Psalm 81
Psa 81:1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. Psa 81:1 Sing for joy to God our strength; Shout joyfully to the God of Jacob. Psa 81:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ τῶν ληνῶν τῷ Ασαφ ψαλμός
Psa 81:2 Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. Psa 81:2 Raise a song, strike the timbrel, The sweet sounding lyre with the harp. Psa 81:2 ἀγαλλιᾶσθε τῷ θεῷ τῷ βοηθῷ ἡμῶν ἀλαλάξατε τῷ θεῷ Ιακωβ
Psa 81:3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. Psa 81:3 Blow the trumpet at the new moon, At the full moon, on our feast day. Psa 81:3 λάβετε ψαλμὸν καὶ δότε τύμπανον ψαλτήριον τερπνὸν μετὰ κιθάρας
Psa 81:4 For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob. Psa 81:4 For it is a statute for Israel, An ordinance of the God of Jacob. Psa 81:4 σαλπίσατε ἐν νεομηνίᾳ σάλπιγγι ἐν εὐσήμῳ ἡμέρᾳ ἑορτῆς ἡμῶν
Psa 81:5 This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not. Psa 81:5 He established it for a testimony in Joseph When he went throughout the land of Egypt. I heard a language that I did not know: Psa 81:5 ὅτι πρόσταγμα τῷ Ισραηλ ἐστὶν καὶ κρίμα τῷ θεῷ Ιακωβ
Psa 81:6 I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots. Psa 81:6 "I relieved his shoulder of the burden, His hands were freed from the basket. Psa 81:6 μαρτύριον ἐν τῷ Ιωσηφ ἔθετο αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ ἐξελθεῖν αὐτὸν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου γλῶσσαν ἣν οὐκ ἔγνω ἤκουσεν
Psa 81:7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. Psa 81:7 "You called in trouble and I rescued you; I answered you in the hiding place of thunder; I proved you at the waters of Meribah. Selah. Psa 81:7 ἀπέστησεν ἀπὸ ἄρσεων τὸν νῶτον αὐτοῦ αἱ χεῖρες αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ κοφίνῳ ἐδούλευσαν
Psa 81:8 Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; Psa 81:8 "Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you; O Israel, if you would listen to Me! Psa 81:8 ἐν θλίψει ἐπεκαλέσω με καὶ ἐρρυσάμην σε ἐπήκουσά σου ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ καταιγίδος ἐδοκίμασά σε ἐπὶ ὕδατος ἀντιλογίας διάψαλμα
Psa 81:9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. Psa 81:9 "Let there be no strange god among you; Nor shall you worship any foreign god. Psa 81:9 ἄκουσον λαός μου καὶ διαμαρτύρομαί σοι Ισραηλ ἐὰν ἀκούσῃς μου
Psa 81:10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. Psa 81:10 "I, the Lord, am your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. Psa 81:10 οὐκ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ θεὸς πρόσφατος οὐδὲ προσκυνήσεις θεῷ ἀλλοτρίῳ
Psa 81:11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. Psa 81:11 "But My people did not listen to My voice, And Israel did not obey Me. Psa 81:11 ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεός σου ὁ ἀναγαγών σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου πλάτυνον τὸ στόμα σου καὶ πληρώσω αὐτό
Psa 81:12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Psa 81:12 "So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, To walk in their own devices. Psa 81:12 καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσεν ὁ λαός μου τῆς φωνῆς μου καὶ Ισραηλ οὐ προσέσχεν μοι
Psa 81:13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! Psa 81:13 "Oh that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! Psa 81:13 καὶ ἐξαπέστειλα αὐτοὺς κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα τῶν καρδιῶν αὐτῶν πορεύσονται ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτῶν
Psa 81:14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. Psa 81:14 "I would quickly subdue their enemies And turn My hand against their adversaries. Psa 81:14 εἰ ὁ λαός μου ἤκουσέν μου Ισραηλ ταῖς ὁδοῖς μου εἰ ἐπορεύθη
Psa 81:15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever. Psa 81:15 "Those who hate the Lord would pretend obedience to Him, And their time of punishment would be forever. Psa 81:15 ἐν τῷ μηδενὶ ἂν τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτῶν ἐταπείνωσα καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς θλίβοντας αὐτοὺς ἐπέβαλον τὴν χεῖρά μου
Psa 81:16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee. Psa 81:16 "But I would feed you with the finest of the wheat, And with honey from the rock I would satisfy you." Psa:81:16:οἱ ἐχθροὶ κυρίου ἐψεύσαντο αὐτῷ καὶ ἔσται ὁ καιρὸς αὐτῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα Psa 80:17 καὶ ἐψώμισεν αὐτοὺς ἐκ στέατος πυροῦ καὶ ἐκ πέτρας μέλι ἐχόρτασεν αὐτούς
