Proverbs 11

Pro 11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Pro 11:6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. Pro 11:7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. Pro 11:7 When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish, And the hope of strong men perishes. Pro 11:7 τελευτήσαντος ἀνδρὸς δικαίου οὐκ ὄλλυται ἐλπίς τὸ δὲ καύχημα τῶν ἀσεβῶν ὄλλυται

Pro 11:9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. Pro 11:9 With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Pro 11:9 ἐν στόματι ἀσεβῶν παγὶς πολίταις αἴσθησις δὲ δικαίων εὔοδος

Pro 11:13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. Pro 11:13 He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is trustworthy conceals a matter. Pro 11:13 ἀνὴρ δίγλωσσος ἀποκαλύπτει βουλὰς ἐν συνεδρίῳ πιστὸς δὲ πνοῇ κρύπτει πράγματα
Pro 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Pro 11:14 Where there is no guidance the people fall, But in abundance of counselors there is victory. Pro 11:14 οἷς μὴ ὑπάρχει κυβέρνησις πίπτουσιν ὥσπερ φύλλα σωτηρία δὲ ὑπάρχει ἐν πολλῇ βουλῇ
Pro 11:15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure. Pro 11:15 He who is guarantor for a stranger will surely suffer for it, But he who hates being a guarantor is secure. Pro 11:15 πονηρὸς κακοποιεῖ ὅταν συμμείξῃ δικαίῳ μισεῖ δὲ ἦχον ἀσφαλείας
Pro 11:16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. Pro 11:16 A gracious woman attains honor, And ruthless men attain riches. Pro 11:16 γυνὴ εὐχάριστος ἐγείρει ἀνδρὶ δόξαν θρόνος δὲ ἀτιμίας γυνὴ μισοῦσα δίκαια πλούτου ὀκνηροὶ ἐνδεεῖς γίνονται οἱ δὲ ἀνδρεῖοι ἐρείδονται πλούτῳ
Pro 11:17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. Pro 11:17 The merciful man does himself good, But the cruel man does himself harm. Pro 11:17 τῇ ψυχῇ αὐτοῦ ἀγαθὸν ποιεῖ ἀνὴρ ἐλεήμων ἐξολλύει δὲ αὐτοῦ σῶμα ὁ ἀνελεήμων
Pro 11:18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. Pro 11:18 The wicked earns deceptive wages, But he who sows righteousness gets a true reward. Pro 11:18 ἀσεβὴς ποιεῖ ἔργα ἄδικα σπέρμα δὲ δικαίων μισθὸς ἀληθείας
Pro 11:19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. Pro 11:19 He who is steadfast in righteousness will attain to life, And he who pursues evil will bring about his own death. Pro 11:19 υἱὸς δίκαιος γεννᾶται εἰς ζωήν διωγμὸς δὲ ἀσεβοῦς εἰς θάνατον
Pro 11:20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight. Pro 11:20 The perverse in heart are an abomination to the Lord, But the blameless in their walk are His delight. Pro 11:21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Pro 11:21 Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished, But the descendants of the righteous will be delivered. Pro 11:21 χειρὶ χεῖρας ἐμβαλὼν ἀδίκως οὐκ ἀτιμώρητος ἔσται ὁ δὲ σπείρων δικαιοσύνην λήμψεται μισθὸν πιστόν

Pro 11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. Pro 11:24 There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, And there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. Pro 11:24 εἰσὶν οἳ τὰ ἴδια σπείροντες πλείονα ποιοῦσιν εἰσὶν καὶ οἳ συνάγοντες ἐλαττονοῦνται
Pro 11:25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. Pro 11:25 The generous man will be prosperous, And he who waters will himself be watered. Pro 11:25 ψυχὴ εὐλογουμένη πᾶσα ἁπλῆ ἀνὴρ δὲ θυμώδης οὐκ εὐσχήμων
Pro 11:26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. Pro 11:26 He who withholds grain, the people will curse him, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. Pro 11:26 ὁ συνέχων σῖτον ὑπολίποιτο αὐτὸν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν εὐλογία δὲ εἰς κεφαλὴν τοῦ μεταδιδόντος
Pro 11:27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. Pro 11:27 He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, But he who seeks evil, evil will come to him. Pro 11:27 τεκταινόμενος ἀγαθὰ ζητεῖ χάριν ἀγαθήν ἐκζητοῦντα δὲ κακά καταλήμψεται αὐτόν
Pro 11:28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. Pro 11:28 He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like the green leaf. Pro 11:28 ὁ πεποιθὼς ἐπὶ πλούτῳ οὗτος πεσεῖται ὁ δὲ ἀντιλαμβανόμενος δικαίων οὗτος ἀνατελεῖ
Pro 11:29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. Pro 11:29 He who troubles his own house will inherit wind, And the foolish will be servant to the wisehearted. Pro 11:29 ὁ μὴ συμπεριφερόμενος τῷ ἑαυτοῦ οἴκῳ κληρονομήσει ἄνεμον δουλεύσει δὲ ἄφρων φρονίμῳ
Pro 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Pro 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls. Pro 11:30 ἐκ καρποῦ δικαιοσύνης φύεται δένδρον ζωῆς ἀφαιροῦνται δὲ ἄωροι ψυχαὶ παρανόμων
Pro 11:31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner. Pro 11:31 If the righteous will be rewarded in the earth, How much more the wicked and the sinner! Pro 11:31 εἰ ὁ μὲν δίκαιος μόλις σῴζεται ὁ ἀσεβὴς καὶ ἁμαρτωλὸς ποῦ φανεῖται
