Psalm 88
Psa 88:1 O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: Psa 88:1 O Lord, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You. Psa 88:1 ᾠδὴ ψαλμοῦ τοῖς υἱοῖς Κορε εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ μαελεθ τοῦ ἀποκριθῆναι συνέσεως Αιμαν τῷ Ισραηλίτῃ
Psa 88:2 Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; Psa 88:2 Let my prayer come before You; Incline Your ear to my cry! Psa 88:2 κύριε ὁ θεὸς τῆς σωτηρίας μου ἡμέρας ἐκέκραξα καὶ ἐν νυκτὶ ἐναντίον σου
Psa 88:3 For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. Psa 88:3 For my soul has had enough troubles, And my life has drawn near to Sheol. Psa 88:3 εἰσελθάτω ἐνώπιόν σου ἡ προσευχή μου κλῖνον τὸ οὖς σου εἰς τὴν δέησίν μου κύριε
Psa 88 4 I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength Psa 88:4 I am reckoned among those who go down to the pit; I have become like a man without strength, Psa 88:4 ὅτι ἐπλήσθη κακῶν ἡ ψυχή μου καὶ ἡ ζωή μου τῷ ᾅδῃ ἤγγισεν
Psa 88:5 Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand. Psa 88:5 Forsaken among the dead, Like the slain who lie in the grave, Whom You remember no more, And they are cut off from Your hand. Psa 88:5 προσελογίσθην μετὰ τῶν καταβαινόντων εἰς λάκκον ἐγενήθην ὡς ἄνθρωπος ἀβοήθητος ἐν νεκροῖς ἐλεύθερος
Psa 88:6 Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. Psa 88:6 You have put me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the depths. Psa 88:6 ὡσεὶ τραυματίαι ἐρριμμένοι καθεύδοντες ἐν τάφῳ ὧν οὐκ ἐμνήσθης ἔτι καὶ αὐτοὶ ἐκ τῆς χειρός σου ἀπώσθησαν
Psa 88:7 Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah. Psa 88:7 Your wrath has rested upon me, And You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah. Psa 88:7 ἔθεντό με ἐν λάκκῳ κατωτάτῳ ἐν σκοτεινοῖς καὶ ἐν σκιᾷ θανάτου
Psa 88:8 Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. Psa 88:8 You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an object of loathing to them; I am shut up and cannot go out. Psa 88:8 ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐπεστηρίχθη ὁ θυμός σου καὶ πάντας τοὺς μετεωρισμούς σου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐπήγαγες διάψαλμα
Psa 88:9 Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee. Psa 88:9 My eye has wasted away because of affliction; I have called upon You every day, O Lord; I have spread out my hands to You. Psa 88:9 ἐμάκρυνας τοὺς γνωστούς μου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἔθεντό με βδέλυγμα ἑαυτοῖς παρεδόθην καὶ οὐκ ἐξεπορευόμην
Psa 88:10 Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. Psa 88:10 Will You perform wonders for the dead? Will the departed spirits rise and praise You? Selah. Psa 88:10 οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἠσθένησαν ἀπὸ πτωχείας ἐκέκραξα πρὸς σέ κύριε ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν διεπέτασα πρὸς σὲ τὰς χεῖράς μου
Psa 88:11 Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? Psa 88:11 Will Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness in Abaddon? Psa 88:11 μὴ τοῖς νεκροῖς ποιήσεις θαυμάσια ἢ ἰατροὶ ἀναστήσουσιν καὶ ἐξομολογήσονταί σοι
Psa 88:12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? Psa 88:12 Will Your wonders be made known in the darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? Psa 88:12 μὴ διηγήσεταί τις ἐν τάφῳ τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου ἐν τῇ ἀπωλείᾳ
Psa 88:13 But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. Psa 88:13 But I, O Lord, have cried out to You for help, And in the morning my prayer comes before You. Psa 88:13 μὴ γνωσθήσεται ἐν τῷ σκότει τὰ θαυμάσιά σου καὶ ἡ δικαιοσύνη σου ἐν γῇ ἐπιλελησμένῃ
Psa 88:14 LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me? Psa 88:14 O Lord, why do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me? Psa 88:14 κἀγὼ πρὸς σέ κύριε ἐκέκραξα καὶ τὸ πρωὶ ἡ προσευχή μου προφθάσει σε
Psa 88:15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted. Psa 88:15 I was afflicted and about to die from my youth on; I suffer Your terrors; I am overcome. Psa 88:15 ἵνα τί κύριε ἀπωθεῖς τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀποστρέφεις τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ
Psa 88:16 Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off. Psa 88:16 Your burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have destroyed me. Psa 88:16 πτωχός εἰμι ἐγὼ καὶ ἐν κόποις ἐκ νεότητός μου ὑψωθεὶς δὲ ἐταπεινώθην καὶ ἐξηπορήθην
Psa 88:17 They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together. Psa 88:17 They have surrounded me like water all day long; They have encompassed me altogether. Psa 88:17 ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ διῆλθον αἱ ὀργαί σου καὶ οἱ φοβερισμοί σου ἐξετάραξάν με
Psa 88:18 Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness. Psa 88:18 You have removed lover and friend far from me; My acquaintances are in darkness. Psa:88:18:ἐκύκλωσάν με ὡς ὕδωρ ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν περιέσχον με ἅμα Psa 87:19 ἐμάκρυνας ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ φίλον καὶ πλησίον καὶ τοὺς γνωστούς μου ἀπὸ ταλαιπωρίας
