Proverbs 15
Pro 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Pro 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Pro 15:1 ὀργὴ ἀπόλλυσιν καὶ φρονίμους ἀπόκρισις δὲ ὑποπίπτουσα ἀποστρέφει θυμόν λόγος δὲ λυπηρὸς ἐγείρει ὀργάς
Pro 15:2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. Pro 15:2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, But the mouth of fools spouts folly. Pro 15:2 γλῶσσα σοφῶν καλὰ ἐπίσταται στόμα δὲ ἀφρόνων ἀναγγελεῖ κακά

Pro 15:5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. Pro 15:5 A fool rejects his father's discipline, But he who regards reproof is sensible. Pro 15:5 ἄφρων μυκτηρίζει παιδείαν πατρός ὁ δὲ φυλάσσων ἐντολὰς πανουργότερος
Pro 15:6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. Pro 15:6 Great wealth is in the house of the righteous, But trouble is in the income of the wicked. Pro 15:6 ἐν πλεοναζούσῃ δικαιοσύνῃ ἰσχὺς πολλή οἱ δὲ ἀσεβεῖς ὁλόρριζοι ἐκ γῆς ὀλοῦνται οἴκοις δικαίων ἰσχὺς πολλή καρποὶ δὲ ἀσεβῶν ἀπολοῦνται
Pro 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so. Pro 15:7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge, But the hearts of fools are not so. Pro 15:7 χείλη σοφῶν δέδεται αἰσθήσει καρδίαι δὲ ἀφρόνων οὐκ ἀσφαλεῖς

Pro 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. Pro 15:10 Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way; He who hates reproof will die. Pro 15:10 παιδεία ἀκάκου γνωρίζεται ὑπὸ τῶν παριόντων οἱ δὲ μισοῦντες ἐλέγχους τελευτῶσιν αἰσχρῶς
Pro 15:11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? Pro 15:11 Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the Lord, How much more the hearts of men! Pro 15:11 ᾅδης καὶ ἀπώλεια φανερὰ παρὰ τῷ κυρίῳ πῶς οὐχὶ καὶ αἱ καρδίαι τῶν ἀνθρώπων
Pro 15:12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise. Pro 15:12 A scoffer does not love one who reproves him, He will not go to the wise. Pro 15:12 οὐκ ἀγαπήσει ἀπαίδευτος τοὺς ἐλέγχοντας αὐτόν μετὰ δὲ σοφῶν οὐχ ὁμιλήσει
Pro 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Pro 15:13 A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, But when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken. Pro 15:13 καρδίας εὐφραινομένης πρόσωπον θάλλει ἐν δὲ λύπαις οὔσης σκυθρωπάζει

Pro 15:19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain. Pro 15:19 The way of the lazy is as a hedge of thorns, But the path of the upright is a highway. Pro 15:19 ὁδοὶ ἀεργῶν ἐστρωμέναι ἀκάνθαις αἱ δὲ τῶν ἀνδρείων τετριμμέναι

Pro 15:24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. Pro 15:24 The path of life leads upward for the wise That he may keep away from Sheol below. Pro 15:24 ὁδοὶ ζωῆς διανοήματα συνετοῦ ἵνα ἐκκλίνας ἐκ τοῦ ᾅδου σωθῇ
Pro 15:25 The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow. Pro 15:25 The Lord will tear down the house of the proud, But He will establish the boundary of the widow. Pro 15:25 οἴκους ὑβριστῶν κατασπᾷ κύριος ἐστήρισεν δὲ ὅριον χήρας
Pro 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. Pro 15:26 Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord, But pleasant words are pure. Pro 15:26 βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ λογισμὸς ἄδικος ἁγνῶν δὲ ῥήσεις σεμναί
Pro 15:27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. Pro 15:27 He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live. Pro 15:27 ἐξόλλυσιν ἑαυτὸν ὁ δωρολήμπτης ὁ δὲ μισῶν δώρων λήμψεις σῴζεται ~ ἐλεημοσύναις καὶ πίστεσιν ἀποκαθαίρονται ἁμαρτίαι τῷ δὲ φόβῳ κυρίου ἐκκλίνει πᾶς ἀπὸ κακοῦ
