Today's Date: ======= 2 Chronicles 32:1 ============ 2Ch 32:1 After these acts of faithfulness Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah and besieged the fortified cities, and thought to break into them for himself. (nasb) 2Ch 32:4 Thus many people gathered together who stopped all the springs and the brook that ran through the land, saying, "Why should the kings of Assyria come and find much water?" (nkjv) 2Ch 32:4 Und es versammelte sich ein großes Volk und deckten zu alle Brunnen und den Bach, der mitten durchs Land fließt, und sprachen: Daß die Könige von Assyrien nicht viel Wasser finden, wenn sie kommen.(dhs) 2Ch 32:4 καὶ συνήγαγεν λαὸν πολὺν καὶ ἐνέφραξεν τὰ ὕδατα τῶν πηγῶν καὶ τὸν ποταμὸν τὸν διορίζοντα διὰ τῆς πόλεως λέγων μὴ ἔλθῃ βασιλεὺς Ασσουρ καὶ εὕρῃ ὕδωρ πολὺ καὶ κατισχύσῃ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:5 ============ 2Ch 32:5 And he took courage and rebuilt all the wall that had been broken down and erected towers on it, and built another outside wall and strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in great number. (nasb) 2Ch 32:5 And he strengthened himself, built up all the wall that was broken, raised it up to the towers, and built another wall outside; also he repaired the Millo in the City of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance. (nkjv) 2Ch 32:5 Und er ward getrost und baute alle Mauern, wo sie lückig waren, und machte Türme darauf und baute draußen noch die andere Mauer und befestigte Millo an der Stadt Davids und machte viel Waffen und Schilde(dhs) 2Ch 32:5 καὶ κατίσχυσεν Εζεκιας καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν πᾶν τὸ τεῖχος τὸ κατεσκαμμένον καὶ πύργους καὶ ἔξω προτείχισμα ἄλλο καὶ κατίσχυσεν τὸ ἀνάλημμα πόλεως Δαυιδ καὶ κατεσκεύασεν ὅπλα πολλά (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:6 ============ 2Ch 32:6 He appointed military officers over the people and gathered them to him in the square at the city gate, and spoke encouragingly to them, saying, (nasb) 2Ch 32:6 Then he set military captains over the people, gathered them together to him in the open square of the city gate, and gave them encouragement, saying, (nkjv) 2Ch 32:6 und setzte Hauptleute zum Streit über das Volk und sammelte sie zu sich auf die breite Gasse am Tor der Stadt und redete herzlich mit ihnen und sprach:(dhs) 2Ch 32:6 καὶ ἔθετο ἄρχοντας τοῦ πολέμου ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν καὶ συνήχθησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν πλατεῖαν τῆς πύλης τῆς φάραγγος καὶ ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ καρδίαν αὐτῶν λέγων (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:7 ============ 2Ch 32:7 "Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria nor because of all the horde that is with him; for the one with us is greater than the one with him. (nasb) 2Ch 32:7 "Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. (nkjv) 2Ch 32:7 Seid getrost und frisch, fürchtet euch nicht und zagt nicht vor dem König von Assyrien noch vor all dem Haufen, der bei ihm ist; denn es ist ein Größerer mit uns als mit ihm:(dhs) 2Ch 32:7 ἰσχύσατε καὶ ἀνδρίζεσθε μὴ πτοηθῆτε ἀπὸ προσώπου βασιλέως Ασσουρ καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου παντὸς τοῦ ἔθνους τοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ὅτι μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν πλείονες ἢ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:8 ============ 2Ch 32:8 With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles." (nasb) 2Ch 32:11 Does not Hezekiah persuade you to give yourselves over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, "The Lord our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria"? Were the gods of the nations of the lands able at all to deliver their land from my hand? (nasb) 2Ch 32:13 Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand? (nkjv) 2Ch 32:13 Wißt ihr nicht, was ich und meine Väter getan haben allen Völkern in den Ländern? Haben auch die Götter der Heiden in den Ländern können ihre Länder erretten von meiner Hand?(dhs) 2Ch 32:13 οὐ γνώσεσθε ὅ τι ἐποίησα ἐγὼ καὶ οἱ πατέρες μου πᾶσι τοῖς λαοῖς τῶν χωρῶν μὴ δυνάμενοι ἠδύναντο θεοὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν πάσης τῆς γῆς σῶσαι τὸν λαὸν αὐτῶν ἐκ χειρός μου (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:14 ============ 2Ch 32:14 Who was there among all the gods of those nations which my fathers utterly destroyed who could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand? How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?'" Denn so kein Gott aller Heiden und Königreiche hat sein Volk können von meiner und meiner Väter Hände erretten, so werden euch auch eure Götter nicht erretten können von meiner Hand.(dhs) 2Ch 32:15 νῦν μὴ ἀπατάτω ὑμᾶς Εζεκιας καὶ μὴ πεποιθέναι ὑμᾶς ποιείτω κατὰ ταῦτα καὶ μὴ πιστεύετε αὐτῷ ὅτι οὐ μὴ δύνηται ὁ θεὸς παντὸς ἔθνους καὶ βασιλείας τοῦ σῶσαι τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκ χειρός μου καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς πατέρων μου ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν οὐ μὴ σώσει ὑμᾶς ἐκ χειρός μου (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:16 ============ 2Ch 32:16 His servants spoke further against the Lord God and against His servant Hezekiah. So he returned in shame to his own land. And when he had entered the temple of his god, some of his own children killed him there with the sword. Und da er in seines Gottes Haus ging, fällten ihn daselbst durchs Schwert, die von seinem eigenen Leib gekommen waren.(dhs) 2Ch 32:21 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν κύριος ἄγγελον καὶ ἐξέτριψεν πᾶν δυνατὸν πολεμιστὴν καὶ ἄρχοντα καὶ στρατηγὸν ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ βασιλέως Ασσουρ καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν μετὰ αἰσχύνης προσώπου εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν ἐξελθόντων ἐκ κοιλίας αὐτοῦ κατέβαλον αὐτὸν ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ (lxx) ======= 2 Chronicles 32:22 ============ 2Ch 32:22 So the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.
