Proverbs 4
Pro 4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. Pro 4:1 Hear, O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, Pro 4:1 ἀκούσατε παῖδες παιδείαν πατρὸς καὶ προσέχετε γνῶναι ἔννοιαν
Pro 4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. Pro 4:2 For I give you sound teaching; Do not abandon my instruction. Pro 4:2 δῶρον γὰρ ἀγαθὸν δωροῦμαι ὑμῖν τὸν ἐμὸν νόμον μὴ ἐγκαταλίπητε
Pro 4:3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. Pro 4:3 When I was a son to my father, Tender and the only son in the sight of my mother, Pro 4:3 υἱὸς γὰρ ἐγενόμην κἀγὼ πατρὶ ὑπήκοος καὶ ἀγαπώμενος ἐν προσώπῳ μητρός
Pro 4:4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Pro 4:4 Then he taught me and said to me, "Let your heart hold fast my words; Keep my commandments and live; Pro 4:4 οἳ ἔλεγον καὶ ἐδίδασκόν με ἐρειδέτω ὁ ἡμέτερος λόγος εἰς σὴν καρδίαν
Pro 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Pro 4:5 Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Pro 4:5 φύλασσε ἐντολάς μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ μηδὲ παρίδῃς ῥῆσιν ἐμοῦ στόματος

Pro 4:11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. Pro 4:11 I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. Pro 4:11 ὁδοὺς γὰρ σοφίας διδάσκω σε ἐμβιβάζω δέ σε τροχιαῖς ὀρθαῖς
Pro 4:12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Pro 4:12 When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; And if you run, you will not stumble. Pro 4:12 ἐὰν γὰρ πορεύῃ οὐ συγκλεισθήσεταί σου τὰ διαβήματα ἐὰν δὲ τρέχῃς οὐ κοπιάσεις
Pro 4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Pro 4:13 Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life. Pro 4:13 ἐπιλαβοῦ ἐμῆς παιδείας μὴ ἀφῇς ἀλλὰ φύλαξον αὐτὴν σεαυτῷ εἰς ζωήν σου

Pro 4:16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. Pro 4:16 For they cannot sleep unless they do evil; And they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble. Pro 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Pro 4:18 αἱ δὲ ὁδοὶ τῶν δικαίων ὁμοίως φωτὶ λάμπουσιν προπορεύονται καὶ φωτίζουσιν ἕως κατορθώσῃ ἡ ἡμέρα
Pro 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. Pro 4:19 The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know over what they stumble. Pro 4:19 αἱ δὲ ὁδοὶ τῶν ἀσεβῶν σκοτειναί οὐκ οἴδασιν πῶς προσκόπτουσιν

Pro 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. Pro 4:21 Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. Pro 4:21 ὅπως μὴ ἐκλίπωσίν σε αἱ πηγαί σου φύλασσε αὐτὰς ἐν σῇ καρδίᾳ
Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Pro 4:22 For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. Pro 4:22 ζωὴ γάρ ἐστιν τοῖς εὑρίσκουσιν αὐτὰς καὶ πάσῃ σαρκὶ ἴασις
Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Pro 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Pro 4:23 πάσῃ φυλακῇ τήρει σὴν καρδίαν ἐκ γὰρ τούτων ἔξοδοι ζωῆς
Pro 4:24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Pro 4:24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. Pro 4:24 περίελε σεαυτοῦ σκολιὸν στόμα καὶ ἄδικα χείλη μακρὰν ἀπὸ σοῦ ἄπωσαι
Pro 4:25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Pro 4:25 Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Pro 4:25 οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ὀρθὰ βλεπέτωσαν τὰ δὲ βλέφαρά σου νευέτω δίκαια
Pro 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Pro 4:26 Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. Pro 4:26 ὀρθὰς τροχιὰς ποίει σοῖς ποσὶν καὶ τὰς ὁδούς σου κατεύθυνε
Pro 4:27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. Pro 4:27 Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil. Pro 4:27 μὴ ἐκκλίνῃς εἰς τὰ δεξιὰ μηδὲ εἰς τὰ ἀριστερά ἀπόστρεψον δὲ σὸν πόδα ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ κακῆς ~ ὁδοὺς γὰρ τὰς ἐκ δεξιῶν οἶδεν ὁ θεός διεστραμμέναι δέ εἰσιν αἱ ἐξ ἀριστερῶν ~ αὐτὸς δὲ ὀρθὰς ποιήσει τὰς τροχιάς σου τὰς δὲ πορείας σου ἐν εἰρήνῃ προάξει
