2Ch 21:1 Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. 2Ch 21:2 And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel. 2 Chr 21:2 He had brothers, the sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azaryahu, Michael and Shephatiah. All these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel. 2Ch 21:4 Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel. 2 Chr 21:4 Now when Jehoram had taken over the kingdom of his father and made himself secure, he killed all his brothers with the sword, and some of the rulers of Israel also. 2Ch 21:6 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD. 2 Chr 21:6 He walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab did (for Ahab's daughter was his wife), and he did evil in the sight of the Lord. 2Ch 21:7 Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever. 2 Chr 21:7 Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David because of the covenant which He had made with David, and since He had promised to give a lamp to him and his sons forever. 2Ch 21:8 In his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king. 2 Chr 21:8 In his days Edom revolted against the rule of Judah and set up a king over themselves. Ch2|21|8|ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἀπέστη Εδωμ ἀπὸ τοῦ Ιουδα καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτοὺς βασιλέα
2Ch 21:9 Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots. 2 Chr 21:9 Then Jehoram crossed over with his commanders and all his chariots with him. And he arose by night and struck down the Edomites who were surrounding him and the commanders of the chariots. 2Ch 21:10 So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers. 2 Chr 21:10 So Edom revolted against Judah to this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time against his rule, because he had forsaken the Lord God of his fathers. 2Ch 21:11 Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto. 2 Chr 21:11 Moreover, he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the harlot and led Judah astray. 2Ch 21:13 But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father's house, which were better than thyself: 2 Chr 21:13 but have walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and have caused Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the harlot as the house of Ahab played the harlot, and you have also killed your brothers, your own family, who were better than you, Ch2|21|13|καὶ ἐπορεύθης ἐν ὁδοῖς βασιλέων Ισραηλ καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὡς ἐξεπόρνευσεν οἶκος Αχααβ καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου υἱοὺς τοῦ πατρός σου τοὺς ἀγαθοὺς ὑπὲρ σὲ ἀπέκτεινας
2Ch 21:14 Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods: 2 Chr 21:14 behold, the Lord is going to strike your people, your sons, your wives and all your possessions with a great calamity; Ch2|21|14|ἰδοὺ κύριος πατάξει σε πληγὴν μεγάλην ἐν τῷ λαῷ σου καὶ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς σου καὶ ἐν γυναιξίν σου καὶ ἐν πάσῃ τῇ ἀποσκευῇ σου
2Ch 21:15 And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day. 2 Chr 21:15 and you will suffer severe sickness, a disease of your bowels, until your bowels come out because of the sickness, day by day.'" 2Ch 21:16 Moreover the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians: 2 Chr 21:16 Then the Lord stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines and the Arabs who bordered the Ethiopians; Ch2|21|16|καὶ ἐπήγειρεν κύριος ἐπὶ Ιωραμ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ τοὺς Ἄραβας καὶ τοὺς ὁμόρους τῶν Αἰθιόπων
2Ch 21:17 And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons. 2 Chr 21:17 and they came against Judah and invaded it, and carried away all the possessions found in the king's house together with his sons and his wives, so that no son was left to him except Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons. 2Ch 21:18 And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease. 2 Chr 21:18 So after all this the Lord smote him in his bowels with an incurable sickness. Ch2|21|18|καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα πάντα ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν κύριος εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν μαλακίᾳ ἐν ᾗ οὐκ ἔστιν ἰατρεία
2Ch 21:19 And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers. 2 Chr 21:19 Now it came about in the course of time, at the end of two years, that his bowels came out because of his sickness and he died in great pain. And his people made no fire for him like the fire for his fathers. Ch2|21|19|καὶ ἐγένετο ἐξ ἡμερῶν εἰς ἡμέρας καὶ ὡς ἦλθεν καιρὸς τῶν ἡμερῶν ἡμέρας δύο ἐξῆλθεν ἡ κοιλία αὐτοῦ μετὰ τῆς νόσου καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐν μαλακίᾳ πονηρᾷ καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησεν ὁ λαὸς αὐτοῦ ἐκφορὰν καθὼς ἐκφορὰν πατέρων αὐτοῦ
2Ch 21:20 Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings. 2 Chr 21:20 He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years; and he departed with no one's regret, and they buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings. 2Ch 22:1 And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. 2Ch 22:2 Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. 2 Chr 22:2 Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the granddaughter of Omri. Ch2|22|2|ὢν εἴκοσι ἐτῶν Οχοζιας ἐβασίλευσεν καὶ ἐνιαυτὸν ἕνα ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ Γοθολια θυγάτηρ Αμβρι
2Ch 22:3 He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly. 2 Chr 22:3 He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly. 2Ch 22:5 He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramothgilead: and the Syrians smote Joram. 2 Chr 22:5 He also walked according to their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to wage war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth-gilead. 2Ch 22:6 And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick. 2 Chr 22:6 So he returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which they had inflicted on him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. And Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick. 2Ch 22:7 And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. 2 Chr 22:7 Now the destruction of Ahaziah was from God, in that he went to Joram. For when he came, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. 2Ch 22:8 And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them. 2 Chr 22:8 It came about when Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, he found the princes of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah's brothers ministering to Ahaziah, and slew them. Ch2|22|8|καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐξεδίκησεν Ιου τὸν οἶκον Αχααβ καὶ εὗρεν τοὺς ἄρχοντας Ιουδα καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς Οχοζια λειτουργοῦντας τῷ Οχοζια καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτούς
2Ch 22:9 And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom. 2 Chr 22:9 He also sought Ahaziah, and they caught him while he was hiding in Samaria; they brought him to Jehu, put him to death and buried him. For they said, "He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart." So there was no one of the house of Ahaziah to retain the power of the kingdom. Ch2|22|9|καὶ εἶπεν τοῦ ζητῆσαι τὸν Οχοζιαν καὶ κατέλαβον αὐτὸν ἰατρευόμενον ἐν Σαμαρείᾳ καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν πρὸς Ιου καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτόν ὅτι εἶπαν υἱὸς Ιωσαφατ ἐστίν ὃς ἐζήτησεν τὸν κύριον ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐν οἴκῳ Οχοζια κατισχῦσαι δύναμιν περὶ τῆς βασιλείας
2Ch 22:10 But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah. 2 Chr 22:10 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she rose and destroyed all the royal offspring of the house of Judah. Ch2|22|10|καὶ Γοθολια ἡ μήτηρ Οχοζια εἶδεν ὅτι τέθνηκεν αὐτῆς ὁ υἱός καὶ ἠγέρθη καὶ ἀπώλεσεν πᾶν τὸ σπέρμα τῆς βασιλείας ἐν οἴκῳ Ιουδα
2Ch 22:11 But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not. 2 Chr 22:11 But Jehoshabeath the king's daughter took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons who were being put to death, and placed him and his nurse in the bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she would not put him to death. Ch2|22|11|καὶ ἔλαβεν Ιωσαβεθ ἡ θυγάτηρ τοῦ βασιλέως τὸν Ιωας υἱὸν Οχοζια καὶ ἔκλεψεν αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν τοῦ βασιλέως τῶν θανατουμένων καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸν καὶ τὴν τροφὸν αὐτοῦ εἰς ταμίειον τῶν κλινῶν καὶ ἔκρυψεν αὐτὸν Ιωσαβεθ θυγάτηρ τοῦ βασιλέως Ιωραμ ἀδελφὴ Οχοζιου γυνὴ Ιωδαε τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔκρυψεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ προσώπου Γοθολιας καὶ οὐκ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν
2Ch 22:12 And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land. 2 Chr 22:12 He was hidden with them in the house of God six years while Athaliah reigned over the land. Ch2|22|12|καὶ ἦν μετ᾽ αὐτῆς ἐν οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ κατακεκρυμμένος ἓξ ἔτη καὶ Γοθολια ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς

2Ch 23:7 And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out. 2 Chr 23:7 The Levites will surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever enters the house, let him be killed. Thus be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out." 2Ch 23:8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses. 2 Chr 23:8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded. 2Ch 23:9 Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in the house of God. 2 Chr 23:9 Then Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and the large and small shields which had been King David's, which were in the house of God. 2Ch 23:13 And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason. 2 Chr 23:13 She looked, and behold, the king was standing by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpeters were beside the king. And all the people of the land rejoiced and blew trumpets, the singers with their musical instruments leading the praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and said, "Treason! Treason!" 2Ch 23:14 Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. 2Ch 23:15 So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there. 2 Chr 23:15 So they seized her, and when she arrived at the entrance of the Horse Gate of the king's house, they put her to death there. 2Ch 23:18 Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David. 2 Chr 23:18 Moreover, Jehoiada placed the offices of the house of the Lord under the authority of the Levitical priests, whom David had assigned over the house of the Lord, to offer the burnt offerings of the Lord, as it is written in the law of Moses"with rejoicing and singing according to the order of David. 2Ch 23:19 And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in. 2 Chr 23:19 He stationed the gatekeepers of the house of the Lord, so that no one would enter who was in any way unclean. And they placed the king upon the royal throne. 2Ch 23:21 And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after that they had slain Athaliah with the sword. 2 Chr 23:21 So all of the people of the land rejoiced and the city was quiet. 2Ch 24:5 And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that ye hasten the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it not. 2 Chr 24:5 He gathered the priests and Levites and said to them, "Go out to the cities of Judah and collect money from all Israel to repair the house of your God annually, and you shall do the matter quickly." But the Levites did not act quickly. 2Ch 24:6 And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness? 2 Chr 24:6 So the king summoned Jehoiada the chief priest and said to him, "Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and from Jerusalem the levy fixed by Moses the servant of the Lord on the congregation of Israel for the tent of the testimony?" Ch2|24|6|καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιωας τὸν Ιωδαε τὸν ἄρχοντα καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ διὰ τί οὐκ ἐπεσκέψω περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν τοῦ εἰσενέγκαι ἀπὸ Ιουδα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ τὸ κεκριμένον ὑπὸ Μωυσῆ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ θεοῦ ὅτε ἐξεκκλησίασεν τὸν Ισραηλ εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου
2Ch 24:7 For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow upon Baalim. 2 Chr 24:7 For the sons of the wicked Athaliah had broken into the house of God and even used the holy things of the house of the Lord for the Baals. 2Ch 24:8 And at the king's commandment they made a chest, and set it without at the gate of the house of the LORD. 2 Chr 24:8 So the king commanded, and they made a chest and set it outside by the gate of the house of the Lord. Ch2|24|8|καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς γενηθήτω γλωσσόκομον καὶ τεθήτω ἐν πύλῃ οἴκου κυρίου ἔξω
2Ch 24:9 And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in to the LORD the collection that Moses the servant of God laid upon Israel in the wilderness. 2 Chr 24:9 They made a proclamation in Judah and Jerusalem to bring to the Lord the levy fixed by Moses the servant of God on Israel in the wilderness. 2Ch 24:10 And all the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, until they had made an end. 2 Chr 24:10 All the officers and all the people rejoiced and brought in their levies and dropped them into the chest until they had finished. 2Ch 24:11 Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king's office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance. 2 Chr 24:11 It came about whenever the chest was brought in to the king's officer by the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, then the king's scribe and the chief priest's officer would come, empty the chest, take it, and return it to its place. Thus they did daily and collected much money. Ch2|24|11|καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς εἰσέφερον τὸ γλωσσόκομον πρὸς τοὺς προστάτας τοῦ βασιλέως διὰ χειρὸς τῶν Λευιτῶν καὶ ὡς εἶδον ὅτι ἐπλεόνασεν τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἦλθεν ὁ γραμματεὺς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ὁ προστάτης τοῦ ἱερέως τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ ἐξεκένωσαν τὸ γλωσσόκομον καὶ κατέστησαν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ οὕτως ἐποίουν ἡμέραν ἐξ ἡμέρας καὶ συνήγαγον ἀργύριον πολύ
2Ch 24:12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD. 2 Chr 24:12 The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who did the work of the service of the house of the Lord; and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of the Lord, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of the Lord. Ch2|24|12|καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς τοῖς ποιοῦσιν τὰ ἔργα εἰς τὴν ἐργασίαν οἴκου κυρίου καὶ ἐμισθοῦντο λατόμους καὶ τέκτονας ἐπισκευάσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ χαλκεῖς σιδήρου καὶ χαλκοῦ ἐπισκευάσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου
