Pro 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; Pro 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction, To discern the sayings of understanding, Pro 1:2 γνῶναι σοφίαν καὶ παιδείαν νοῆσαί τε λόγους φρονήσεως
Pro 1:3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; Pro 1:3 To receive instruction in wise behavior, Righteousness, justice and equity; Pro 1:3 δέξασθαί τε στροφὰς λόγων νοῆσαί τε δικαιοσύνην ἀληθῆ καὶ κρίμα κατευθύνειν

Pro 1:15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: Pro 1:15 My son, do not walk in the way with them. Keep your feet from their path, Pro 1:15 μὴ πορευθῇς ἐν ὁδῷ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἔκκλινον δὲ τὸν πόδα σου ἐκ τῶν τρίβων αὐτῶν

Pro 1:19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof. Pro 1:19 So are the ways of everyone who gains by violence; It takes away the life of its possessors. Pro 1:20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: Pro 1:20 Wisdom shouts in the street, She lifts her voice in the square; Pro 1:20 σοφία ἐν ἐξόδοις ὑμνεῖται ἐν δὲ πλατείαις παρρησίαν ἄγει
Pro 1:21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, Pro 1:21 At the head of the noisy streets she cries out; At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings: Pro 1:21 ἐπ᾽ ἄκρων δὲ τειχέων κηρύσσεται ἐπὶ δὲ πύλαις δυναστῶν παρεδρεύει ἐπὶ δὲ πύλαις πόλεως θαρροῦσα λέγει
Pro 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Pro 1:22 "How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge? Pro 1:22 ὅσον ἂν χρόνον ἄκακοι ἔχωνται τῆς δικαιοσύνης οὐκ αἰσχυνθήσονται οἱ δὲ ἄφρονες τῆς ὕβρεως ὄντες ἐπιθυμηταί ἀσεβεῖς γενόμενοι ἐμίσησαν αἴσθησιν
Pro 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Pro 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: Pro 1:25 And you neglected all my counsel And did not want my reproof; Pro 1:25 ἀλλὰ ἀκύρους ἐποιεῖτε ἐμὰς βουλάς τοῖς δὲ ἐμοῖς ἐλέγχοις ἠπειθήσατε

Pro 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Pro 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: Pro 1:28 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently but they will not find me, Pro 1:28 ἔσται γὰρ ὅταν ἐπικαλέσησθέ με ἐγὼ δὲ οὐκ εἰσακούσομαι ὑμῶν ζητήσουσίν με κακοὶ καὶ οὐχ εὑρήσουσιν

Pro 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. Pro 1:31 "So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way And be satiated with their own devices. Pro 1:31 τοιγαροῦν ἔδονται τῆς ἑαυτῶν ὁδοῦ τοὺς καρποὺς καὶ τῆς ἑαυτῶν ἀσεβείας πλησθήσονται
Pro 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. Pro 1:32 "For the waywardness of the naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them. Pro 1:32 ἀνθ᾽ ὧν γὰρ ἠδίκουν νηπίους φονευθήσονται καὶ ἐξετασμὸς ἀσεβεῖς ὀλεῖ
Pro 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. Pro 1:33 "But he who listens to me shall live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil." Pro 1:33 ὁ δὲ ἐμοῦ ἀκούων κατασκηνώσει ἐπ᾽ ἐλπίδι καὶ ἡσυχάσει ἀφόβως ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ
Pro 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; Pro 2:1 My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you, Pro 2:1 υἱέ ἐὰν δεξάμενος ῥῆσιν ἐμῆς ἐντολῆς κρύψῃς παρὰ σεαυτῷ
Pro 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Pro 2:2 Make your ear attentive to wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding; Pro 2:2 ὑπακούσεται σοφίας τὸ οὖς σου καὶ παραβαλεῖς καρδίαν σου εἰς σύνεσιν παραβαλεῖς δὲ αὐτὴν ἐπὶ νουθέτησιν τῷ υἱῷ σου
Pro 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; Pro 2:3 For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding; Pro 2:3 ἐὰν γὰρ τὴν σοφίαν ἐπικαλέσῃ καὶ τῇ συνέσει δῷς φωνήν σου τὴν δὲ αἴσθησιν ζητήσῃς μεγάλῃ τῇ φωνῇ
Pro 2:4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Pro 2:4 If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; Pro 2:4 καὶ ἐὰν ζητήσῃς αὐτὴν ὡς ἀργύριον καὶ ὡς θησαυροὺς ἐξερευνήσῃς αὐτήν
Pro 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. Pro 2:5 Then you will discern the fear of the Lord And discover the knowledge of God. Pro 2:5 τότε συνήσεις φόβον κυρίου καὶ ἐπίγνωσιν θεοῦ εὑρήσεις
Pro 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Pro 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Pro 2:6 ὅτι κύριος δίδωσιν σοφίαν καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ γνῶσις καὶ σύνεσις
Pro 2:7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. Pro 2:7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, Pro 2:7 καὶ θησαυρίζει τοῖς κατορθοῦσι σωτηρίαν ὑπερασπιεῖ τὴν πορείαν αὐτῶν
Pro 2:8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Pro 2:8 Guarding the paths of justice, And He preserves the way of His godly ones. Pro 2:8 τοῦ φυλάξαι ὁδοὺς δικαιωμάτων καὶ ὁδὸν εὐλαβουμένων αὐτὸν διαφυλάξει
Pro 2:9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. Pro 2:9 Then you will discern righteousness and justice And equity and every good course. Pro 2:9 τότε συνήσεις δικαιοσύνην καὶ κρίμα καὶ κατορθώσεις πάντας ἄξονας ἀγαθούς
Pro 2:10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Pro 2:10 For wisdom will enter your heart And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; Pro 2:10 ἐὰν γὰρ ἔλθῃ ἡ σοφία εἰς σὴν διάνοιαν ἡ δὲ αἴσθησις τῇ σῇ ψυχῇ καλὴ εἶναι δόξῃ
Pro 2:11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: Pro 2:11 Discretion will guard you, Understanding will watch over you, Pro 2:11 βουλὴ καλὴ φυλάξει σε ἔννοια δὲ ὁσία τηρήσει σε
Pro 2:12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; Pro 2:12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things; Pro 2:12 ἵνα ῥύσηταί σε ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ κακῆς καὶ ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς λαλοῦντος μηδὲν πιστόν
Pro 2:13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Pro 2:13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness; Pro 2:13 ὦ οἱ ἐγκαταλείποντες ὁδοὺς εὐθείας τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ὁδοῖς σκότους
Pro 2:14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Pro 2:14 Who delight in doing evil And rejoice in the perversity of evil; Pro 2:14 οἱ εὐφραινόμενοι ἐπὶ κακοῖς καὶ χαίροντες ἐπὶ διαστροφῇ κακῇ
Pro 2:15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: Pro 2:15 Whose paths are crooked, And who are devious in their ways; Pro 2:15 ὧν αἱ τρίβοι σκολιαὶ καὶ καμπύλαι αἱ τροχιαὶ αὐτῶν
Pro 2:16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; Pro 2:16 To deliver you from the strange woman, From the adulteress who flatters with her words; Pro 2:16 τοῦ μακράν σε ποιῆσαι ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ εὐθείας καὶ ἀλλότριον τῆς δικαίας γνώμης
Pro 2:17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. Pro 2:17 That leaves the companion of her youth And forgets the covenant of her God; Pro 2:17 υἱέ μή σε καταλάβῃ κακὴ βουλὴ ἡ ἀπολείπουσα διδασκαλίαν νεότητος καὶ διαθήκην θείαν ἐπιλελησμένη
Pro 2:18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. Pro 2:18 For her house sinks down to death And her tracks lead to the dead; Pro 2:18 ἔθετο γὰρ παρὰ τῷ θανάτῳ τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς καὶ παρὰ τῷ ᾅδῃ μετὰ τῶν γηγενῶν τοὺς ἄξονας αὐτῆς
Pro 2:19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. Pro 2:19 None who go to her return again, Nor do they reach the paths of life. Pro 2:19 πάντες οἱ πορευόμενοι ἐν αὐτῇ οὐκ ἀναστρέψουσιν οὐδὲ μὴ καταλάβωσιν τρίβους εὐθείας οὐ γὰρ καταλαμβάνονται ὑπὸ ἐνιαυτῶν ζωῆς
Pro 2:20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. Pro 2:20 So you will walk in the way of good men And keep to the paths of the righteous. Pro 2:20 εἰ γὰρ ἐπορεύοντο τρίβους ἀγαθάς εὕροσαν ἂν τρίβους δικαιοσύνης λείους
Pro 2:21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. Pro 2:21 For the upright will live in the land And the blameless will remain in it; Pro 2:21 χρηστοὶ ἔσονται οἰκήτορες γῆς ἄκακοι δὲ ὑπολειφθήσονται ἐν αὐτῇ ὅτι εὐθεῖς κατασκηνώσουσι γῆν καὶ ὅσιοι ὑπολειφθήσονται ἐν αὐτῇ
Pro 2:22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. Pro 2:22 But the wicked will be cut off from the land And the treacherous will be uprooted from it. Pro 2:22 ὁδοὶ ἀσεβῶν ἐκ γῆς ὀλοῦνται οἱ δὲ παράνομοι ἐξωσθήσονται ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς
Pro 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: Pro 3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; Pro 3:1 υἱέ ἐμῶν νομίμων μὴ ἐπιλανθάνου τὰ δὲ ῥήματά μου τηρείτω σὴ καρδία
Pro 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Pro 3:2 For length of days and years of life And peace they will add to you. Pro 3:2 μῆκος γὰρ βίου καὶ ἔτη ζωῆς καὶ εἰρήνην προσθήσουσίν σοι
Pro 3 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart Pro 3:3 Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. Pro 3:3 ἐλεημοσύναι καὶ πίστεις μὴ ἐκλιπέτωσάν σε ἄφαψαι δὲ αὐτὰς ἐπὶ σῷ τραχήλῳ καὶ εὑρήσεις χάριν
Pro 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Pro 3:4 So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man. Pro 3:4 καὶ προνοοῦ καλὰ ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἀνθρώπων
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Pro 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. Pro 3:5 ἴσθι πεποιθὼς ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ ἐπὶ θεῷ ἐπὶ δὲ σῇ σοφίᾳ μὴ ἐπαίρου
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Pro 3:6 ἐν πάσαις ὁδοῖς σου γνώριζε αὐτήν ἵνα ὀρθοτομῇ τὰς ὁδούς σου ὁ δὲ πούς σου οὐ μὴ προσκόπτῃ
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Pro 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Pro 3:7 μὴ ἴσθι φρόνιμος παρὰ σεαυτῷ φοβοῦ δὲ τὸν θεὸν καὶ ἔκκλινε ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ
Pro 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. Pro 3:8 τότε ἴασις ἔσται τῷ σώματί σου καὶ ἐπιμέλεια τοῖς ὀστέοις σου
Pro 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Pro 3:9 Honor the Lord from your wealth And from the first of all your produce; Pro 3:9 τίμα τὸν κύριον ἀπὸ σῶν δικαίων πόνων καὶ ἀπάρχου αὐτῷ ἀπὸ σῶν καρπῶν δικαιοσύνης
Pro 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. Pro 3:10 So your barns will be filled with plenty And your vats will overflow with new wine. Pro 3:10 ἵνα πίμπληται τὰ ταμίειά σου πλησμονῆς σίτου οἴνῳ δὲ αἱ ληνοί σου ἐκβλύζωσιν
Pro 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: Pro 3:11 My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord Or loathe His reproof, Pro 3:11 υἱέ μὴ ὀλιγώρει παιδείας κυρίου μηδὲ ἐκλύου ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐλεγχόμενος
