Pro 4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. Pro 4:1 Hear, O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, Pro 4:1 ἀκούσατε παῖδες παιδείαν πατρὸς καὶ προσέχετε γνῶναι ἔννοιαν
Pro 4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. Pro 4:2 For I give you sound teaching; Do not abandon my instruction. Pro 4:2 δῶρον γὰρ ἀγαθὸν δωροῦμαι ὑμῖν τὸν ἐμὸν νόμον μὴ ἐγκαταλίπητε

Pro 6:1 My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger, Pro 6:1 My son, if you have become surety for your neighbor, Have given a pledge for a stranger, Pro 6:1 υἱέ ἐὰν ἐγγυήσῃ σὸν φίλον παραδώσεις σὴν χεῖρα ἐχθρῷ
Pro 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Pro 6:2 If you have been snared with the words of your mouth, Have been caught with the words of your mouth, Pro 6:2 παγὶς γὰρ ἰσχυρὰ ἀνδρὶ τὰ ἴδια χείλη καὶ ἁλίσκεται χείλεσιν ἰδίου στόματος
Pro 6:3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend. Pro 6:3 Do this then, my son, and deliver yourself; Since you have come into the hand of your neighbor, Go, humble yourself, and importune your neighbor. Pro 6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Pro 6:7 Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler, Pro 6:7 ἐκείνῳ γὰρ γεωργίου μὴ ὑπάρχοντος μηδὲ τὸν ἀναγκάζοντα ἔχων μηδὲ ὑπὸ δεσπότην ὢν

Pro 6:8 ἑτοιμάζεται θέρους τὴν τροφὴν πολλήν τε ἐν τῷ ἀμήτῳ ποιεῖται τὴν παράθεσιν ~ ἢ πορεύθητι πρὸς τὴν μέλισσαν καὶ μάθε ὡς ἐργάτις ἐστὶν τήν τε ἐργασίαν ὡς σεμνὴν ποιεῖται ~ ἧς τοὺς πόνους βασιλεῖς καὶ ἰδιῶται πρὸς ὑγίειαν προσφέρονται ποθεινὴ δέ ἐστιν πᾶσιν καὶ ἐπίδοξος ~ καίπερ οὖσα τῇ ῥώμῃ ἀσθενής τὴν σοφίαν τιμήσασα προήχθη
Pro 6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Pro 6:9 How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? Pro 6:9 ἕως τίνος ὀκνηρέ κατάκεισαι πότε δὲ ἐξ ὕπνου ἐγερθήσῃ

Pro 6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. Pro 6:11 Your poverty will come in like a vagabond And your need like an armed man. Pro 6:12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. Pro 6:12 A worthless person, a wicked man, Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth, Pro 6:12 ἀνὴρ ἄφρων καὶ παράνομος πορεύεται ὁδοὺς οὐκ ἀγαθάς
Pro 6:13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; Pro 6:13 Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, Who points with his fingers; Pro 6:13 ὁ δ᾽ αὐτὸς ἐννεύει ὀφθαλμῷ σημαίνει δὲ ποδί διδάσκει δὲ ἐννεύμασιν δακτύλων
Pro 6:14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Pro 6:14 Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, Who spreads strife. Pro 6:14 διεστραμμένῃ δὲ καρδίᾳ τεκταίνεται κακὰ ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ ὁ τοιοῦτος ταραχὰς συνίστησιν πόλει
