Today's Date: ======= 1 Kings 5:1 ============ 1Ki 5:1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, when he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always been a friend of David. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:1 Und Hiram, der König zu Tyrus, sandte seine Knechte zu Salomo; denn er hatte gehört, daß sie ihn zum König gesalbt hatten an seines Vaters Statt. (nasb) 1Ki 5:3 You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under the soles of his feet. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:3 Du weißt, daß mein Vater David nicht konnte bauen ein Haus dem Namen des HERRN, seines Gottes, um des Krieges willen, der um ihn her war, bis sie der HERR unter seiner Füße Sohlen gab.(dhs) 1Ki 5:3 καὶ δέκα μόσχοι ἐκλεκτοὶ καὶ εἴκοσι βόες νομάδες καὶ ἑκατὸν πρόβατα ἐκτὸς ἐλάφων καὶ δορκάδων καὶ ὀρνίθων ἐκλεκτῶν σιτευτά (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:4 ============ 1Ki 5:4 But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor misfortune. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:4 Nun aber hat mir der HERR, mein Gott, Ruhe gegeben umher, daß kein Widersacher noch böses Hindernis mehr ist.(dhs) 1Ki 5:4 ὅτι ἦν ἄρχων πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ἦν αὐτῷ εἰρήνη ἐκ πάντων τῶν μερῶν κυκλόθεν ======= 1 Kings 5:5 ============ 1Ki 5:5 Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke to David my father, saying, 'Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he will build the house for My name.' (nasb) 1Ki 5:5 And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke to my father David, saying, "Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name." (nkjv) 1Ki 5:5 Siehe, so habe ich gedacht, ein Haus zu bauen dem Namen des HERRN, meines Gottes, wie der HERR geredet hat zu meinem Vater David und gesagt: Dein Sohn, den ich an deine Statt setzen werde auf deinen Stuhl, der soll meinem Namen das Haus bauen.(dhs) 1Ki 5:5 Lxx differs (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:6 ============ 1Ki 5:6 Now therefore, command that they cut for me cedars from Lebanon, and my servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say, for you know that there is no one among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians." (nasb) 1Ki 5:6 Now therefore, command that they cut down cedars for me from Lebanon; and my servants will be with your servants, and I will pay you wages for your servants according to whatever you say. For you know there is none among us who has skill to cut timber like the Sidonians. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:6 So befiehl nun, daß man mir Zedern aus dem Libanon haue, und daß deine Knechte mit meinen Knechten seien. Und den Lohn deiner Knechte will ich dir geben, alles, wie du sagst. Denn du weißt, daß bei uns niemand ist, der Holz zu hauen wisse wie die Sidonier.(dhs) 1Ki 5:6 Lxx differs (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:7 ============ 1Ki 5:7 When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly and said, "Blessed be the Lord today, who has given to David a wise son over this great people." (nasb) 1Ki 5:7 So it was, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, for He has given David a wise son over this great people! (nkjv) 1Ki 5:7 Da Hiram aber hörte die Worte Salomos, freute er sich hoch und sprach: Gelobt sei der HERR heute, der David einen weisen Sohn gegeben hat über dies große Volk.(dhs) 1Ki 5:7 Lxx differs (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:8 ============ 1Ki 5:8 So Hiram sent word to Solomon, saying, "I have heard the message which you have sent me; I will do what you desire concerning the cedar and cypress timber. (nasb) 1Ki 5:8 Then Hiram sent to Solomon, saying: I have considered the message which you sent me, and I will do all you desire concerning the cedar and cypress logs. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:8 Und Hiram sandte zu Salomo und ließ ihm sagen: Ich habe gehört, was du zu mir gesandt hast. Ich will tun nach allem deinem Begehr mit Zedern-und Tannenholz(dhs) 1Ki 5:8 Lxx differs (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:9 ============ 1Ki 5:9 My servants will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; and I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place where you direct me, and I will have them broken up there, and you shall carry them away. Then you shall accomplish my desire by giving food to my household." (nasb) 1Ki 5:9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you indicate to me, and will have them broken apart there; then you can take them away. And you shall fulfill my desire by giving food for my household. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:9 Meine Knechte sollen die Stämme vom Libanon hinabbringen ans Meer, und will sie in Flöße legen lassen auf dem Meer bis an den Ort, den du mir wirst ansagen lassen, und will sie daselbst abbinden, und du sollst's holen lassen. Aber du sollst auch mein Begehr tun und Speise geben meinem Gesinde.(dhs) 1Ki 5:9 καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος φρόνησιν τῷ Σαλωμων καὶ σοφίαν πολλὴν σφόδρα καὶ χύμα καρδίας ὡς ἡ ἄμμος ἡ παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:10 ============ 1Ki 5:10 So Hiram gave Solomon as much as he desired of the cedar and cypress timber. (nasb) 1Ki 5:10 Then Hiram gave Solomon cedar and cypress logs according to all his desire. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:10 Also gab Hiram Salomo Zedern-und Tannenholz nach allem seinem Begehr.(dhs) 1Ki 5:10 καὶ ἐπληθύνθη Σαλωμων σφόδρα ὑπὲρ τὴν φρόνησιν πάντων ἀρχαίων ἀνθρώπων καὶ ὑπὲρ πάντας φρονίμους Αἰγύπτου ======= 1 Kings 5:11 ============ 1Ki 5:11 Solomon then gave Hiram 20,000 kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of beaten oil; thus Solomon would give Hiram year by year. (nasb) 1Ki 5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of pressed oil. Thus Solomon gave to Hiram year by year. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:11 Salomo aber gab Hiram zwanzigtausend Kor Weizen, zu essen für sein Gesinde, und zwanzig Kor gestoßenen Öls. (nasb) 1Ki 5:12 So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together. (nkjv) 1Ki 5:12 Und der HERR gab Salomo Weisheit, wie er ihm geredet hatte. Und es war Friede zwischen Hiram und Salomo, und sie machten beide einen Bund miteinander.(dhs) 1Ki 5:12 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Σαλωμων τρισχιλίας παραβολάς καὶ ἦσαν ᾠδαὶ αὐτοῦ πεντακισχίλιαι ======= 1 Kings 5:13 ============ 1Ki 5:13 Now King Solomon levied forced laborers from all Israel; and the forced laborers numbered 30,000 men. (nasb) 1Ki 5:13 Then King Solomon raised up a labor force out of all Israel; and the labor force was thirty thousand men. And Adoniram was over the forced laborers. (nasb) 1Ki 5:14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month in shifts: they were one month in Lebanon and two months at home; Adoniram was in charge of the labor force. Und Adoniram war über solche Anzahl.(dhs) 1Ki 5:14 καὶ παρεγίνοντο πάντες οἱ λαοὶ ἀκοῦσαι τῆς σοφίας Σαλωμων καὶ ἐλάμβανεν δῶρα παρὰ πάντων τῶν βασιλέων τῆς γῆς ὅσοι ἤκουον τῆς σοφίας αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= 1 Kings 5:15 ============ 1Ki 5:15 Now Solomon had 70,000 transporters, and 80,000 hewers of stone in the mountains, (nasb) 1Ki 5:15 Solomon had seventy thousand who carried burdens, and eighty thousand who quarried stone in the mountains, (nkjv) 1Ki 5:15 Und Salomo hatte siebzigtausend, die Last trugen, und achtzigtausend, die da Steine hieben auf dem Berge,(dhs) 1Ki 5:15 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Χιραμ βασιλεὺς Τύρου τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ χρῖσαι τὸν Σαλωμων ἀντὶ Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἀγαπῶν ἦν Χιραμ τὸν Δαυιδ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ======= 1 Kings 5:16 ============ 1Ki 5:16 besides Solomon's 3,300 chief deputies who were over the project and who ruled over the people who were doing the work. (nasb) 1Ki 5:16 besides three thousand three hundred from the chiefs of Solomon's deputies, who supervised the people who labored in the work.
