(nkjv) 2Ch 25:4 Aber ihre Kinder tötete er nicht; denn also steht's im Gesetz, im Buch Mose's, da der HERR gebietet und spricht: Die Väter sollen nicht sterben für die Kinder noch die Kinder für die Väter; sondern ein jeglicher soll um seiner Sünde willen sterben.(dhs) 2Ch 25:4 καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν οὐκ ἀπέκτεινεν κατὰ τὴν διαθήκην τοῦ νόμου κυρίου καθὼς γέγραπται ὡς ἐνετείλατο κύριος λέγων οὐκ ἀποθανοῦνται πατέρες ὑπὲρ τέκνων καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἀποθανοῦνται ὑπὲρ πατέρων ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἕκαστος τῇ ἑαυτοῦ ἁμαρτίᾳ ἀποθανοῦνται (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:5 ============ 2Ch 25:5 Moreover, Amaziah assembled Judah and appointed them according to their fathers' households under commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds throughout Judah and Benjamin; and he took a census of those from twenty years old and upward and found them to be 300,000 choice men, able to go to war and handle spear and shield. (nasb) 2Ch 25:5 Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together and set over them captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, according to their fathers' houses, throughout all Judah and Benjamin; and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them to be three hundred thousand choice men, able to go to war, who could handle spear and shield. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:5 Und Amazja brachte zuhauf Juda und stellte sie nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach den Obersten über tausend und über hundert unter ganz Juda und Benjamin, und zählte sie von zwanzig Jahren und darüber und fand ihrer dreihunderttausend auserlesen, die ins Heer ziehen und Spieß und Schild führen konnten.(dhs) 2Ch 25:5 καὶ συνήγαγεν Αμασιας τὸν οἶκον Ιουδα καὶ ἀνέστησεν αὐτοὺς κατ᾽ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν εἰς χιλιάρχους καὶ ἑκατοντάρχους ἐν παντὶ Ιουδα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἠρίθμησεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω καὶ εὗρεν αὐτοὺς τριακοσίας χιλιάδας δυνατοὺς ἐξελθεῖν εἰς πόλεμον κρατοῦντας δόρυ καὶ θυρεόν (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:6 ============ 2Ch 25:6 He hired also 100,000 valiant warriors out of Israel for one hundred talents of silver. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:7 Es kam aber ein Mann Gottes zu ihm und sprach: König, laß nicht das Heer Israels mit dir kommen; denn der HERR ist nicht mit Israel, mit allen Kindern Ephraim;(dhs) 2Ch 25:7 καὶ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ ἦλθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν λέγων βασιλεῦ οὐ πορεύσεται μετὰ σοῦ δύναμις Ισραηλ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν κύριος μετὰ Ισραηλ πάντων τῶν υἱῶν Εφραιμ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:8 ============ 2Ch 25:8 But if you do go, do it, be strong for the battle; yet God will bring you down before the enemy, for God has power to help and to bring down." (nasb) 2Ch 25:8 But if you go, be gone! Be strong in battle! Even so, God shall make you fall before the enemy; for God has power to help and to overthrow." (nkjv) 2Ch 25:8 sondern ziehe du hin, daß du Kühnheit beweisest im Streit. Sollte Gott dich fallen lassen vor deinen Feinden? Denn bei Gott steht die Kraft zu helfen und fallen zu lassen.(dhs) 2Ch 25:8 ὅτι ἐὰν ὑπολάβῃς κατισχῦσαι ἐν τούτοις καὶ τροπώσεταί σε κύριος ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν ὅτι ἔστιν παρὰ κυρίου καὶ ἰσχῦσαι καὶ τροπώσασθαι (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:9 ============ 2Ch 25:9 Amaziah said to the man of God, "But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the troops of Israel?" And the man of God answered, "The Lord has much more to give you than this." (nasb) 2Ch 25:9 Then Amaziah said to the man of God, "But what shall we do about the hundred talents which I have given to the troops of Israel?" And the man of God answered, "The Lord is able to give you much more than this." (nkjv) 2Ch 25:9 Amazja sprach zum Mann Gottes: Was soll man denn tun mit den hundert Zentnern, die ich den Kriegsknechten von Israel gegeben habe? Der Mann Gottes sprach: Der HERR hat noch mehr, das er dir geben kann, denn dies.(dhs) 2Ch 25:9 καὶ εἶπεν Αμασιας τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τί ποιήσω τὰ ἑκατὸν τάλαντα ἃ ἔδωκα τῇ δυνάμει Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ ἔστιν τῷ κυρίῳ δοῦναί σοι πλεῖστα τούτων (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:10 ============ 2Ch 25:10 Then Amaziah dismissed them, the troops which came to him from Ephraim, to go home; so their anger burned against Judah and they returned home in fierce anger. (nasb) 2Ch 25:10 So Amaziah discharged the troops that had come to him from Ephraim, to go back home. Therefore their anger was greatly aroused against Judah, and they returned home in great anger. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:10 Da sonderte Amazja die Kriegsleute ab, die zu ihm aus Ephraim gekommen waren, daß sie an ihren Ort hingingen. Da ergrimmte ihr Zorn wider Juda sehr, und sie zogen wieder an ihren Ort mit grimmigem Zorn.(dhs) 2Ch 25:10 καὶ διεχώρισεν Αμασιας τῇ δυνάμει τῇ ἐλθούσῃ πρὸς αὐτὸν ἀπὸ Εφραιμ ἀπελθεῖν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῶν καὶ ἐθυμώθησαν σφόδρα ἐπὶ Ιουδαν καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῶν ἐν ὀργῇ θυμοῦ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:11 ============ 2Ch 25:11 Now Amaziah strengthened himself and led his people forth, and went to the Valley of Salt and struck down 10,000 of the sons of Seir. (nasb) 2Ch 25:11 Then Amaziah strengthened himself, and leading his people, he went to the Valley of Salt and killed ten thousand of the people of Seir. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:11 Und Amazja ward getrost und führte sein Volk aus und zog aus ins Salztal und schlug die Kinder von Seir zehntausend.(dhs) 2Ch 25:11 καὶ Αμασιας κατίσχυσεν καὶ παρέλαβεν τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα τῶν ἁλῶν καὶ ἐπάταξεν ἐκεῖ τοὺς υἱοὺς Σηιρ δέκα χιλιάδας (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:12 ============ 2Ch 25:12 The sons of Judah also captured 10,000 alive and brought them to the top of the cliff and threw them down from the top of the cliff, so that they were all dashed to pieces. (nasb) 2Ch 25:12 Also the children of Judah took captive ten thousand alive, brought them to the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, so that they all were dashed in pieces. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:12 Und die Kinder Juda fingen ihrer zehntausend lebendig; die führten sie auf die Spitze eines Felsen und stürzten sie von der Spitze des Felsens, daß sie alle zerbarsten.(dhs) 2Ch 25:12 καὶ δέκα χιλιάδας ἐζώγρησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα καὶ ἔφερον αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὸ ἄκρον τοῦ κρημνοῦ καὶ κατεκρήμνιζον αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ ἄκρου τοῦ κρημνοῦ καὶ πάντες διερρήγνυντο (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:13 ============ 2Ch 25:13 But the troops whom Amaziah sent back from going with him to battle, raided the cities of Judah, from Samaria to Beth-horon, and struck down 3,000 of them and plundered much spoil. (nasb) 2Ch 25:13 But as for the soldiers of the army which Amaziah had discharged, so that they would not go with him to battle, they raided the cities of Judah from Samaria to Beth Horon, killed three thousand in them, and took much spoil. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:13 Aber die Kriegsknechte, die Amazja hatte wiederum lassen ziehen, daß sie nicht mit seinem Volk zum Streit zögen, fielen ein in die Städte Juda's, von Samaria an bis gen Beth-Horon, und schlugen ihrer dreitausend und nahmen viel Raub.(dhs) 2Ch 25:13 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς δυνάμεως οὓς ἀπέστρεψεν Αμασιας τοῦ μὴ πορευθῆναι μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰς πόλεμον καὶ ἐπέθεντο ἐπὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα ἀπὸ Σαμαρείας ἕως Βαιθωρων καὶ ἐπάταξαν ἐν αὐτοῖς τρεῖς χιλιάδας καὶ ἐσκύλευσαν σκῦλα πολλά (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:14 ============ 2Ch 25:14 Now after Amaziah came from slaughtering the Edomites, he brought the gods of the sons of Seir, set them up as his gods, bowed down before them and burned incense to them. (nasb) 2Ch 25:15 Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him, "Why have you sought the gods of the people, which could not rescue their own people from your hand?" (nkjv) 2Ch 25:15 Da ergrimmte der Zorn des HERRN über Amazja, und er sandte den Propheten zu ihm; der sprach zu ihm: Warum suchst du die Götter des Volks, die ihr Volk nicht konnten erretten von deiner Hand?(dhs) 2Ch 25:15 καὶ ἐγένετο ὀργὴ κυρίου ἐπὶ Αμασιαν καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτῷ προφήτας καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ τί ἐζήτησας τοὺς θεοὺς τοῦ λαοῦ οἳ οὐκ ἐξείλαντο τὸν λαὸν αὐτῶν ἐκ χειρός σου (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:16 ============ 2Ch 25:16 As he was talking with him, the king said to him, "Have we appointed you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?" Then the prophet stopped and said, "I know that God has planned to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel." (nasb) 2Ch 25:16 So it was, as he talked with him, that the king said to him, "Have we made you the king's counselor? Cease! Why should you be killed?" Then the prophet ceased, and said, "I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not heeded my advice." (nkjv) 2Ch 25:16 Und da er mit ihm redete, sprach er zu ihm: Hat man dich zu des Königs Rat gemacht? Höre auf; warum willst du geschlagen sein? Da hörte der Prophet auf und sprach: Ich merke wohl, daß Gott sich beraten hat, dich zu verderben, weil du solches getan hast und gehorchst meinem Rat nicht.(dhs) 2Ch 25:16 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ λαλῆσαι αὐτῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ μὴ σύμβουλον τοῦ βασιλέως δέδωκά σε πρόσεχε μὴ μαστιγωθῇς καὶ ἐσιώπησεν ὁ προφήτης καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι γινώσκω ὅτι ἐβούλετο ἐπὶ σοὶ τοῦ καταφθεῖραί σε ὅτι ἐποίησας τοῦτο καὶ οὐκ ἐπήκουσας τῆς συμβουλίας μου (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:17 ============ 2Ch 25:17 Then Amaziah king of Judah took counsel and sent to Joash the son of Jehoahaz the son of Jehu, the king of Israel, saying, "Come, let us face each other." (nasb) 2Ch 25:17 Now Amaziah king of Judah asked advice and sent to Joash the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, "Come, let us face one another in battle." (nkjv) 2Ch 25:17 Und Amazja, der König Juda's, ward Rats und sandte hin zu Joas, dem Sohn des Joahas, des Sohnes Jehus, dem König Israels, und ließ ihm sagen: Komm, wir wollen uns miteinander messen!(dhs) 2Ch 25:17 καὶ ἐβουλεύσατο Αμασιας καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς Ιωας υἱὸν Ιωαχαζ υἱοῦ Ιου βασιλέα Ισραηλ λέγων δεῦρο ὀφθῶμεν προσώποις (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:18 ============ 2Ch 25:18 Joash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, "The thorn bush which was in Lebanon sent to the cedar which was in Lebanon, saying, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' But there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon and trampled the thorn bush. (nasb) 2Ch 25:18 And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, "The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, 'Give your daughter to my son as wife'; and a wild beast that was in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle. (nkjv) 2Ch 25:18 Aber Joas, der König Israels, sandte zu Amazja, dem König Juda's, und ließ ihm sagen: Der Dornstrauch im Libanon sandte zur Zeder im Libanon und ließ ihr sagen: Gib deine Tochter meinem Sohn zum Weibe! Aber das Wild im Libanon lief über den Dornstrauch und zertrat ihn.(dhs) 2Ch 25:18 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ιωας βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ πρὸς Αμασιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα λέγων ὁ αχουχ ὁ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς τὴν κέδρον τὴν ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ λέγων δὸς τὴν θυγατέρα σου τῷ υἱῷ μου εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐλεύσεται τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ τὰ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ καὶ ἦλθαν τὰ θηρία καὶ κατεπάτησαν τὸν αχουχ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:19 ============ 2Ch 25:19 You said, 'Behold, you have defeated Edom.' And your heart has become proud in boasting. Now stay at home; for why should you provoke trouble so that you, even you, would fall and Judah with you?" (nasb) 2Ch 25:19 Indeed you say that you have defeated the Edomites, and your heart is lifted up to boast. Stay at home now; why should you meddle with trouble, that you should fall--you and Judah with you?" (nkjv) 2Ch 25:19 Du gedenkst: Siehe, ich habe die Edomiter geschlagen; des überhebt sich dein Herz, und du suchst Ruhm. Nun bleib daheim! Warum ringst du nach Unglück, daß du fallest und Juda mit dir?(dhs) 2Ch 25:19 εἶπας ἰδοὺ ἐπάταξας τὴν Ιδουμαίαν καὶ ἐπαίρει σε ἡ καρδία ἡ βαρεῖα νῦν κάθησο ἐν οἴκῳ σου καὶ ἵνα τί συμβάλλεις ἐν κακίᾳ καὶ πεσῇ σὺ καὶ Ιουδας μετὰ σοῦ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 25:20 ============ 2Ch 25:20 But Amaziah would not listen, for it was from God, that He might deliver them into the hand of Joash because they had sought the gods of Edom. (nasb) 2Ch 25:20 But Amaziah would not heed, for it came from God, that He might give them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought the gods of Edom.
