So David sent some of his servants to console him concerning his father. But when David's servants came to the land of the Ammonites, (nasb) 2Sa 10:2 Then David said, "I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me." So David sent by the hand of his servants to comfort him concerning his father. And David's servants came into the land of the people of Ammon. Has David not sent his servants to you in order to search the city, to spy it out and overthrow it?" Has David not rather sent his servants to you to search the city, to spy it out, and to overthrow it?" (nkjv) 2Sa 10:3 sprachen die Gewaltigen der Kinder Ammon zu ihrem Herrn, Hanun: Meinst du, daß David deinen Vater ehren wolle, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat?
