Luk 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? Luk 13:2 And Jesus said to them," Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate? Luk 13:2 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, δοκεῖτε ὅτι οἱ γαλιλαῖοι οὖτοι ἁμαρτωλοὶ παρὰ πάντας τοὺς γαλιλαίους ἐγένοντο, ὅτι ταῦτα πεπόνθασιν;
Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luk 13:3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? Luk 13:4 Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? Luk 13:4 ἢ ἐκεῖνοι οἱ δεκαοκτὼ ἐφ᾽ οὓς ἔπεσεν ὁ πύργος ἐν τῶ σιλωὰμ καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτούς, δοκεῖτε ὅτι αὐτοὶ ὀφειλέται ἐγένοντο παρὰ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἰερουσαλήμ;

Luk 13:6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Luk 13:6 And He began telling this parable." A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any.
Luk 13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? Luk 13:7 And he said to the vineyard-keeper, 'Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground? ' Luk 13:7 εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τὸν ἀμπελουργόν, ἰδοὺ τρία ἔτη ἀφ᾽ οὖ ἔρχομαι ζητῶν καρπὸν ἐν τῇ συκῇ ταύτῃ καὶ οὐχ εὑρίσκω. ἔκκοψον [οὗν] αὐτήν· ἱνατί καὶ τὴν γῆν καταργεῖ;
Luk 13:8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: Luk 13:8 And he answered and said to him, 'Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer; Luk 13:8 ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς λέγει αὐτῶ, κύριε, ἄφες αὐτὴν καὶ τοῦτο τὸ ἔτος, ἕως ὅτου σκάψω περὶ αὐτὴν καὶ βάλω κόπρια·
Luk 13:9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. Luk 13:9 and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.

Luk 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. Luk 13:12 When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her," Woman, you are freed from your sickness."
Luk 13:15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? Luk 13:15 But the Lord answered him and said," You hypocrites, does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to water him?
Luk 14:24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper. Luk 14:24 For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.

Luk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Luk 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
Luk 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luk 14:27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
Luk 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Luk 14:28 For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? Luk 14:28 τίς γὰρ ἐξ ὑμῶν θέλων πύργον οἰκοδομῆσαι οὐχὶ πρῶτον καθίσας ψηφίζει τὴν δαπάνην, εἰ ἔχει εἰς ἀπαρτισμόν;
Luk 14:29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Luk 14:29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, Luk 14:29 ἵνα μήποτε θέντος αὐτοῦ θεμέλιον καὶ μὴ ἰσχύοντος ἐκτελέσαι πάντες οἱ θεωροῦντες ἄρξωνται αὐτῶ ἐμπαίζειν
Luk 14:30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Luk 14:30 saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.
Luk 14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Luk 14:31 Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand? Luk 14:31 ἢ τίς βασιλεὺς πορευόμενος ἑτέρῳ βασιλεῖ συμβαλεῖν εἰς πόλεμον οὐχὶ καθίσας πρῶτον βουλεύσεται εἰ δυνατός ἐστιν ἐν δέκα χιλιάσιν ὑπαντῆσαι τῶ μετὰ εἴκοσι χιλιάδων ἐρχομένῳ ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν;
Luk 14:32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. Luk 14:32 Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.
Luk 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. Luk 14:33 So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.
Luk 14:34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? Luk 14:34 "Therefore, salt is good; but if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned? Luk 14:34 καλὸν οὗν τὸ ἅλας· ἐὰν δὲ καὶ τὸ ἅλας μωρανθῇ, ἐν τίνι ἀρτυθήσεται;
Luk 14:35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Luk 14:35 It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile; it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
Luk 15:1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. Luk 15:1 Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him.
Luk 15:2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. Luk 15:2 Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying," This man receives sinners and eats with them."
Luk 15:3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying, Luk 15:3 So He told them this parable, saying, Luk 15:3 εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτοὺς τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην λέγων,
Luk 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? Luk 15:4 "What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? Luk 15:4 τίς ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ὑμῶν ἔχων ἑκατὸν πρόβατα καὶ ἀπολέσας ἐξ αὐτῶν ἓν οὐ καταλείπει τὰ ἐνενήκοντα ἐννέα ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ πορεύεται ἐπὶ τὸ ἀπολωλὸς ἕως εὕρῃ αὐτό;
Luk 15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Luk 15:5 When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Luk 15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. Luk 15:6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!
Luk 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luk 15:7 I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
Luk 15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? Luk 15:8 "Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? Luk 15:8 ἢ τίς γυνὴ δραχμὰς ἔχουσα δέκα, ἐὰν ἀπολέσῃ δραχμὴν μίαν, οὐχὶ ἅπτει λύχνον καὶ σαροῖ τὴν οἰκίαν καὶ ζητεῖ ἐπιμελῶς ἕως οὖ εὕρῃ;
Luk 15:9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. Luk 15:9 When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!
Luk 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Luk 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
Luk 15:11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: Luk 15:11 And He said," A man had two sons.
Luk 15:12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. Luk 15:12 The younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me. 'So he divided his wealth between them.
Luk 15:13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. Luk 15:13 And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living.
Luk 15:14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. Luk 15:14 Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished.
Luk 15:15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. Luk 15:15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
Luk 15:16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. Luk 15:16 And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him.
Luk 15:17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! Luk 15:17 But when he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger!
Luk 15:18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, Luk 15:18 I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him," Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; Luk 15:18 ἀναστὰς πορεύσομαι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ ἐρῶ αὐτῶ, πάτερ, ἥμαρτον εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἐνώπιόν σου,
Luk 15:19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. Luk 15:19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men."'
Luk 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. Luk 15:20 So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.
Luk 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. Luk 15:21 And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
Luk 15:22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: Luk 15:22 But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; Luk 15:22 εἶπεν δὲ ὁ πατὴρ πρὸς τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ, ταχὺ ἐξενέγκατε στολὴν τὴν πρώτην καὶ ἐνδύσατε αὐτόν, καὶ δότε δακτύλιον εἰς τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ καὶ ὑποδήματα εἰς τοὺς πόδας,
Luk 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: Luk 15:23 and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; Luk 15:23 καὶ φέρετε τὸν μόσχον τὸν σιτευτόν, θύσατε καὶ φαγόντες εὐφρανθῶμεν,
Luk 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
Luk 15:25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. Luk 15:25 "Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing.
Luk 15:26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. Luk 15:26 And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be.
Luk 15:27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. Luk 15:27 And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.
Luk 15:28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. Luk 15:28 But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him.
Luk 15 29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends Luk 15:29 But he answered and said to his father, 'Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; Luk 15:29 ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν τῶ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ, ἰδοὺ τοσαῦτα ἔτη δουλεύω σοι καὶ οὐδέποτε ἐντολήν σου παρῆλθον, καὶ ἐμοὶ οὐδέποτε ἔδωκας ἔριφον ἵνα μετὰ τῶν φίλων μου εὐφρανθῶ·
Luk 15:30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. Luk 15:30 but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.
Luk 15:31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. Luk 15:31 And he said to him, 'Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.
Luk 15:32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. Luk 15:32 But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.
