1Co 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 1 Co 14:1 Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
1Co 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1 Co 14:2 For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.
1Co 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 1 Co 14:3 But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation.
1Co 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 1 Co 14:4 One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church.
1Co 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. 1 Co 14:5 Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying.
1Co 14:6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? 1 Co 14:6 But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking in tongues, what will I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation or of knowledge or of prophecy or of teaching? Co1 14:6 νῦν δέ, ἀδελφοί, ἐὰν ἔλθω πρὸς ὑμᾶς γλώσσαις λαλῶν, τί ὑμᾶς ὠφελήσω, ἐὰν μὴ ὑμῖν λαλήσω ἢ ἐν ἀποκαλύψει ἢ ἐν γνώσει ἢ ἐν προφητείᾳ ἢ [ἐν] διδαχῇ;
1Co 14:7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? 1 Co 14:7 Yet even lifeless things, either flute or harp, in producing a sound, if they do not produce a distinction in the tones, how will it be known what is played on the flute or on the harp? Co1 14:7 ὅμως τὰ ἄψυχα φωνὴν διδόντα, εἴτε αὐλὸς εἴτε κιθάρα, ἐὰν διαστολὴν τοῖς φθόγγοις μὴ δῶ, πῶς γνωσθήσεται τὸ αὐλούμενον ἢ τὸ κιθαριζόμενον;
1Co 14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? 1 Co 14:8 For if the bugle produces an indistinct sound, who will prepare himself for battle? Co1 14:8 καὶ γὰρ ἐὰν ἄδηλον σάλπιγξ φωνὴν δῶ, τίς παρασκευάσεται εἰς πόλεμον;
1Co 14:9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. 1 Co 14:9 So also you, unless you utter by the tongue speech that is clear, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air.
1Co 14:10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 1 Co 14:10 There are, perhaps, a great many kinds of languages in the world, and no kind is without meaning.
1Co 14:11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. 1 Co 14:11 If then I do not know the meaning of the language, I will be to the one who speaks a barbarian, and the one who speaks will be a barbarian to me.
1Co 14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. 1 Co 14:12 So also you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound for the edification of the church.
1Co 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 1 Co 14:13 Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
1Co 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 1 Co 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
1Co 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Co 14:15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.
1Co 14:16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? 1 Co 14:16 Otherwise if you bless in the spirit only, how will the one who fills the place of the ungifted say the "Amen" at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you are saying? Co1 14:16 ἐπεὶ ἐὰν εὐλογῇς [ἐν] πνεύματι, ὁ ἀναπληρῶν τὸν τόπον τοῦ ἰδιώτου πῶς ἐρεῖ τὸ ἀμήν ἐπὶ τῇ σῇ εὐχαριστίᾳ, ἐπειδὴ τί λέγεις οὐκ οἶδεν;
1Co 14:17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. 1 Co 14:17 For you are giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not edified.
1Co 14:18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: 1 Co 14:18 I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all; Co1 14:18 εὐχαριστῶ τῶ θεῶ, πάντων ὑμῶν μᾶλλον γλώσσαις λαλῶ·
1Co 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 1 Co 14:19 however, in the church I desire to speak five words with my mind so that I may instruct others also, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue.
1Co 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. 1 Co 14:20 Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; yet in evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.
1Co 14:21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the LORD. 1 Co 14:21 In the Law it is written, "BY MEN OF STRANGE TONGUES AND BY THE LIPS OF STRANGERS I WILL SPEAK TO THIS PEOPLE, AND EVEN SO THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO ME," says the Lord.
1Co 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 1 Co 14:22 So then tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophecy is for a sign, not to unbelievers but to those who believe.
1Co 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? 1 Co 14:23 Therefore if the whole church assembles together and all speak in tongues, and ungifted men or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad? Co1 14:23 ἐὰν οὗν συνέλθῃ ἡ ἐκκλησία ὅλη ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ καὶ πάντες λαλῶσιν γλώσσαις, εἰσέλθωσιν δὲ ἰδιῶται ἢ ἄπιστοι, οὐκ ἐροῦσιν ὅτι μαίνεσθε;
1Co 14:24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 1 Co 14:24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an ungifted man enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all; Co1 14:24 ἐὰν δὲ πάντες προφητεύωσιν, εἰσέλθῃ δέ τις ἄπιστος ἢ ἰδιώτης, ἐλέγχεται ὑπὸ πάντων, ἀνακρίνεται ὑπὸ πάντων,
1Co 14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. 1 Co 14:25 the secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you.
1Co 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 1 Co 14:26 What is the outcome then, brethren? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
1Co 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 1 Co 14:27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and one must interpret; Co1 14:27 εἴτε γλώσσῃ τις λαλεῖ, κατὰ δύο ἢ τὸ πλεῖστον τρεῖς, καὶ ἀνὰ μέρος, καὶ εἷς διερμηνευέτω·
1Co 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 1 Co 14:28 but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God.
1Co 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 1 Co 14:29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others pass judgment.
1Co 14:30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 1 Co 14:30 But if a revelation is made to another who is seated, the first one must keep silent.
1Co 14:31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 1 Co 14:31 For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted; Co1 14:31 δύνασθε γὰρ καθ᾽ ἕνα πάντες προφητεύειν, ἵνα πάντες μανθάνωσιν καὶ πάντες παρακαλῶνται,
1Co 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 1 Co 14:32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; Co1 14:32 καὶ πνεύματα προφητῶν προφήταις ὑποτάσσεται·
1Co 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Co 14:33 for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
1Co 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. 1 Co 14:34 The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says.
1Co 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 1 Co 14:35 If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church.
1Co 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 1 Co 14:36 Was it from you that the word of God first went forth? Or has it come to you only? Co1 14:36 ἢ ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐξῆλθεν, ἢ εἰς ὑμᾶς μόνους κατήντησεν;
1Co 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Co 14:37 If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord's commandment.
1Co 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. 1 Co 14:38 But if anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.
1Co 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 1 Co 14:39 Therefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues.
1Co 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Co 14:40 But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.
1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1 Co 15:1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, Co1 15:1 γνωρίζω δὲ ὑμῖν, ἀδελφοί, τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ὃ εὐηγγελισάμην ὑμῖν, ὃ καὶ παρελάβετε, ἐν ᾧ καὶ ἑστήκατε,
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 1 Co 15:2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Co 15:3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, Co1 15:3 παρέδωκα γὰρ ὑμῖν ἐν πρώτοις, ὃ καὶ παρέλαβον, ὅτι χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν ὑπὲρ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν κατὰ τὰς γραφάς,
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Co 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, Co1 15:4 καὶ ὅτι ἐτάφη, καὶ ὅτι ἐγήγερται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ κατὰ τὰς γραφάς,
1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 1 Co 15:5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 1 Co 15:6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; Co1 15:6 ἔπειτα ὤφθη ἐπάνω πεντακοσίοις ἀδελφοῖς ἐφάπαξ, ἐξ ὧν οἱ πλείονες μένουσιν ἕως ἄρτι, τινὲς δὲ ἐκοιμήθησαν·
1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 1 Co 15:7 then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; Co1 15:7 ἔπειτα ὤφθη ἰακώβῳ, εἶτα τοῖς ἀποστόλοις πᾶσιν·
1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 1 Co 15:8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.
1Co 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 1 Co 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
1Co 15 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1 Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.
1Co 15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. 1 Co 15:11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 1 Co 15:12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? Co1 15:12 εἰ δὲ χριστὸς κηρύσσεται ὅτι ἐκ νεκρῶν ἐγήγερται, πῶς λέγουσιν ἐν ὑμῖν τινες ὅτι ἀνάστασις νεκρῶν οὐκ ἔστιν;
1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 1 Co 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; Co1 15:13 εἰ δὲ ἀνάστασις νεκρῶν οὐκ ἔστιν, οὐδὲ χριστὸς ἐγήγερται·
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 1 Co 15:14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
1Co 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 1 Co 15:15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
1Co 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 1 Co 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; Co1 15:16 εἰ γὰρ νεκροὶ οὐκ ἐγείρονται, οὐδὲ χριστὸς ἐγήγερται·
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 1 Co 15:17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.
1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 1 Co 15:18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
1Co 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 1 Co 15:19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1 Co 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1 Co 15:21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 1 Co 15:23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, Co1 15:23 ἕκαστος δὲ ἐν τῶ ἰδίῳ τάγματι· ἀπαρχὴ χριστός, ἔπειτα οἱ τοῦ χριστοῦ ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ αὐτοῦ·
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1 Co 15:24 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 1 Co 15:25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1 Co 15:26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 1 Co 15:27 For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him.
1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. 1 Co 15:28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.
1Co 15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? 1 Co 15:29 Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them? Co1 15:29 ἐπεὶ τί ποιήσουσιν οἱ βαπτιζόμενοι ὑπὲρ τῶν νεκρῶν; εἰ ὅλως νεκροὶ οὐκ ἐγείρονται, τί καὶ βαπτίζονται ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν;
1Co 15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? 1 Co 15:30 Why are we also in danger every hour? Co1 15:30 τί καὶ ἡμεῖς κινδυνεύομεν πᾶσαν ὥραν;
1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our LORD, I die daily. 1 Co 15:31 I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
1Co 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. 1 Co 15:32 If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.
1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Co 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals."
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 1 Co 15:34 Become sober-minded as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
1Co 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 1 Co 15:35 But someone will say, "How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?" Co1 15:35 ἀλλὰ ἐρεῖ τις, πῶς ἐγείρονται οἱ νεκροί; ποίῳ δὲ σώματι ἔρχονται;
1Co 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 1 Co 15:36 You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies; Co1 15:36 ἄφρων, σὺ ὃ σπείρεις οὐ ζῳοποιεῖται ἐὰν μὴ ἀποθάνῃ·
1Co 15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 1 Co 15:37 and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.
1Co 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 1 Co 15:38 But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.
1Co 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 1 Co 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish.
1Co 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 1 Co 15:40 There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another.
1Co 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 1 Co 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.
1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 1 Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; Co1 15:42 οὕτως καὶ ἡ ἀνάστασις τῶν νεκρῶν.
1Co 15 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power 1 Co 15:43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; Co1 15:43 σπείρεται ἐν ἀτιμίᾳ, ἐγείρεται ἐν δόξῃ· σπείρεται ἐν ἀσθενείᾳ, ἐγείρεται ἐν δυνάμει·
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1 Co 15:44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Co 15:45 So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 1 Co 15:46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1 Co 15:47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.
1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 1 Co 15:48 As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.
1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Co 15:49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 1 Co 15:50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1 Co 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, Co1 15:51 ἰδοὺ μυστήριον ὑμῖν λέγω· πάντες οὐ κοιμηθησόμεθα, πάντες δὲ ἀλλαγησόμεθα,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1 Co 15:53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Co 15:54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Co 15:55 O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?" Co1 15:55 ποῦ σου, θάνατε, τὸ νῖκος; ποῦ σου, θάνατε, τὸ κέντρον;
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 1 Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; Co1 15:56 τὸ δὲ κέντρον τοῦ θανάτου ἡ ἁμαρτία, ἡ δὲ δύναμις τῆς ἁμαρτίας ὁ νόμος·
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Co 15:57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
1Co 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 1 Co 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also.
1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 1 Co 16:2 On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.
1Co 16:3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. 1 Co 16:3 When I arrive, whomever you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem; Co1 16:3 ὅταν δὲ παραγένωμαι, οὓς ἐὰν δοκιμάσητε, δι᾽ ἐπιστολῶν τούτους πέμψω ἀπενεγκεῖν τὴν χάριν ὑμῶν εἰς ἰερουσαλήμ·
1Co 16:4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me. 1 Co 16:4 and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me.
1Co 16:5 Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia. 1 Co 16:5 But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia, for I am going through Macedonia; Co1 16:5 ἐλεύσομαι δὲ πρὸς ὑμᾶς ὅταν μακεδονίαν διέλθω, μακεδονίαν γὰρ διέρχομαι·
1Co 16:6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. 1 Co 16:6 and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.
1Co 16:7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. 1 Co 16:7 For I do not wish to see you now just in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits.
1Co 16:8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. 1 Co 16:8 But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost; Co1 16:8 ἐπιμενῶ δὲ ἐν ἐφέσῳ ἕως τῆς πεντηκοστῆς·
1Co 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. 1 Co 16:9 for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
1Co 16:10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. 1 Co 16:10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without cause to be afraid, for he is doing the Lord's work, as I also am.
1Co 16 11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me for I look for him with the brethren. 1 Co 16:11 So let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.
1Co 16:12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time. 1 Co 16:12 But concerning Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has opportunity.
1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 1 Co 16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
1Co 16:14 Let all your things be done with charity. 1 Co 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love.
1Co 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) 1 Co 16:15 Now I urge you, brethren (you know the household of Stephanas, that they were the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves for ministry to the saints), Co1 16:15 παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί· οἴδατε τὴν οἰκίαν στεφανᾶ, ὅτι ἐστὶν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς ἀχαΐας καὶ εἰς διακονίαν τοῖς ἁγίοις ἔταξαν ἑαυτούς·
1Co 16:16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth. 1 Co 16:16 that you also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.
1Co 16:17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. 1 Co 16:17 I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.
1Co 16:18 For they have refreshed my spirit and your's: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such. 1 Co 16:18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.
1Co 16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 1 Co 16:19 The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
1Co 16:20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss. 1 Co 16:20 All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
1Co 16:21 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. 1 Co 16:21 The greeting is in my own hand--Paul.
1Co 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. 1 Co 16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed. Maranatha.
1Co 16:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 1 Co 16:23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
1Co 16:24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. 1 Co 16:24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
