Day - 204 - Isaiah 32-34
Isa 32:1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. Isa 32:1 Behold, a king will reign righteously And princes will rule justly. Isa 32:1 ἰδοὺ γὰρ βασιλεὺς δίκαιος βασιλεύσει καὶ ἄρχοντες μετὰ κρίσεως ἄρξουσιν
Isa 32:2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Isa 32:2 Each will be like a refuge from the wind And a shelter from the storm, Like streams of water in a dry country, Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land. Isa 32:2 καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἄνθρωπος κρύπτων τοὺς λόγους αὐτοῦ καὶ κρυβήσεται ὡς ἀφ᾽ ὕδατος φερομένου καὶ φανήσεται ἐν Σιων ὡς ποταμὸς φερόμενος ἔνδοξος ἐν γῇ διψώσῃ
Isa 32:3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. Isa 32:3 Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, And the ears of those who hear will listen. Isa 32:3 καὶ οὐκέτι ἔσονται πεποιθότες ἐπ᾽ ἀνθρώποις ἀλλὰ τὰ ὦτα δώσουσιν ἀκούειν
Isa 32:4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. Isa 32:4 The mind of the hasty will discern the truth, And the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly. Isa 32:4 καὶ ἡ καρδία τῶν ἀσθενούντων προσέξει τοῦ ἀκούειν καὶ αἱ γλῶσσαι αἱ ψελλίζουσαι ταχὺ μαθήσονται λαλεῖν εἰρήνην
Isa 32:5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. Isa 32:5 No longer will the fool be called noble, Or the rogue be spoken of as generous. Isa 32:5 καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ εἴπωσιν τῷ μωρῷ ἄρχειν καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ εἴπωσιν οἱ ὑπηρέται σου σίγα
Isa 32:6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. Isa 32:6 For a fool speaks nonsense, And his heart inclines toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the Lord, To keep the hungry person unsatisfied And to withhold drink from the thirsty. Isa 32:6 ὁ γὰρ μωρὸς μωρὰ λαλήσει καὶ ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ μάταια νοήσει τοῦ συντελεῖν ἄνομα καὶ λαλεῖν πρὸς κύριον πλάνησιν τοῦ διασπεῖραι ψυχὰς πεινώσας καὶ τὰς ψυχὰς τὰς διψώσας κενὰς ποιῆσαι
Isa 32:7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. Isa 32:7 As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; He devises wicked schemes To destroy the afflicted with slander, Even though the needy one speaks what is right. Isa 32:7 ἡ γὰρ βουλὴ τῶν πονηρῶν ἄνομα βουλεύσεται καταφθεῖραι ταπεινοὺς ἐν λόγοις ἀδίκοις καὶ διασκεδάσαι λόγους ταπεινῶν ἐν κρίσει
Isa 32:8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand. Isa 32:8 But the noble man devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands. Isa 32:8 οἱ δὲ εὐσεβεῖς συνετὰ ἐβουλεύσαντο καὶ αὕτη ἡ βουλὴ μενεῖ
Isa 32:9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech. Isa 32:9 Rise up, you women who are at ease, And hear my voice; Give ear to my word, You complacent daughters. Isa 32:9 γυναῖκες πλούσιαι ἀνάστητε καὶ ἀκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς μου θυγατέρες ἐν ἐλπίδι ἀκούσατε τοὺς λόγους μου
Isa 32:10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come. Isa 32:10 Within a year and a few days You will be troubled, O complacent daughters; For the vintage is ended, And the fruit gathering will not come. Isa 32:10 ἡμέρας ἐνιαυτοῦ μνείαν ποιήσασθε ἐν ὀδύνῃ μετ᾽ ἐλπίδος ἀνήλωται ὁ τρύγητος πέπαυται ὁ σπόρος καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ ἔλθῃ
Isa 32:11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins. Isa 32:11 Tremble, you women who are at ease; Be troubled, you complacent daughters; Strip, undress and put sackcloth on your waist, Isa 32:11 ἔκστητε λυπήθητε αἱ πεποιθυῖαι ἐκδύσασθε γυμναὶ γένεσθε περιζώσασθε σάκκους τὰς ὀσφύας
Isa 32:12 They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine. Isa 32:12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine, Isa 32:12 καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν μαστῶν κόπτεσθε ἀπὸ ἀγροῦ ἐπιθυμήματος καὶ ἀμπέλου γενήματος
Isa 32:13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city: Isa 32:13 For the land of my people in which thorns and briars shall come up; Yea, for all the joyful houses and for the jubilant city. Isa 32:13 ἡ γῆ τοῦ λαοῦ μου ἄκανθα καὶ χόρτος ἀναβήσεται καὶ ἐκ πάσης οἰκίας εὐφροσύνη ἀρθήσεται πόλις πλουσία
Isa 32:14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; Isa 32:14 Because the palace has been abandoned, the populated city forsaken. Hill and watch-tower have become caves forever, A delight for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks; Isa 32:14 οἶκοι ἐγκαταλελειμμένοι πλοῦτον πόλεως καὶ οἴκους ἐπιθυμητοὺς ἀφήσουσιν καὶ ἔσονται αἱ κῶμαι σπήλαια ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος εὐφροσύνη ὄνων ἀγρίων βοσκήματα ποιμένων
Isa 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. Isa 32:15 Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fertile field, And the fertile field is considered as a forest. Isa 32:15 ἕως ἂν ἐπέλθῃ ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς πνεῦμα ἀφ᾽ ὑψηλοῦ καὶ ἔσται ἔρημος ὁ Χερμελ καὶ ὁ Χερμελ εἰς δρυμὸν λογισθήσεται
Isa 32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. Isa 32:16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness And righteousness will abide in the fertile field. Isa 32:16 καὶ ἀναπαύσεται ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνη ἐν τῷ Καρμήλῳ κατοικήσει
Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. Isa 32:17 καὶ ἔσται τὰ ἔργα τῆς δικαιοσύνης εἰρήνη καὶ κρατήσει ἡ δικαιοσύνη ἀνάπαυσιν καὶ πεποιθότες ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος
Isa 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; Isa 32:18 Then my people will live in a peaceful habitation, And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places; Isa 32:18 καὶ κατοικήσει ὁ λαὸς αὐτοῦ ἐν πόλει εἰρήνης καὶ ἐνοικήσει πεποιθώς καὶ ἀναπαύσονται μετὰ πλούτου
Isa 32:19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place. Isa 32:19 And it will hail when the forest comes down, And the city will be utterly laid low. Isa 32:19 ἡ δὲ χάλαζα ἐὰν καταβῇ οὐκ ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς ἥξει καὶ ἔσονται οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν τοῖς δρυμοῖς πεποιθότες ὡς οἱ ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ
Isa 32:20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass. Isa 32:20 How blessed will you be, you who sow beside all waters, Who let out freely the ox and the donkey. Isa 32:20 μακάριοι οἱ σπείροντες ἐπὶ πᾶν ὕδωρ οὗ βοῦς καὶ ὄνος πατεῖ
Isa 33:1 Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee. Isa 33:1 Woe to you, O destroyer, While you were not destroyed; And he who is treacherous, while others did not deal treacherously with him. As soon as you finish destroying, you will be destroyed; As soon as you cease to deal treacherously, others will deal treacherously with you. Isa 33:1 οὐαὶ τοῖς ταλαιπωροῦσιν ὑμᾶς ὑμᾶς δὲ οὐδεὶς ποιεῖ ταλαιπώρους καὶ ὁ ἀθετῶν ὑμᾶς οὐκ ἀθετεῖ ἁλώσονται οἱ ἀθετοῦντες καὶ παραδοθήσονται καὶ ὡς σὴς ἐπὶ ἱματίου οὕτως ἡττηθήσονται
Isa 33:2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. Isa 33:2 O Lord, be gracious to us; we have waited for You. Be their strength every morning, Our salvation also in the time of distress. Isa 33:2 κύριε ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς ἐπὶ σοὶ γὰρ πεποίθαμεν ἐγενήθη τὸ σπέρμα τῶν ἀπειθούντων εἰς ἀπώλειαν ἡ δὲ σωτηρία ἡμῶν ἐν καιρῷ θλίψεως
Isa 33:3 At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered. Isa 33:3 At the sound of the tumult peoples flee; At the lifting up of Yourself nations disperse. Isa 33:3 διὰ φωνὴν τοῦ φόβου σου ἐξέστησαν λαοὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου σου καὶ διεσπάρησαν τὰ ἔθνη
Isa 33:4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them. Isa 33:4 Your spoil is gathered as the caterpillar gathers; As locusts rushing about men rush about on it. Isa 33:4 νῦν δὲ συναχθήσεται τὰ σκῦλα ὑμῶν μικροῦ καὶ μεγάλου ὃν τρόπον ἐάν τις συναγάγῃ ἀκρίδας οὕτως ἐμπαίξουσιν ὑμῖν
Isa 33:5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. Isa 33:5 The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. Isa 33:5 ἅγιος ὁ θεὸς ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ὑψηλοῖς ἐνεπλήσθη Σιων κρίσεως καὶ δικαιοσύνης
Isa 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure. Isa 33:6 And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is his treasure. Isa 33:6 ἐν νόμῳ παραδοθήσονται ἐν θησαυροῖς ἡ σωτηρία ἡμῶν ἐκεῖ σοφία καὶ ἐπιστήμη καὶ εὐσέβεια πρὸς τὸν κύριον οὗτοί εἰσιν θησαυροὶ δικαιοσύνης
Isa 33:7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly. Isa 33:7 Behold, their brave men cry in the streets, The ambassadors of peace weep bitterly. Isa 33:7 ἰδοὺ δὴ ἐν τῷ φόβῳ ὑμῶν αὐτοὶ φοβηθήσονται οὓς ἐφοβεῖσθε φοβηθήσονται ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν ἄγγελοι γὰρ ἀποσταλήσονται ἀξιοῦντες εἰρήνην πικρῶς κλαίοντες παρακαλοῦντες εἰρήνην
Isa 33:8 The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man. Isa 33:8 The highways are desolate, the traveler has ceased, He has broken the covenant, he has despised the cities, He has no regard for man. Isa 33:8 ἐρημωθήσονται γὰρ αἱ τούτων ὁδοί πέπαυται ὁ φόβος τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ἡ πρὸς τούτους διαθήκη αἴρεται καὶ οὐ μὴ λογίσησθε αὐτοὺς ἀνθρώπους
Isa 33 9 The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits. Isa 33:9 The land mourns and pines away, Lebanon is shamed and withers; Sharon is like a desert plain, And Bashan and Carmel lose their foliage. Isa 33:9 ἐπένθησεν ἡ γῆ ᾐσχύνθη ὁ Λίβανος ἕλη ἐγένετο ὁ Σαρων φανερὰ ἔσται ἡ Γαλιλαία καὶ ὁ Κάρμηλος
Isa 33:10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself. Isa 33:10 "Now I will arise," says the Lord," Now I will be exalted, now I will be lifted up. Isa 33:10 νῦν ἀναστήσομαι λέγει κύριος νῦν δοξασθήσομαι νῦν ὑψωθήσομαι
Isa 33:11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you. Isa 33:11 "You have conceived chaff, you will give birth to stubble; My breath will consume you like a fire. Isa 33:11 νῦν ὄψεσθε νῦν αἰσθηθήσεσθε ματαία ἔσται ἡ ἰσχὺς τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν πῦρ ὑμᾶς κατέδεται
Isa 33:12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire. Isa 33:12 "The peoples will be burned to lime, Like cut thorns which are burned in the fire. Isa 33:12 καὶ ἔσονται ἔθνη κατακεκαυμένα ὡς ἄκανθα ἐν ἀγρῷ ἐρριμμένη καὶ κατακεκαυμένη
Isa 33:13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might. Isa 33:13 "You who are far away, hear what I have done; And you who are near, acknowledge My might." Isa 33:13 ἀκούσονται οἱ πόρρωθεν ἃ ἐποίησα γνώσονται οἱ ἐγγίζοντες τὴν ἰσχύν μου
Isa 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? Isa 33:14 Sinners in Zion are terrified; Trembling has seized the godless." Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?" Isa 33:14 ἀπέστησαν οἱ ἐν Σιων ἄνομοι λήμψεται τρόμος τοὺς ἀσεβεῖς τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν ὅτι πῦρ καίεται τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν τὸν τόπον τὸν αἰώνιον
Isa 33:15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; Isa 33:15 He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, He who rejects unjust gain And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed And shuts his eyes from looking upon evil; Isa 33:15 πορευόμενος ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ λαλῶν εὐθεῖαν ὁδόν μισῶν ἀνομίαν καὶ ἀδικίαν καὶ τὰς χεῖρας ἀποσειόμενος ἀπὸ δώρων βαρύνων τὰ ὦτα ἵνα μὴ ἀκούσῃ κρίσιν αἵματος καμμύων τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἵνα μὴ ἴδῃ ἀδικίαν
Isa 33 16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Isa 33:16 He will dwell on the heights, His refuge will be the impregnable rock; His bread will be given him, His water will be sure. Isa 33:16 οὗτος οἰκήσει ἐν ὑψηλῷ σπηλαίῳ πέτρας ἰσχυρᾶς ἄρτος αὐτῷ δοθήσεται καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ αὐτοῦ πιστόν
Isa 33:17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off. Isa 33:17 Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; They will behold a far-distant land. Isa 33:17 βασιλέα μετὰ δόξης ὄψεσθε καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ὄψονται γῆν πόρρωθεν
Isa 33:18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers? Isa 33:18 Your heart will meditate on terror:" Where is he who counts? Where is he who weighs? Where is he who counts the towers?" Isa 33:18 ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν μελετήσει φόβον ποῦ εἰσιν οἱ γραμματικοί ποῦ εἰσιν οἱ συμβουλεύοντες ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ ἀριθμῶν τοὺς τρεφομένους
Isa 33:19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand. Isa 33:19 You will no longer see a fierce people, A people of unintelligible speech which no one comprehends, Of a stammering tongue which no one understands. Isa 33:19 μικρὸν καὶ μέγαν λαόν ᾧ οὐ συνεβουλεύσαντο οὐδὲ ᾔδει βαθύφωνον ὥστε μὴ ἀκοῦσαι λαὸς πεφαυλισμένος καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν τῷ ἀκούοντι σύνεσις
Isa 33:20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken. Isa 33:20 Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts; Your eyes will see Jerusalem, an undisturbed habitation, A tent which will not be folded; Its stakes will never be pulled up, Nor any of its cords be torn apart. Isa 33:20 ἰδοὺ Σιων ἡ πόλις τὸ σωτήριον ἡμῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ὄψονται Ιερουσαλημ πόλις πλουσία σκηναὶ αἳ οὐ μὴ σεισθῶσιν οὐδὲ μὴ κινηθῶσιν οἱ πάσσαλοι τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτῆς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα χρόνον οὐδὲ τὰ σχοινία αὐτῆς οὐ μὴ διαρραγῶσιν
Isa 33:21 But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby. Isa 33:21 But there the majestic One, the Lord, will be for us A place of rivers and wide canals On which no boat with oars will go, And on which no mighty ship will pass" Isa 33:21 ὅτι τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου μέγα ὑμῖν τόπος ὑμῖν ἔσται ποταμοὶ καὶ διώρυγες πλατεῖς καὶ εὐρύχωροι οὐ πορεύσῃ ταύτην τὴν ὁδόν οὐδὲ πορεύσεται πλοῖον ἐλαῦνον
Isa 33:22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. Isa 33:22 For the Lord is our judge, The Lord is our lawgiver, The Lord is our king; He will save us" Isa 33:22 ὁ γὰρ θεός μου μέγας ἐστίν οὐ παρελεύσεταί με κύριος κριτὴς ἡμῶν κύριος ἄρχων ἡμῶν κύριος βασιλεὺς ἡμῶν κύριος οὗτος ἡμᾶς σώσει
Isa 33:23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey. Isa 33:23 Your tackle hangs slack; It cannot hold the base of its mast firmly, Nor spread out the sail. Then the prey of an abundant spoil will be divided; The lame will take the plunder. Isa 33:23 ἐρράγησαν τὰ σχοινία σου ὅτι οὐκ ἐνίσχυσεν ὁ ἱστός σου ἔκλινεν οὐ χαλάσει τὰ ἱστία οὐκ ἀρεῖ σημεῖον ἕως οὗ παραδοθῇ εἰς προνομήν τοίνυν πολλοὶ χωλοὶ προνομὴν ποιήσουσιν
Isa 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Isa 33:24 And no resident will say," I am sick"; The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity. Isa 33:24 καὶ οὐ μὴ εἴπῃ κοπιῶ ὁ λαὸς ὁ ἐνοικῶν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἀφέθη γὰρ αὐτοῖς ἡ ἁμαρτία
Isa 34:1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. Isa 34:1 Draw near, O nations, to hear; and listen, O peoples! Let the earth and all it contains hear, and the world and all that springs from it. Isa 34:1 προσαγάγετε ἔθνη καὶ ἀκούσατε ἄρχοντες ἀκουσάτω ἡ γῆ καὶ οἱ ἐν αὐτῇ ἡ οἰκουμένη καὶ ὁ λαὸς ὁ ἐν αὐτῇ
Isa 34:2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. Isa 34:2 For the Lord's indignation is against all the nations, And His wrath against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to slaughter. Isa 34:2 διότι θυμὸς κυρίου ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη καὶ ὀργὴ ἐπὶ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν τοῦ ἀπολέσαι αὐτοὺς καὶ παραδοῦναι αὐτοὺς εἰς σφαγήν
Isa 34:3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. Isa 34:3 So their slain will be thrown out, And their corpses will give off their stench, And the mountains will be drenched with their blood. Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven will wear away, And the sky will be rolled up like a scroll; All their hosts will also wither away As a leaf withers from the vine, Or as one withers from the fig tree. Isa 34:5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. Isa 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. Isa 34:7 And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. Isa 34:7 Wild oxen will also fall with them And young bulls with strong ones; Thus their land will be soaked with blood, And their dust become greasy with fat. Isa 34:7 καὶ συμπεσοῦνται οἱ ἁδροὶ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ κριοὶ καὶ οἱ ταῦροι καὶ μεθυσθήσεται ἡ γῆ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ στέατος αὐτῶν ἐμπλησθήσεται
Isa 34:8 For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. Isa 34:8 For the Lord has a day of vengeance, A year of recompense for the cause of Zion. Isa 34:8 ἡμέρα γὰρ κρίσεως κυρίου καὶ ἐνιαυτὸς ἀνταποδόσεως κρίσεως Σιων
Isa 34:9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. Isa 34:10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. Isa 34:10 It will not be quenched night or day; Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation it will be desolate; None will pass through it forever and ever. Isa 34:10 νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας καὶ οὐ σβεσθήσεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα χρόνον καὶ ἀναβήσεται ὁ καπνὸς αὐτῆς ἄνω εἰς γενεὰς ἐρημωθήσεται καὶ εἰς χρόνον πολύν
Isa 34:11 But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. Isa 34:11 But pelican and hedgehog will possess it, And owl and raven will dwell in it; And He will stretch over it the line of desolation And the plumb line of emptiness. Isa 34:11 καὶ κατοικήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ ὄρνεα καὶ ἐχῖνοι καὶ ἴβεις καὶ κόρακες καὶ ἐπιβληθήσεται ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν σπαρτίον γεωμετρίας ἐρήμου καὶ ὀνοκένταυροι οἰκήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ
Isa 34:12 They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. Isa 34:12 Its nobles"there is no one there Whom they may proclaim king" And all its princes will be nothing. Isa 34:12 οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῆς οὐκ ἔσονται οἱ γὰρ βασιλεῖς αὐτῆς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῆς καὶ οἱ μεγιστᾶνες αὐτῆς ἔσονται εἰς ἀπώλειαν
Isa 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. Isa 34:13 Thorns will come up in its fortified towers, Nettles and thistles in its fortified cities; It will also be a haunt of jackals And an abode of ostriches. Isa 34:13 καὶ ἀναφύσει εἰς τὰς πόλεις αὐτῶν ἀκάνθινα ξύλα καὶ εἰς τὰ ὀχυρώματα αὐτῆς καὶ ἔσται ἔπαυλις σειρήνων καὶ αὐλὴ στρουθῶν
Isa 34:14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. Isa 34:14 The desert creatures will meet with the wolves, The hairy goat also will cry to its kind; Yes, the night monster will settle there And will find herself a resting place. Isa 34:14 καὶ συναντήσουσιν δαιμόνια ὀνοκενταύροις καὶ βοήσουσιν ἕτερος πρὸς τὸν ἕτερον ἐκεῖ ἀναπαύσονται ὀνοκένταυροι εὗρον γὰρ αὑτοῖς ἀνάπαυσιν
Isa 34:15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate. Isa 34:15 The tree snake will make its nest and lay eggs there, And it will hatch and gather them under its protection. Yes, the hawks will be gathered there, Every one with its kind. Isa 34:15 ἐκεῖ ἐνόσσευσεν ἐχῖνος καὶ ἔσωσεν ἡ γῆ τὰ παιδία αὐτῆς μετὰ ἀσφαλείας ἐκεῖ ἔλαφοι συνήντησαν καὶ εἶδον τὰ πρόσωπα ἀλλήλων
Isa 34 16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. Isa 34:16 Seek from the book of the Lord, and read: Not one of these will be missing; None will lack its mate. For His mouth has commanded, And His Spirit has gathered them. Isa 34:16 ἀριθμῷ παρῆλθον καὶ μία αὐτῶν οὐκ ἀπώλετο ἑτέρα τὴν ἑτέραν οὐκ ἐζήτησαν ὅτι κύριος ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ συνήγαγεν αὐτάς
Isa 34:17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein. Isa 34:17 He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it to them by line. They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they will dwell in it. Isa 34:17 καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπιβαλεῖ αὐτοῖς κλήρους καὶ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ διεμέρισεν βόσκεσθαι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα χρόνον κληρονομήσετε εἰς γενεὰς γενεῶν ἀναπαύσονται ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς
