1Ch 17:1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains. 1 Chr 17:1 And it came about, when David dwelt in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, "Behold, I am dwelling in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under curtains." Ch1 17:1 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς κατῴκησεν Δαυιδ ἐν οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Ναθαν τὸν προφήτην ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κατοικῶ ἐν οἴκῳ κεδρίνῳ καὶ ἡ κιβωτὸς διαθήκης κυρίου ὑποκάτω δέρρεων

1Ch 17:7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel: 1 Chr 17:7 Now, therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, "I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel. Ch1 17:7 καὶ νῦν οὕτως ἐρεῖς τῷ δούλῳ μου Δαυιδ τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἔλαβόν σε ἐκ τῆς μάνδρας ἐξόπισθεν τῶν ποιμνίων τοῦ εἶναι εἰς ἡγούμενον ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ
1Ch 17:8 And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth. 1 Chr 17:8 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are in the earth. 1Ch 17:9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, 1 Chr 17:9 I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, so that they may dwell in their own place and not be moved again; and the wicked will not waste them anymore as formerly, Ch1 17:9 καὶ θήσομαι τόπον τῷ λαῷ μου Ισραηλ καὶ καταφυτεύσω αὐτόν καὶ κατασκηνώσει καθ᾽ ἑαυτὸν καὶ οὐ μεριμνήσει ἔτι καὶ οὐ προσθήσει ἀδικία τοῦ ταπεινῶσαι αὐτὸν καθὼς ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς
1Ch 17:10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house. 1 Chr 17:10 even from the day that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. And I will subdue all your enemies. Moreover, I tell you that the Lord will build a house for you. Ch1 17:10 καὶ ἀφ᾽ ἡμερῶν ὧν ἔταξα κριτὰς ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ καὶ ἐταπείνωσα ἅπαντας τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου καὶ αὐξήσω σε καὶ οἶκον οἰκοδομήσει σοι κύριος
1Ch 17:11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 1 Chr 17:11 When your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up one of your descendants after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 1Ch 17:12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. 1 Chr 17:12 He shall build for Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. Ch1 17:12 αὐτὸς οἰκοδομήσει μοι οἶκον καὶ ἀνορθώσω τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος

1Ch 17:14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore. 1 Chr 17:14 But I will settle him in My house and in My kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forever."'" 1Ch 17:16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? 1 Chr 17:16 Then David the king went in and sat before the Lord and said, "Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house that You have brought me this far? Ch1 17:16 καὶ ἦλθεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Δαυιδ καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἀπέναντι κυρίου καὶ εἶπεν τίς εἰμι ἐγώ κύριε ὁ θεός καὶ τίς ὁ οἶκός μου ὅτι ἠγάπησάς με ἕως αἰῶνος
1Ch 17:17 And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God. 1 Chr 17:17 This was a small thing in Your eyes, O God; but You have spoken of Your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the standard of a man of high degree, O Lord God. Ch1 17:17 καὶ ἐσμικρύνθη ταῦτα ἐνώπιόν σου ὁ θεός καὶ ἐλάλησας ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ παιδός σου ἐκ μακρῶν καὶ ἐπεῖδές με ὡς ὅρασις ἀνθρώπου καὶ ὕψωσάς με κύριε ὁ θεός
1Ch 17:18 What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant. 1 Chr 17:18 What more can David still say to You concerning the honor bestowed on Your servant? For You know Your servant. Ch1 17:18 τί προσθήσει ἔτι Δαυιδ πρὸς σὲ τοῦ δοξάσαι καὶ σὺ τὸν δοῦλόν σου οἶδας
1Ch 17:19 O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things. 1 Chr 17:19 O Lord, for Your servant's sake, and according to Your own heart, You have wrought all this greatness, to make known all these great things. 1Ch 17:21 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt? 1 Chr 17:21 And what one nation in the earth is like Your people Israel, whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make You a name by great and terrible things, in driving out nations from before Your people, whom You redeemed out of Egypt? Ch1 17:21 καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὡς ὁ λαός σου Ισραηλ ἔθνος ἔτι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ὡς ὡδήγησεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεὸς τοῦ λυτρώσασθαι ἑαυτῷ λαὸν τοῦ θέσθαι ἑαυτῷ ὄνομα μέγα καὶ ἐπιφανὲς τοῦ ἐκβαλεῖν ἀπὸ προσώπου λαοῦ σου οὓς ἐλυτρώσω ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἔθνη
1Ch 17:22 For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God. 1 Chr 17:22 For Your people Israel You made Your own people forever, and You, O Lord, became their God. Ch1 17:22 καὶ ἔδωκας τὸν λαόν σου Ισραηλ σεαυτῷ λαὸν ἕως αἰῶνος καὶ σύ κύριε αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν
1Ch 17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said. 1 Chr 17:23 "Now, O Lord, let the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house be established forever, and do as You have spoken. Ch1 17:23 καὶ νῦν κύριε ὁ λόγος σου ὃν ἐλάλησας πρὸς τὸν παῖδά σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ πιστωθήτω ἕως αἰῶνος
1Ch 17:24 Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee. 1 Chr 17:24 Let Your name be established and magnified forever, saying, 'The Lord of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel; and the house of David Your servant is established before You.' 1Ch 17:25 For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee. 1 Chr 17:25 For You, O my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build for him a house; therefore Your servant has found courage to pray before You. Ch1 17:25 ὅτι σύ κύριε ἤνοιξας τὸ οὖς τοῦ παιδός σου τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἶκον διὰ τοῦτο εὗρεν ὁ παῖς σου τοῦ προσεύξασθαι κατὰ πρόσωπόν σου
1Ch 17:26 And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: 1 Chr 17:26 Now, O Lord, You are God, and have promised this good thing to Your servant. Ch1 17:26 καὶ νῦν κύριε σὺ εἶ αὐτὸς ὁ θεὸς καὶ ἐλάλησας ἐπὶ τὸν δοῦλόν σου τὰ ἀγαθὰ ταῦτα
1Ch 17:27 Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever. 1 Chr 17:27 And now it has pleased You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You; for You, O Lord, have blessed, and it is blessed forever." Ch1 17:27 καὶ νῦν ἤρξω τοῦ εὐλογῆσαι τὸν οἶκον τοῦ παιδός σου τοῦ εἶναι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐναντίον σου ὅτι σύ κύριε εὐλόγησας καὶ εὐλόγησον εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
1Ch 18:1 Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines. 1 Chr 18:1 Now after this it came about that David defeated the Philistines and subdued them and took Gath and its towns from the hand of the Philistines. Ch1 18:1 καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἐπάταξεν Δαυιδ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἐτροπώσατο αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν Γεθ καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς ἐκ χειρὸς ἀλλοφύλων
1Ch 18:2 And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts. 1 Chr 18:2 He defeated Moab, and the Moabites became servants to David, bringing tribute. Ch1 18:2 καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὴν Μωαβ καὶ ἦσαν Μωαβ παῖδες τῷ Δαυιδ φέροντες δῶρα
1Ch 18:3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates. 1 Chr 18:3 David also defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah as far as Hamath, as he went to establish his rule to the Euphrates River. Ch1 18:3 καὶ ἐπάταξεν Δαυιδ τὸν Αδρααζαρ βασιλέα Σουβα Ημαθ πορευομένου αὐτοῦ ἐπιστῆσαι χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ ποταμὸν Εὐφράτην
1Ch 18:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots. 1 Chr 18:4 David took from him 1,000 chariots and 7,000 horsemen and 20,000 foot soldiers, and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved enough of them for 100 chariots. Ch1 18:4 καὶ προκατελάβετο Δαυιδ αὐτῶν χίλια ἅρματα καὶ ἑπτὰ χιλιάδας ἵππων καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν πεζῶν καὶ παρέλυσεν Δαυιδ πάντα τὰ ἅρματα καὶ ὑπελίπετο ἐξ αὐτῶν ἑκατὸν ἅρματα
1Ch 18:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men. 1 Chr 18:5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David killed 22,000 men of the Arameans. Ch1 18:5 καὶ ἦλθεν Σύρος ἐκ Δαμασκοῦ βοηθῆσαι Αδρααζαρ βασιλεῖ Σουβα καὶ ἐπάταξεν Δαυιδ ἐν τῷ Σύρῳ εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν
1Ch 18:6 Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went. 1 Chr 18:6 Then David put garrisons among the Arameans of Damascus; and the Arameans became servants to David, bringing tribute. And the Lord helped David wherever he went. Ch1 18:6 καὶ ἔθετο Δαυιδ φρουρὰν ἐν Συρίᾳ τῇ κατὰ Δαμασκόν καὶ ἦσαν τῷ Δαυιδ εἰς παῖδας φέροντας δῶρα καὶ ἔσῳζεν κύριος τὸν Δαυιδ ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐπορεύετο
1Ch 18:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem. 1 Chr 18:7 David took the shields of gold which were carried by the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem. 1Ch 18:8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. 1 Chr 18:8 Also from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took a very large amount of bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea and the pillars and the bronze utensils. Ch1 18:8 καὶ ἐκ τῆς μεταβηχας καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐκλεκτῶν πόλεων τῶν Αδρααζαρ ἔλαβεν Δαυιδ χαλκὸν πολὺν σφόδρα ἐξ αὐτοῦ ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν χαλκῆν καὶ τοὺς στύλους καὶ τὰ σκεύη τὰ χαλκᾶ
1Ch 18:9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah; 1 Chr 18:9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard that David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah, Ch1 18:9 καὶ ἤκουσεν Θωα βασιλεὺς Ημαθ ὅτι ἐπάταξεν Δαυιδ τὴν πᾶσαν δύναμιν Αδρααζαρ βασιλέως Σουβα
1Ch 18:10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass. 1 Chr 18:10 he sent Hadoram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and had defeated him; for Hadadezer had been at war with Tou. And Hadoram brought all kinds of articles of gold and silver and bronze. Ch1 18:10 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν Ιδουραμ υἱὸν αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Δαυιδ τοῦ ἐρωτῆσαι αὐτὸν τὰ εἰς εἰρήνην καὶ τοῦ εὐλογῆσαι αὐτὸν ὑπὲρ οὗ ἐπολέμησεν τὸν Αδρααζαρ καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτόν ὅτι ἀνὴρ πολέμιος Θωα ἦν τῷ Αδρααζαρ καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη ἀργυρᾶ καὶ χρυσᾶ
1Ch 18:11 Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek. 1 Chr 18:11 King David also dedicated these to the Lord with the silver and the gold which he had carried away from all the nations: from Edom, Moab, the sons of Ammon, the Philistines, and from Amalek. Ch1 18:11 καὶ ταῦτα ἡγίασεν Δαυιδ τῷ κυρίῳ μετὰ τοῦ ἀργυρίου καὶ τοῦ χρυσίου οὗ ἔλαβεν ἐκ πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐξ Ιδουμαίας καὶ Μωαβ καὶ ἐξ υἱῶν Αμμων καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἐξ Αμαληκ
1Ch 18:12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand. 1 Chr 18:12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah defeated 18,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt. Ch1 18:12 καὶ Αβεσσα υἱὸς Σαρουια ἐπάταξεν τὴν Ιδουμαίαν ἐν κοιλάδι τῶν ἁλῶν ὀκτὼ καὶ δέκα χιλιάδας
1Ch 18:13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went. 1 Chr 18:13 Then he put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord helped David wherever he went. Ch1 18:13 καὶ ἔθετο ἐν τῇ κοιλάδι φρουράς καὶ ἦσαν πάντες οἱ Ιδουμαῖοι παῖδες Δαυιδ καὶ ἔσῳζεν κύριος τὸν Δαυιδ ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐπορεύετο
1Ch 18:14 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people. 1 Chr 18:14 So David reigned over all Israel; and he administered justice and righteousness for all his people. 1Ch 19:2 And David said, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father shewed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him. 1 Chr 19:2 Then David said, "I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me." So David sent messengers to console him concerning his father. And David's servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon to Hanun to console him. 1Ch 19:3 But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? are not his servants come unto thee for to search, and to overthrow, and to spy out the land? 1 Chr 19:3 But the princes of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun, "Do you think that David is honoring your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Have not his servants come to you to search and to overthrow and to spy out the land?" Ch1 19:3 καὶ εἶπον ἄρχοντες Αμμων πρὸς Αναν μὴ δοξάζων Δαυιδ τὸν πατέρα σου ἐναντίον σου ἀπέστειλέν σοι παρακαλοῦντας οὐχ ὅπως ἐξερευνήσωσιν τὴν πόλιν τοῦ κατασκοπῆσαι τὴν γῆν ἦλθον παῖδες αὐτοῦ πρὸς σέ
1Ch 19:4 Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved them, and cut off their garments in the midst hard by their buttocks, and sent them away. 1 Chr 19:4 So Hanun took David's servants and shaved them and cut off their garments in the middle as far as their hips, and sent them away. 1Ch 19:5 Then there went certain, and told David how the men were served. And he sent to meet them: for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return. 1 Chr 19:5 Then certain persons went and told David about the men. And he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly humiliated. And the king said, "Stay at Jericho until your beards grow, and then return." 1Ch 19:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Mesopotamia, and out of Syriamaachah, and out of Zobah. 1 Chr 19:6 When the sons of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Hanun and the sons of Ammon sent 1,000 talents of silver to hire for themselves chariots and horsemen from Mesopotamia, from Aram-maacah and from Zobah. Ch1 19:6 καὶ εἶδον οἱ υἱοὶ Αμμων ὅτι ᾐσχύνθη λαὸς Δαυιδ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Αναν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Αμμων χίλια τάλαντα ἀργυρίου τοῦ μισθώσασθαι ἑαυτοῖς ἐκ Συρίας Μεσοποταμίας καὶ ἐκ Συρίας Μοοχα καὶ ἐκ Σωβα ἅρματα καὶ ἱππεῖς
1Ch 19:7 So they hired thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah and his people; who came and pitched before Medeba. And the children of Ammon gathered themselves together from their cities, and came to battle. 1 Chr 19:7 So they hired for themselves 32,000 chariots, and the king of Maacah and his people, who came and camped before Medeba. And the sons of Ammon gathered together from their cities and came to battle. 1Ch 19:8 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men. 1 Chr 19:8 When David heard of it, he sent Joab and all the army, the mighty men. Ch1 19:8 καὶ ἤκουσεν Δαυιδ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν Ιωαβ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν στρατιὰν τῶν δυνατῶν
1Ch 19:9 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array before the gate of the city: and the kings that were come were by themselves in the field. 1 Chr 19:9 The sons of Ammon came out and drew up in battle array at the entrance of the city, and the kings who had come were by themselves in the field. Ch1 19:9 καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ υἱοὶ Αμμων καὶ παρατάσσονται εἰς πόλεμον παρὰ τὸν πυλῶνα τῆς πόλεως καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς οἱ ἐλθόντες παρενέβαλον καθ᾽ ἑαυτοὺς ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ
1Ch 19:10 Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians. 1 Chr 19:10 Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him in front and in the rear, he selected from all the choice men of Israel and they arrayed themselves against the Arameans. 1Ch 19:11 And the rest of the people he delivered unto the hand of Abishai his brother, and they set themselves in array against the children of Ammon. 1 Chr 19:11 But the remainder of the people he placed in the hand of Abshai his brother; and they arrayed themselves against the sons of Ammon. 1Ch 19:12 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will help thee. 1 Chr 19:12 He said, "If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the sons of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will help you. 1Ch 19:13 Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight. 1 Chr 19:13 Be strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for the cities of our God; and may the Lord do what is good in His sight." 1Ch 19:14 So Joab and the people that were with him drew nigh before the Syrians unto the battle; and they fled before him. 1 Chr 19:14 So Joab and the people who were with him drew near to the battle against the Arameans, and they fled before him. 1Ch 19:15 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they likewise fled before Abishai his brother, and entered into the city. Then Joab came to Jerusalem. 1 Chr 19:15 When the sons of Ammon saw that the Arameans fled, they also fled before Abshai his brother and entered the city. Then Joab came to Jerusalem. Ch1 19:15 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Αμμων εἶδον ὅτι ἔφυγον Σύροι καὶ ἔφυγον καὶ αὐτοὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου Ιωαβ καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου Αβεσσα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ ἦλθεν Ιωαβ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ
1Ch 19:16 And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they sent messengers, and drew forth the Syrians that were beyond the river: and Shophach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them. 1 Chr 19:16 When the Arameans saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they sent messengers and brought out the Arameans who were beyond the River, with Shophach the commander of the army of Hadadezer leading them. Ch1 19:16 καὶ εἶδεν Σύρος ὅτι ἐτροπώσατο αὐτὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ἀγγέλους καὶ ἐξήγαγον τὸν Σύρον ἐκ τοῦ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ Σωφαχ ἀρχιστράτηγος δυνάμεως Αδρααζαρ ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν
1Ch 19:17 And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came upon them, and set the battle in array against them. So when David had put the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with him. 1 Chr 19:17 When it was told David, he gathered all Israel together and crossed the Jordan, and came upon them and drew up in formation against them. And when David drew up in battle array against the Arameans, they fought against him. Ch1 19:17 καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τῷ Δαυιδ καὶ συνήγαγεν τὸν πάντα Ισραηλ καὶ διέβη τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ ἦλθεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς καὶ παρετάξατο ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς καὶ παρατάσσεται Σύρος ἐξ ἐναντίας Δαυιδ καὶ ἐπολέμησαν αὐτόν
1Ch 19:18 But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host. 1 Chr 19:18 The Arameans fled before Israel, and David killed of the Arameans 7,000 charioteers and 40,000 foot soldiers, and put to death Shophach the commander of the army. Ch1 19:18 καὶ ἔφυγεν Σύρος ἀπὸ προσώπου Δαυιδ καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν Δαυιδ ἀπὸ τοῦ Σύρου ἑπτὰ χιλιάδας ἁρμάτων καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδας πεζῶν καὶ τὸν Σωφαχ ἀρχιστράτηγον δυνάμεως ἀπέκτεινεν
1Ch 19:19 And when the servants of Hadarezer saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they made peace with David, and became his servants: neither would the Syrians help the children of Ammon any more. 1 Chr 19:19 So when the servants of Hadadezer saw that they were defeated by Israel, they made peace with David and served him. Thus the Arameans were not willing to help the sons of Ammon anymore. Ch1 19:19 καὶ εἶδον παῖδες Αδρααζαρ ὅτι ἐπταίκασιν ἀπὸ προσώπου Ισραηλ καὶ διέθεντο μετὰ Δαυιδ καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτῷ καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν Σύρος τοῦ βοηθῆσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Αμμων ἔτι
