Today's Date: ======= Genesis 4:1 ============ Gen 4:1 Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the Lord." (nasb) Gen 4:1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, "I have acquired a man from the Lord." (nkjv) Gen 4:1 Und Adam erkannte sein Weib Eva, und sie ward schwanger und gebar den Kain und sprach: Ich habe einen Mann gewonnen mit dem HERRN.(dhs) Gen 4:1 Αδαμ δὲ ἔγνω Ευαν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ συλλαβοῦσα ἔτεκεν τὸν Καιν καὶ εἶπεν ἐκτησάμην ἄνθρωπον διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:2 ============ Gen 4:2 Again, she gave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. (nasb) Gen 4:2 Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. And the Lord had regard for Abel and for his offering; (nasb) Gen 4:4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. Und der HERR sah gnädig an Abel und sein Opfer;(dhs) Gen 4:4 καὶ Αβελ ἤνεγκεν καὶ αὐτὸς ἀπὸ τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν προβάτων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν στεάτων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπεῖδεν ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ Αβελ καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς δώροις αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:5 ============ Gen 4:5 but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell. (nasb) Gen 4:5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. (nkjv) Gen 4:6 Da sprach der HERR zu Kain: Warum ergrimmst du? und warum verstellt sich deine Gebärde?(dhs) Gen 4:6 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῷ Καιν ἵνα τί περίλυπος ἐγένου καὶ ἵνα τί συνέπεσεν τὸ πρόσωπόν σου (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:7 ============ Gen 4:7 If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it." (nasb) Gen 4:7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it." (nkjv) Gen 4:7 Ist's nicht also? Wenn du fromm bist, so bist du angenehm; bist du aber nicht fromm, so ruht die Sünde vor der Tür, und nach dir hat sie Verlangen; du aber herrsche über sie.(dhs) Gen 4:7 οὐκ ἐὰν ὀρθῶς προσενέγκῃς ὀρθῶς δὲ μὴ διέλῃς ἥμαρτες ἡσύχασον πρὸς σὲ ἡ ἀποστροφὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ σὺ ἄρξεις αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:8 ============ Gen 4:8 Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. (nasb) Gen 4:8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground. (nasb) Gen 4:10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. Die Stimme des Bluts deines Bruders schreit zu mir von der Erde.(dhs) Gen 4:10 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεός τί ἐποίησας φωνὴ αἵματος τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου βοᾷ πρός με ἐκ τῆς γῆς (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:11 ============ Gen 4:11 Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. (nasb) Gen 4:11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. (nkjv) Gen 4:11 Und nun verflucht seist du auf der Erde, die ihr Maul hat aufgetan und deines Bruders Blut von deinen Händen empfangen.(dhs) Gen 4:11 καὶ νῦν ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἣ ἔχανεν τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς δέξασθαι τὸ αἷμα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου ἐκ τῆς χειρός σου (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:12 ============ Gen 4:12 When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth." (nasb) Gen 4:12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth." (nkjv) Gen 4:12 Wenn du den Acker bauen wirst, soll er dir hinfort sein Vermögen nicht geben. (nasb) Gen 4:13 And Cain said to the Lord, "My punishment is greater than I can bear! (nkjv) Gen 4:13 Kain aber sprach zu dem HERRN: Meine Sünde ist größer, denn daß sie mir vergeben werden möge.(dhs) Gen 4:13 καὶ εἶπεν Καιν πρὸς τὸν κύριον μείζων ἡ αἰτία μου τοῦ ἀφεθῆναί με (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:14 ============ Gen 4:14 Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." (nasb) Gen 4:14 Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me." (nkjv) Gen 4:14 Siehe, du treibst mich heute aus dem Lande, und ich muß mich vor deinem Angesicht verbergen und muß unstet und flüchtig sein auf Erden. So wird mir's gehen, daß mich totschlage, wer mich findet.(dhs) Gen 4:14 εἰ ἐκβάλλεις με σήμερον ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ προσώπου σου κρυβήσομαι καὶ ἔσομαι στένων καὶ τρέμων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἔσται πᾶς ὁ εὑρίσκων με ἀποκτενεῖ με (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:15 ============ Gen 4:15 So the Lord said to him, "Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." And the Lord appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him. (nasb) Gen 4:15 And the Lord said to him, "Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him. (nkjv) Gen 4:15 Aber der HERR sprach zu ihm: Nein; sondern wer Kain totschlägt, das soll siebenfältig gerächt werden. Und der HERR machte ein Zeichen an Kain, daß ihn niemand erschlüge, wer ihn fände.(dhs) Gen 4:15 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ κύριος ὁ θεός οὐχ οὕτως πᾶς ὁ ἀποκτείνας Καιν ἑπτὰ ἐκδικούμενα παραλύσει καὶ ἔθετο κύριος ὁ θεὸς σημεῖον τῷ Καιν τοῦ μὴ ἀνελεῖν αὐτὸν πάντα τὸν εὑρίσκοντα αὐτόν (lxx) ======= Genesis 4:16 ============ Gen 4:16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. (nasb) Gen 4:18 To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech. For I have killed a man for wounding me, Even a young man for hurting me. (nasb) Gen 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, "For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed."
