Jn 13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

Jn 13:6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

Jn 13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Jn 13:8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Jn 13:8 Peter *said to Him, "Never shall You wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."

Joh 13:8 λέγει αὐτῶ πέτρος, οὐ μὴ νίψῃς μου τοὺς πόδας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. ἀπεκρίθη ἰησοῦς αὐτῶ, ἐὰν μὴ νίψω σε, οὐκ ἔχεις μέρος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ.

Jn 13:9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

Jn 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

Jn 13:10 Jesus *said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you."

Joh 13:10 λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὁ λελουμένος οὐκ ἔχει χρείαν εἰ μὴ τοὺς πόδας νίψασθαι, ἀλλ᾽ ἔστιν καθαρὸς ὅλος· καὶ ὑμεῖς καθαροί ἐστε, ἀλλ᾽ οὐχὶ πάντες.

Jn 13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

Joh 13:11 ᾔδει γὰρ τὸν παραδιδόντα αὐτόν· διὰ τοῦτο εἶπεν ὅτι οὐχὶ πάντες καθαροί ἐστε.

Jn 13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

Joh 13:12 ὅτε οὗν ἔνιψεν τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν [καὶ] ἔλαβεν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνέπεσεν πάλιν, εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, γινώσκετε τί πεποίηκα ὑμῖν;

Jn 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

Jn 13:13 You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am.

Joh 13:13 ὑμεῖς φωνεῖτέ με ὁ διδάσκαλος καὶ ὁ κύριος, καὶ καλῶς λέγετε, εἰμὶ γάρ.

Jn 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

Jn 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

Joh 13:16 ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐκ ἔστιν δοῦλος μείζων τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ ἀπόστολος μείζων τοῦ πέμψαντος αὐτόν.

Jn 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Jn 13 18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

Joh 13:18 οὐ περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν λέγω· ἐγὼ οἶδα τίνας ἐξελεξάμην· ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ, ὁ τρώγων μου τὸν ἄρτον ἐπῆρεν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν πτέρναν αὐτοῦ.

Jn 13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

Joh 13:19 ἀπ᾽ ἄρτι λέγω ὑμῖν πρὸ τοῦ γενέσθαι, ἵνα πιστεύσητε ὅταν γένηται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι.

Jn 13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Jn 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Joh 13:21 ταῦτα εἰπὼν [ὁ] ἰησοῦς ἐταράχθη τῶ πνεύματι καὶ ἐμαρτύρησεν καὶ εἶπεν, ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με.

Jn 13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.

Jn 13:24 So Simon Peter *gestured to him, and *said to him, "Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking."

Joh 13:24 νεύει οὗν τούτῳ σίμων πέτρος πυθέσθαι τίς ἂν εἴη περὶ οὖ λέγει.

Jn 13:25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?

Jn 13:25 He, leaning back thus on Jesus' bosom, *said to Him, "Lord, who is it?"

Joh 13:25 ἀναπεσὼν οὗν ἐκεῖνος οὕτως ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος τοῦ ἰησοῦ λέγει αὐτῶ, κύριε, τίς ἐστιν;
|
Jn 13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
|
Jn 13:26 Jesus then *answered, "That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him." So when He had dipped the morsel, He *took and *gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

Joh 13:26 ἀποκρίνεται [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ᾧ ἐγὼ βάψω τὸ ψωμίον καὶ δώσω αὐτῶ. βάψας οὗν τὸ ψωμίον [λαμβάνει καὶ] δίδωσιν ἰούδᾳ σίμωνος ἰσκαριώτου.

Jn 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

Jn 13:27 After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus *said to him, "What you do, do quickly."

Joh 13:27 καὶ μετὰ τὸ ψωμίον τότε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἐκεῖνον ὁ σατανᾶς. λέγει οὗν αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὃ ποιεῖς ποίησον τάχιον.

Jn 13:28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.

Jn 13:29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

Jn 13:29 For some were supposing, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, "Buy the things we have need of for the feast"; or else, that he should give something to the poor.

Joh 13:29 τινὲς γὰρ ἐδόκουν, ἐπεὶ τὸ γλωσσόκομον εἶχεν ἰούδας, ὅτι λέγει αὐτῶ [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἀγόρασον ὧν χρείαν ἔχομεν εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν, ἢ τοῖς πτωχοῖς ἵνα τι δῶ.

Jn 13:30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

Jn 13:30 So after receiving the morsel he went out immediately; and it was night.

Joh 13:30 λαβὼν οὗν τὸ ψωμίον ἐκεῖνος ἐξῆλθεν εὐθύς· ἦν δὲ νύξ.

Jn 13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

Jn 13:37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.

Jn 13:38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

Jn 13:38 Jesus *answered, "Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.

Joh 13:38 ἀποκρίνεται ἰησοῦς, τὴν ψυχήν σου ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ θήσεις; ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀλέκτωρ φωνήσῃ ἕως οὖ ἀρνήσῃ με τρίς.
