Psalm 66
Psa 66:1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Psa 66:1 Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; Psa 66:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος ᾠδὴ ψαλμοῦ ἀναστάσεως ἀλαλάξατε τῷ θεῷ πᾶσα ἡ γῆ
Psa 66:2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. Psa 66:2 Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious. Psa 66:2 ψάλατε δὴ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ δότε δόξαν αἰνέσει αὐτοῦ
Psa 66:3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. Psa 66:3 Say to God, "How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You. Psa 66:3 εἴπατε τῷ θεῷ ὡς φοβερὰ τὰ ἔργα σου ἐν τῷ πλήθει τῆς δυνάμεώς σου ψεύσονταί σε οἱ ἐχθροί σου
Psa 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. Psa 66:4 "All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name." Selah. Psa 66:4 πᾶσα ἡ γῆ προσκυνησάτωσάν σοι καὶ ψαλάτωσάν σοι ψαλάτωσαν τῷ ὀνόματί σου διάψαλμα
Psa 66:5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. Psa 66:5 Come and see the works of God, Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men. Psa 66:5 δεῦτε καὶ ἴδετε τὰ ἔργα τοῦ θεοῦ φοβερὸς ἐν βουλαῖς ὑπὲρ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων
Psa 66 6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot there did we rejoice in him. Psa 66:6 He turned the sea into dry land; They passed through the river on foot; There let us rejoice in Him! Psa 66:6 ὁ μεταστρέφων τὴν θάλασσαν εἰς ξηράν ἐν ποταμῷ διελεύσονται ποδί ἐκεῖ εὐφρανθησόμεθα ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ
Psa 66:7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah. Psa 66:7 He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah. Psa 66:7 τῷ δεσπόζοντι ἐν τῇ δυναστείᾳ αὐτοῦ τοῦ αἰῶνος οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἐπιβλέπουσιν οἱ παραπικραίνοντες μὴ ὑψούσθωσαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς διάψαλμα
Psa 66:8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: Psa 66:8 Bless our God, O peoples, And sound His praise abroad, Psa 66:8 εὐλογεῖτε ἔθνη τὸν θεὸν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀκουτίσασθε τὴν φωνὴν τῆς αἰνέσεως αὐτοῦ
Psa 66:9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. Psa 66:9 Who keeps us in life And does not allow our feet to slip. Psa 66:9 τοῦ θεμένου τὴν ψυχήν μου εἰς ζωὴν καὶ μὴ δόντος εἰς σάλον τοὺς πόδας μου
Psa 66:10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Psa 66:10 For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. Psa 66:10 ὅτι ἐδοκίμασας ἡμᾶς ὁ θεός ἐπύρωσας ἡμᾶς ὡς πυροῦται τὸ ἀργύριον
Psa 66:11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. Psa 66:11 You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins. Psa 66:11 εἰσήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς τὴν παγίδα ἔθου θλίψεις ἐπὶ τὸν νῶτον ἡμῶν
Psa 66:12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. Psa 66:12 You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance. Psa 66:12 ἐπεβίβασας ἀνθρώπους ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς ἡμῶν διήλθομεν διὰ πυρὸς καὶ ὕδατος καὶ ἐξήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς ἀναψυχήν
Psa 66:13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, Psa 66:13 I shall come into Your house with burnt offerings; I shall pay You my vows, Psa 66:13 εἰσελεύσομαι εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου ἐν ὁλοκαυτώμασιν ἀποδώσω σοι τὰς εὐχάς μου
Psa 66:14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. Psa 66:14 Which my lips uttered And my mouth spoke when I was in distress. Psa 66:14 ἃς διέστειλεν τὰ χείλη μου καὶ ἐλάλησεν τὸ στόμα μου ἐν τῇ θλίψει μου
Psa 66:15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. Psa 66:15 I shall offer to You burnt offerings of fat beasts, With the smoke of rams; I shall make an offering of bulls with male goats. Selah. Psa 66:15 ὁλοκαυτώματα μεμυαλωμένα ἀνοίσω σοι μετὰ θυμιάματος καὶ κριῶν ποιήσω σοι βόας μετὰ χιμάρων διάψαλμα
Psa 66:16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. Psa 66:16 Come and hear, all who fear God, And I will tell of what He has done for my soul. Psa 66:16 δεῦτε ἀκούσατε καὶ διηγήσομαι πάντες οἱ φοβούμενοι τὸν θεόν ὅσα ἐποίησεν τῇ ψυχῇ μου
Psa 66:17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. Psa 66:17 I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue. Psa 66:17 πρὸς αὐτὸν τῷ στόματί μου ἐκέκραξα καὶ ὕψωσα ὑπὸ τὴν γλῶσσάν μου
Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: Psa 66:18 If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear; Psa 66:18 ἀδικίαν εἰ ἐθεώρουν ἐν καρδίᾳ μου μὴ εἰσακουσάτω κύριος
Psa 66:19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Psa 66:19 But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer. Psa 66:19 διὰ τοῦτο εἰσήκουσέν μου ὁ θεός προσέσχεν τῇ φωνῇ τῆς δεήσεώς μου
Psa 66:20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. Psa 66:20 Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His lovingkindness from me. Psa 66:20 εὐλογητὸς ὁ θεός ὃς οὐκ ἀπέστησεν τὴν προσευχήν μου καὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ
