(kjv) Mat 13:11 Jesus answered them," To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.
Mat 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. (kjv) Mat 13:12 For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. (kjv) Mat 13:13 Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: (kjv) Mat 13:14 In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, 'You will keep on hearing, but will not understand; You will keep on seeing, but will not perceive; Mat|13|14|καὶ ἀναπληροῦται αὐτοῖς ἡ προφητεία ἠσαΐου ἡ λέγουσα, ἀκοῇ ἀκούσετε καὶ οὐ μὴ συνῆτε, καὶ βλέποντες βλέψετε καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδητε.
Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (kjv) Mat 13:15 For the heart of this people has become dull, With their ears they scarcely hear, And they have closed their eyes, Otherwise they would see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, And understand with their heart and return, And I would heal them.
Mat 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. (kjv) Mat 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.
Mat 13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. (kjv) Mat 13:17 For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
Mat 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. (kjv) Mat 13:18 "Hear then the parable of the sower.
Mat 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. (kjv) Mat 13:19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.
Mat 13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; (kjv) Mat 13:20 The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; Mat|13|20|ὁ δὲ ἐπὶ τὰ πετρώδη σπαρείς, οὖτός ἐστιν ὁ τὸν λόγον ἀκούων καὶ εὐθὺς μετὰ χαρᾶς λαμβάνων αὐτόν·
Mat 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. (kjv) Mat 13:21 yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away.
Mat 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. (kjv) Mat 13:22 And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Mat 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. (kjv) Mat 13:23 And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."
Mat 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: (kjv) Mat 13:24 Jesus presented another parable to them, saying," The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.
Mat 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. (kjv) Mat 13:25 But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away.
Mat 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. (kjv) Mat 13:26 But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.
Mat 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? (kjv) Mat 13:27 The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? ' Mat|13|27|προσελθόντες δὲ οἱ δοῦλοι τοῦ οἰκοδεσπότου εἶπον αὐτῶ, κύριε, οὐχὶ καλὸν σπέρμα ἔσπειρας ἐν τῶ σῶ ἀγρῶ; πόθεν οὗν ἔχει ζιζάνια;
Mat 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? (kjv) Mat 13:28 And he said to them, 'An enemy has done this! 'The slaves said to him, 'Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up? ' Mat|13|28|ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτοῖς, ἐχθρὸς ἄνθρωπος τοῦτο ἐποίησεν. οἱ δὲ δοῦλοι λέγουσιν αὐτῶ, θέλεις οὗν ἀπελθόντες συλλέξωμεν αὐτά;
Mat 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. (kjv) Mat 13:29 But he said, 'No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (kjv) Mat 13:30 Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers," First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn."'"
Mat 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: (kjv) Mat 13:31 He presented another parable to them, saying," The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; Mat|13|31|ἄλλην παραβολὴν παρέθηκεν αὐτοῖς λέγων, ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν κόκκῳ σινάπεως, ὃν λαβὼν ἄνθρωπος ἔσπειρεν ἐν τῶ ἀγρῶ αὐτοῦ·
Mat 13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. (kjv) Mat 13:32 and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."
Mat 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. (kjv) Mat 13:33 He spoke another parable to them," The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened."
Mat 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: (kjv) Mat 13:34 All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable.
Mat 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. (kjv) Mat 13:35 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:" I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world."
Mat 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. (kjv) Mat 13:36 Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said," Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."
Mat 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; (kjv) Mat 13:37 And He said," The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, Mat|13|37|ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν, ὁ σπείρων τὸ καλὸν σπέρμα ἐστὶν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου·
Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; (kjv) Mat 13:38 and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; Mat|13|38|ὁ δὲ ἀγρός ἐστιν ὁ κόσμος· τὸ δὲ καλὸν σπέρμα, οὖτοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς βασιλείας· τὰ δὲ ζιζάνιά εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ πονηροῦ,

Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
