Colossians 4
Col 4:1 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. Col 4:1 Masters, grant to your slaves justice and fairness, knowing that you too have a Master in heaven. Col 4:1 οἱ κύριοι, τὸ δίκαιον καὶ τὴν ἰσότητα τοῖς δούλοις παρέχεσθε, εἰδότες ὅτι καὶ ὑμεῖς ἔχετε κύριον ἐν οὐρανῶ.
Col 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Col 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; Col 4:2 τῇ προσευχῇ προσκαρτερεῖτε, γρηγοροῦντες ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν εὐχαριστίᾳ,
Col 4:3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: Col 4:3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; Col 4:3 προσευχόμενοι ἅμα καὶ περὶ ἡμῶν, ἵνα ὁ θεὸς ἀνοίξῃ ἡμῖν θύραν τοῦ λόγου, λαλῆσαι τὸ μυστήριον τοῦ χριστοῦ, δι᾽ ὃ καὶ δέδεμαι,
Col 4:4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Col 4:4 that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak. Col 4:4 ἵνα φανερώσω αὐτὸ ὡς δεῖ με λαλῆσαι.
Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Col 4:5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Col 4:5 ἐν σοφίᾳ περιπατεῖτε πρὸς τοὺς ἔξω, τὸν καιρὸν ἐξαγοραζόμενοι.
Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Col 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. Col 4:6 ὁ λόγος ὑμῶν πάντοτε ἐν χάριτι, ἅλατι ἠρτυμένος, εἰδέναι πῶς δεῖ ὑμᾶς ἑνὶ ἑκάστῳ ἀποκρίνεσθαι.
Col 4:7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: Col 4:7 As to all my affairs, Tychicus, our beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow bond-servant in the Lord, will bring you information. Col 4:7 τὰ κατ᾽ ἐμὲ πάντα γνωρίσει ὑμῖν τυχικὸς ὁ ἀγαπητὸς ἀδελφὸς καὶ πιστὸς διάκονος καὶ σύνδουλος ἐν κυρίῳ,
Col 4:8 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts; Col 4:8 For I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts; Col 4:8 ὃν ἔπεμψα πρὸς ὑμᾶς εἰς αὐτὸ τοῦτο, ἵνα γνῶτε τὰ περὶ ἡμῶν καὶ παρακαλέσῃ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν,
Col 4:9 With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here. Col 4:9 and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of your number. They will inform you about the whole situation here. Col 4:9 σὺν ὀνησίμῳ τῶ πιστῶ καὶ ἀγαπητῶ ἀδελφῶ, ὅς ἐστιν ἐξ ὑμῶν· πάντα ὑμῖν γνωρίσουσιν τὰ ὧδε.
Col 4:10 Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) Col 4:10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you his greetings; and also Barnabas's cousin Mark (about whom you received instructions; if he comes to you, welcome him); Col 4:10 ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς ἀρίσταρχος ὁ συναιχμάλωτός μου, καὶ μᾶρκος ὁ ἀνεψιὸς βαρναβᾶ περὶ οὖ ἐλάβετε ἐντολάς, ἐὰν ἔλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς δέξασθε αὐτόν,
Col 4:11 And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me. Col 4:11 and also Jesus who is called Justus; these are the only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be an encouragement to me. Col 4:11 καὶ ἰησοῦς ὁ λεγόμενος ἰοῦστος, οἱ ὄντες ἐκ περιτομῆς οὖτοι μόνοι συνεργοὶ εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, οἵτινες ἐγενήθησάν μοι παρηγορία.
Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God. Col 4:12 ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς ἐπαφρᾶς ὁ ἐξ ὑμῶν, δοῦλος χριστοῦ [ἰησοῦ], πάντοτε ἀγωνιζόμενος ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐν ταῖς προσευχαῖς, ἵνα σταθῆτε τέλειοι καὶ πεπληροφορημένοι ἐν παντὶ θελήματι τοῦ θεοῦ.
Col 4:13 For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis. Col 4:13 For I testify for him that he has a deep concern for you and for those who are in Laodicea and Hierapolis. Col 4:13 μαρτυρῶ γὰρ αὐτῶ ὅτι ἔχει πολὺν πόνον ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν ἐν λαοδικείᾳ καὶ τῶν ἐν ἱεραπόλει.
Col 4:14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you. Col 4:14 Luke, the beloved physician, sends you his greetings, and also Demas. Col 4:14 ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς λουκᾶς ὁ ἰατρὸς ὁ ἀγαπητὸς καὶ δημᾶς.
Col 4:15 Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house. Col 4:15 Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea and also Nympha and the church that is in her house. Col 4:15 ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐν λαοδικείᾳ ἀδελφοὺς καὶ νύμφαν καὶ τὴν κατ᾽ οἶκον αὐτῆς ἐκκλησίαν.
Col 4:16 And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. Col 4:16 When this letter is read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and you, for your part read my letter that is coming from Laodicea. Col 4:16 καὶ ὅταν ἀναγνωσθῇ παρ᾽ ὑμῖν ἡ ἐπιστολή, ποιήσατε ἵνα καὶ ἐν τῇ λαοδικέων ἐκκλησίᾳ ἀναγνωσθῇ, καὶ τὴν ἐκ λαοδικείας ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀναγνῶτε.
Col 4:17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. Col 4:17 Say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it." Col 4:17 καὶ εἴπατε ἀρχίππῳ, βλέπε τὴν διακονίαν ἣν παρέλαβες ἐν κυρίῳ, ἵνα αὐτὴν πληροῖς.
Col 4:18 The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Col 4:18 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my imprisonment. Grace be with you. Col 4:18 ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ παύλου. μνημονεύετέ μου τῶν δεσμῶν. ἡ χάρις μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν.
