Eze 1:1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Eze 1:2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,

Eze 1:3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

Eze 1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

Eze 1:4 As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire.

Eze 1:5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

Eze 1:5 Within it there were figures resembling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form.

Eze 1:8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

Eze 1:8 Under their wings on their four sides were human hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them,

Eze 1:9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

Eze 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

Eze 1:11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

Eze 1:12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

Eze 1:13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

Eze 1:13 In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire.

Eze 1:14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

Eze 1:22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

Eze 1:22 Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads.

Eze 1:23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

Eze 1:24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

Eze 1:24 I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.

Eze 1:26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

Eze 2:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

Eze 2:3 Then He said to me, "Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day.

Eze 2:4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

Eze 2:4 I am sending you to them who are stubborn and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God.'

Eze 2:4 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος

Eze 2:5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

Eze 2:5 As for them, whether they listen or not--for they are a rebellious house--they will know that a prophet has been among them.

Eze 2:5 ἐὰν ἄρα ἀκούσωσιν ἢ πτοηθῶσιν διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι προφήτης εἶ σὺ ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν

Eze 2:6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Eze 2:6 And you, son of man, neither fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; neither fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, for they are a rebellious house.

Eze 2:7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
|
Eze 2:7 But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.
|
Eze 2:7 καὶ λαλήσεις τοὺς λόγους μου πρὸς αὐτούς ἐὰν ἄρα ἀκούσωσιν ἢ πτοηθῶσιν διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν

Eze 2:8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

Eze 2:8 "Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you."

Eze 2:8 καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἄκουε τοῦ λαλοῦντος πρὸς σέ μὴ γίνου παραπικραίνων καθὼς ὁ οἶκος ὁ παραπικραίνων χάνε τὸ στόμα σου καὶ φάγε ἃ ἐγὼ δίδωμί σοι

Eze 2:9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

Eze 2:9 Then I looked, and behold, a hand was extended to me; and lo, a scroll was in it.
|
Eze 2:9 καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ χεὶρ ἐκτεταμένη πρός με καὶ ἐν αὐτῇ κεφαλὶς βιβλίου

Eze 2:10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Eze 2:10 When He spread it out before me, it was written on the front and back, and written on it were lamentations, mourning and woe.

Eze 3:1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

Eze 3:1 Then He said to me, "Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel."

Eze 3:1 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου κατάφαγε τὴν κεφαλίδα ταύτην καὶ πορεύθητι καὶ λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ

Eze 3:2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

Eze 3:2 καὶ διήνοιξα τὸ στόμα μου καὶ ἐψώμισέν με τὴν κεφαλίδα

Eze 3:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

Eze 3:3 He said to me, "Son of man, feed your stomach and fill your body with this scroll which I am giving you." Then I ate it, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth.

Eze 3:3 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τὸ στόμα σου φάγεται καὶ ἡ κοιλία σου πλησθήσεται τῆς κεφαλίδος ταύτης τῆς δεδομένης εἰς σέ καὶ ἔφαγον αὐτήν καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ στόματί μου ὡς μέλι γλυκάζον

Eze 3:4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

Eze 3:4 Then He said to me, "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.

Eze 3:4 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου βάδιζε εἴσελθε πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ λάλησον τοὺς λόγους μου πρὸς αὐτούς

Eze 3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

Eze 3:5 For you are not being sent to a people of unintelligible speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel,

Eze 3:5 διότι οὐ πρὸς λαὸν βαθύχειλον καὶ βαρύγλωσσον σὺ ἐξαποστέλλῃ πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ

Eze 3:6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

Eze 3:6 nor to many peoples of unintelligible speech or difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. But I have sent you to them who should listen to you;

Eze 3:6 οὐδὲ πρὸς λαοὺς πολλοὺς ἀλλοφώνους ἢ ἀλλογλώσσους οὐδὲ στιβαροὺς τῇ γλώσσῃ ὄντας ὧν οὐκ ἀκούσῃ τοὺς λόγους αὐτῶν καὶ εἰ πρὸς τοιούτους ἐξαπέστειλά σε οὗτοι ἂν εἰσήκουσάν σου

Eze 3:7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

Eze 3:7 yet the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, since they are not willing to listen to Me. Surely the whole house of Israel is stubborn and obstinate.

Eze 3:7 ὁ δὲ οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ οὐ μὴ θελήσωσιν εἰσακοῦσαί σου διότι οὐ βούλονται εἰσακούειν μου ὅτι πᾶς ὁ οἶκος Ισραηλ φιλόνεικοί εἰσιν καὶ σκληροκάρδιοι

Eze 3:8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

Eze 3:8 Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.

Eze 3:8 καὶ ἰδοὺ δέδωκα τὸ πρόσωπόν σου δυνατὸν κατέναντι τῶν προσώπων αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ νεῖκός σου κατισχύσω κατέναντι τοῦ νείκους αὐτῶν

Eze 3:9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
|
Eze 3:9 Like emery harder than flint I have made your forehead. Do not be afraid of them or be dismayed before them, though they are a rebellious house."

Eze 3:9 καὶ ἔσται διὰ παντὸς κραταιότερον πέτρας μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν μηδὲ πτοηθῇς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν

Eze 3:10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

Eze 3:10 Moreover, He said to me, "Son of man, take into your heart all My words which I will speak to you and listen closely.

Eze 3:10 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς λελάληκα μετὰ σοῦ λαβὲ εἰς τὴν καρδίαν σου καὶ τοῖς ὠσίν σου ἄκουε

Eze 3:11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

Eze 3:11 Go to the exiles, to the sons of your people, and speak to them and tell them, whether they listen or not, 'Thus says the Lord God.'"

Eze 3:12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

Eze 3:14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

Eze 3:15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Eze 3:17 "Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me.

Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Eze 3:18 When I say to the wicked, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Eze 3:20 Again, when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
|
Eze 3:21 However, if you have warned the righteous man that the righteous should not sin and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; and you have delivered yourself."

Eze 3:21 σὺ δὲ ἐὰν διαστείλῃ τῷ δικαίῳ τοῦ μὴ ἁμαρτεῖν καὶ αὐτὸς μὴ ἁμάρτῃ ὁ δίκαιος ζωῇ ζήσεται ὅτι διεστείλω αὐτῷ καὶ σὺ τὴν σεαυτοῦ ψυχὴν ῥύσῃ

Eze 3:22 And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

Eze 3:22 The hand of the Lord was on me there, and He said to me, "Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you."

Eze 3 23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar and I fell on my face.

Eze 3:23 So I got up and went out to the plain; and behold, the glory of the Lord was standing there, like the glory which I saw by the river Chebar, and I fell on my face.

Eze 3:24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.
|
Eze 3:24 The Spirit then entered me and made me stand on my feet, and He spoke with me and said to me, "Go, shut yourself up in your house.
|
Eze 3:24 καὶ ἦλθεν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ πνεῦμα καὶ ἔστησέν με ἐπὶ πόδας μου καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρός με καὶ εἶπέν μοι εἴσελθε καὶ ἐγκλείσθητι ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ οἴκου σου

Eze 3:25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

Eze 3:25 As for you, son of man, they will put ropes on you and bind you with them so that you cannot go out among them.
|
Eze 3:25 καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἰδοὺ δέδονται ἐπὶ σὲ δεσμοί καὶ δήσουσίν σε ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐξέλθῃς ἐκ μέσου αὐτῶν

Eze 3:26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.
|
Eze 3:26 Moreover, I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be mute and cannot be a man who rebukes them, for they are a rebellious house.

Eze 3:26 καὶ τὴν γλῶσσάν σου συνδήσω καὶ ἀποκωφωθήσῃ καὶ οὐκ ἔσῃ αὐτοῖς εἰς ἄνδρα ἐλέγχοντα διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν

Eze 3:27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

Eze 3:27 But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you will say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God.' He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

Eze 4:1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:

Eze 4:1 "Now you son of man, get yourself a brick, place it before you and inscribe a city on it, Jerusalem.

Eze 4:2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
|
Eze 4:2 Then lay siege against it, build a siege wall, raise up a ramp, pitch camps and place battering rams against it all around.

Eze 4:2 καὶ δώσεις ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν περιοχὴν καὶ οἰκοδομήσεις ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν προμαχῶνας καὶ περιβαλεῖς ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν χάρακα καὶ δώσεις ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν παρεμβολὰς καὶ τάξεις τὰς βελοστάσεις κύκλῳ

Eze 4:3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
|
Eze 4:3 Then get yourself an iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city, and set your face toward it so that it is under siege, and besiege it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.

Eze 4:3 καὶ σὺ λαβὲ σεαυτῷ τήγανον σιδηροῦν καὶ θήσεις αὐτὸ τοῖχον σιδηροῦν ἀνὰ μέσον σοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἑτοιμάσεις τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν καὶ ἔσται ἐν συγκλεισμῷ καὶ συγκλείσεις αὐτήν σημεῖόν ἐστιν τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ

Eze 4:4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
|
Eze 4:4 "As for you, lie down on your left side and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; you shall bear their iniquity for the number of days that you lie on it.
|
Eze 4:4 καὶ σὺ κοιμηθήσῃ ἐπὶ τὸ πλευρόν σου τὸ ἀριστερὸν καὶ θήσεις τὰς ἀδικίας τοῦ οἴκου Ισραηλ ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῦ κατὰ ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἡμερῶν πεντήκοντα καὶ ἑκατόν ἃς κοιμηθήσῃ ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ λήμψῃ τὰς ἀδικίας αὐτῶν

Eze 4:5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
|
Eze 4:5 For I have assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years of their iniquity, three hundred and ninety days; thus you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

Eze 4:5 καὶ ἐγὼ δέδωκά σοι τὰς δύο ἀδικίας αὐτῶν εἰς ἀριθμὸν ἡμερῶν ἐνενήκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ἡμέρας καὶ λήμψῃ τὰς ἀδικίας τοῦ οἴκου Ισραηλ

Eze 4:6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
|
Eze 4:6 When you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah; I have assigned it to you for forty days, a day for each year.
|
Eze 4:6 καὶ συντελέσεις ταῦτα πάντα καὶ κοιμηθήσῃ ἐπὶ τὸ πλευρόν σου τὸ δεξιὸν καὶ λήμψῃ τὰς ἀδικίας τοῦ οἴκου Ιουδα τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας ἡμέραν εἰς ἐνιαυτὸν τέθεικά σοι

Eze 4:7 Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
|
Eze 4:7 Then you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem with your arm bared and prophesy against it.
|
Eze 4:7 καὶ εἰς τὸν συγκλεισμὸν Ιερουσαλημ ἑτοιμάσεις τὸ πρόσωπόν σου καὶ τὸν βραχίονά σου στερεώσεις καὶ προφητεύσεις ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν

Eze 4:8 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
|
Eze 4:8 Now behold, I will put ropes on you so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed the days of your siege.
|
Eze 4:8 καὶ ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ δέδωκα ἐπὶ σὲ δεσμούς καὶ μὴ στραφῇς ἀπὸ τοῦ πλευροῦ σου ἐπὶ τὸ πλευρόν σου ἕως οὗ συντελεσθῶσιν αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ συγκλεισμοῦ σου

Eze 4:9 Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

Eze 4:9 "But as for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt, put them in one vessel and make them into bread for yourself; you shall eat it according to the number of the days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days.

Eze 4:9 καὶ σὺ λαβὲ σεαυτῷ πυροὺς καὶ κριθὰς καὶ κύαμον καὶ φακὸν καὶ κέγχρον καὶ ὄλυραν καὶ ἐμβαλεῖς αὐτὰ εἰς ἄγγος ἓν ὀστράκινον καὶ ποιήσεις αὐτὰ σαυτῷ εἰς ἄρτους καὶ κατ᾽ ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἡμερῶν ἃς σὺ καθεύδεις ἐπὶ τοῦ πλευροῦ σου ἐνενήκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ἡμέρας φάγεσαι αὐτά

Eze 4:10 And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
|
Eze 4:10 Your food which you eat shall be twenty shekels a day by weight; you shall eat it from time to time.

Eze 4:11 Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
|
Eze 4:11 The water you drink shall be the sixth part of a hin by measure; you shall drink it from time to time.
|
Eze 4:11 καὶ ὕδωρ ἐν μέτρῳ πίεσαι τὸ ἕκτον τοῦ ιν ἀπὸ καιροῦ ἕως καιροῦ πίεσαι
|
Eze 4:12 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
|
Eze 4:12 You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human dung."

Eze 4:12 καὶ ἐγκρυφίαν κρίθινον φάγεσαι αὐτά ἐν βολβίτοις κόπρου ἀνθρωπίνης ἐγκρύψεις αὐτὰ κατ᾽ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν

Eze 4:13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
|
Eze 4:13 Then the Lord said, "Thus will the sons of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations where I will banish them."
|
Eze 4:13 καὶ ἐρεῖς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Ισραηλ οὕτως φάγονται οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀκάθαρτα ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν

Eze 4:14 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
|
Eze 4:14 But I said, "Ah, Lord God! Behold, I have never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth."

Eze 4:14 καὶ εἶπα μηδαμῶς κύριε θεὲ τοῦ Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἡ ψυχή μου οὐ μεμίανται ἐν ἀκαθαρσίᾳ καὶ θνησιμαῖον καὶ θηριάλωτον οὐ βέβρωκα ἀπὸ γενέσεώς μου ἕως τοῦ νῦν οὐδὲ εἰσελήλυθεν εἰς τὸ στόμα μου πᾶν κρέας ἕωλον

Eze 4:15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.

Eze 4 16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment

Eze 4:16 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ συντρίβω στήριγμα ἄρτου ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ φάγονται ἄρτον ἐν σταθμῷ καὶ ἐν ἐνδείᾳ καὶ ὕδωρ ἐν μέτρῳ καὶ ἐν ἀφανισμῷ πίονται

Eze 4:17 That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
