Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 51:1 ============ Jer 51:1 Thus says the Lord:" Behold, I am going to arouse against Babylon And against the inhabitants of Leb-kamai The spirit of a destroyer. (nasb) Jer 51:1 Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, Against those who dwell in Leb Kamai, A destroying wind. (nkjv) Jer 51:1 So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich will einen scharfen Wind erwecken wider Babel und wider ihre Einwohner, die sich wider mich gesetzt haben.(dhs) Jer 51:1 ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος πρὸς Ιερεμιαν ἅπασιν τοῖς Ιουδαίοις τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ τοῖς καθημένοις ἐν Μαγδώλῳ καὶ ἐν Ταφνας καὶ ἐν γῇ Παθουρης λέγων (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:2 ============ Jer 51:2 "I will dispatch foreigners to Babylon that they may winnow her And may devastate her land; For on every side they will be opposed to her In the day of her calamity. (nasb) Jer 51:2 And I will send winnowers to Babylon, Who shall winnow her and empty her land. For in the day of doom They shall be against her all around. (nkjv) Jer 51:2 Ich will auch Worfler gen Babel schicken, die sie worfeln sollen und ihr Land ausfegen, die allenthalben um sie sein werden am Tage ihres Unglücks;(dhs) Jer 51:2 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὑμεῖς ἑωράκατε πάντα τὰ κακά ἃ ἐπήγαγον ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα καὶ ἰδού εἰσιν ἔρημοι ἀπὸ ἐνοίκων (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:3 ============ Jer 51:3 "Let not him who bends his bow bend it, Nor let him rise up in his scale-armor; So do not spare her young men; Devote all her army to destruction. (nasb) Jer 51:3 Against her let the archer bend his bow, And lift himself up against her in his armor. Do not spare her young men; Utterly destroy all her army. (nkjv) Jer 51:3 denn ihre Schützen werden nicht schießen, und ihre Geharnischten werden sich nicht wehren können. So verschont nun ihre junge Mannschaft nicht, verbannet all ihr Heer,(dhs) Jer 51:3 ἀπὸ προσώπου πονηρίας αὐτῶν ἧς ἐποίησαν παραπικρᾶναί με πορευθέντες θυμιᾶν θεοῖς ἑτέροις οἷς οὐκ ἔγνωτε (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:4 ============ Jer 51:4 "They will fall down slain in the land of the Chaldeans, And pierced through in their streets." (nasb) Jer 51:4 Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, And those thrust through in her streets. (nkjv) Jer 51:4 daß die Erschlagenen daliegen im Lande der Chaldäer und die Erstochenen auf ihren Gassen!(dhs) Jer 51:4 καὶ ἀπέστειλα πρὸς ὑμᾶς τοὺς παῖδάς μου τοὺς προφήτας ὄρθρου καὶ ἀπέστειλα λέγων μὴ ποιήσητε τὸ πρᾶγμα τῆς μολύνσεως ταύτης ἧς ἐμίσησα (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:5 ============ Jer 51:5 For neither Israel nor Judah has been forsaken By his God, the Lord of hosts, Although their land is full of guilt Before the Holy One of Israel. (nasb) Jer 51:5 For Israel is not forsaken, nor Judah, By his God, the Lord of hosts, Though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel." (nkjv) Jer 51:5 Denn Israel und Juda sollen nicht Witwen von ihrem Gott, dem HERRN Zebaoth, gelassen werden. Denn jener Land hat sich hoch verschuldet am Heiligen in Israel.(dhs) Jer 51:5 καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσάν μου καὶ οὐκ ἔκλιναν τὸ οὖς αὐτῶν ἀποστρέψαι ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν πρὸς τὸ μὴ θυμιᾶν θεοῖς ἑτέροις (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:6 ============ Jer 51:6 Flee from the midst of Babylon, And each of you save his life! Do not be destroyed in her punishment, For this is the Lord's time of vengeance; He is going to render recompense to her. (nasb) Jer 51:6 Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this is the time of the Lord's vengeance; He shall recompense her. (nkjv) Jer 51:6 Fliehet aus Babel, damit ein jeglicher seine Seele errette, daß ihr nicht untergeht in ihrer Missetat! Denn dies ist die Zeit der Rache des HERRN, der ein Vergelter ist und will ihnen bezahlen.(dhs) Jer 51:6 καὶ ἔσταξεν ἡ ὀργή μου καὶ ὁ θυμός μου καὶ ἐξεκαύθη ἐν πόλεσιν Ιουδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐγενήθησαν εἰς ἐρήμωσιν καὶ εἰς ἄβατον ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:7 ============ Jer 51:7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord, Intoxicating all the earth. The nations have drunk of her wine; Therefore the nations are going mad. (nasb) Jer 51:7 Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord's hand, That made all the earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; Therefore the nations are deranged. (nkjv) Jer 51:7 Ein goldener Kelch, der alle Welt trunken gemacht hat, war Babel in der Hand des HERRN; alle Heiden haben von ihrem Wein getrunken, darum sind die Heiden so toll geworden.(dhs) Jer 51:7 καὶ νῦν οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἵνα τί ὑμεῖς ποιεῖτε κακὰ μεγάλα ἐπὶ ψυχαῖς ὑμῶν ἐκκόψαι ὑμῶν ἄνθρωπον καὶ γυναῖκα νήπιον καὶ θηλάζοντα ἐκ μέσου Ιουδα πρὸς τὸ μὴ καταλειφθῆναι ὑμῶν μηδένα (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:8 ============ Jer 51:8 Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken; Wail over her! Bring balm for her pain; Perhaps she may be healed. (nasb) Jer 51:8 Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed. Wail for her! Take balm for her pain; Perhaps she may be healed. (nkjv) Jer 51:8 Wie plötzlich ist Babel gefallen und zerschmettert! Heulet über sie, nehmet auch Salbe zu ihren Wunden, ob sie vielleicht möchte heil werden!(dhs) Jer 51:8 παραπικρᾶναί με ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν θυμιᾶν θεοῖς ἑτέροις ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ εἰς ἣν εἰσήλθατε ἐνοικεῖν ἐκεῖ ἵνα ἐκκοπῆτε καὶ ἵνα γένησθε εἰς κατάραν καὶ εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τῆς γῆς (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:9 ============ Jer 51:9 We applied healing to Babylon, but she was not healed; Forsake her and let us each go to his own country, For her judgment has reached to heaven And towers up to the very skies. (nasb) Jer 51:9 We would have healed Babylon, But she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go everyone to his own country; For her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies. (nkjv) Jer 51:9 Wir heilen Babel; aber sie will nicht heil werden. So laßt sie fahren und laßt uns ein jeglicher in sein Land ziehen! Denn ihre Strafe reicht bis an den Himmel und langt hinauf bis an die Wolken.(dhs) Jer 51:9 μὴ ἐπιλέλησθε ὑμεῖς τῶν κακῶν τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν κακῶν τῶν βασιλέων Ιουδα καὶ τῶν κακῶν τῶν ἀρχόντων ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν κακῶν τῶν γυναικῶν ὑμῶν ὧν ἐποίησαν ἐν γῇ Ιουδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:10 ============ Jer 51:10 The Lord has brought about our vindication; Come and let us recount in Zion The work of the Lord our God! (nasb) Jer 51:10 The Lord has revealed our righteousness. Come and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God. (nkjv) Jer 51:10 Der HERR hat unsre Gerechtigkeit hervorgebracht; kommt, laßt uns zu Zion erzählen die Werke des HERRN, unsers Gottes!(dhs) Jer 51:10 καὶ οὐκ ἐπαύσαντο ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ οὐκ ἀντείχοντο τῶν προσταγμάτων μου ὧν ἔδωκα κατὰ πρόσωπον τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:11 ============ Jer 51:11 Sharpen the arrows, fill the quivers! The Lord has aroused the spirit of the kings of the Medes, Because His purpose is against Babylon to destroy it; For it is the vengeance of the Lord, vengeance for His temple. (nasb) Jer 51:11 Make the arrows bright! Gather the shields! The Lord has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes. For His plan is against Babylon to destroy it, Because it is the vengeance of the Lord, The vengeance for His temple. (nkjv) Jer 51:11 Ja, schärft nun die Pfeile wohl und rüstet die Schilde! Der HERR hat den Mut der Könige in Medien erweckt; denn seine Gedanken stehen wider Babel, daß er sie verderbe. Denn dies ist die Rache des HERRN, die Rache seines Tempels.(dhs) Jer 51:11 διὰ τοῦτο οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐφίστημι τὸ πρόσωπόν μου (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:12 ============ Jer 51:12 Lift up a signal against the walls of Babylon; Post a strong guard, Station sentries, Place men in ambush! For the Lord has both purposed and performed What He spoke concerning the inhabitants of Babylon. (nasb) Jer 51:12 Set up the standard on the walls of Babylon; Make the guard strong, Set up the watchmen, Prepare the ambushes. For the Lord has both devised and done What He spoke against the inhabitants of Babylon. (nkjv) Jer 51:12 Ja, steckt nun Panier auf die Mauern zu Babel, nehmt die Wache ein, setzt Wächter, bestellt die Hut! denn der HERR gedenkt etwas und wird auch tun, was er wider die Einwohner zu Babel geredet hat.(dhs) Jer 51:12 τοῦ ἀπολέσαι πάντας τοὺς καταλοίπους τοὺς ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ πεσοῦνται ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῷ ἐκλείψουσιν ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου καὶ ἔσονται εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν καὶ εἰς ἀπώλειαν καὶ εἰς κατάραν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:13 ============ Jer 51:13 O you who dwell by many waters, Abundant in treasures, Your end has come, The measure of your end. (nkjv) Jer 51:13 Die du an großen Wassern wohnst und große Schätze hast, dein Ende ist gekommen, und dein Geiz ist aus!(dhs) Jer 51:13 καὶ ἐπισκέψομαι ἐπὶ τοὺς καθημένους ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ὡς ἐπεσκεψάμην ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῷ καὶ ἐν θανάτῳ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:14 ============ Jer 51:14 The Lord of hosts has sworn by Himself: "Surely I will fill you with a population like locusts, And they will cry out with shouts of victory over you." (nasb) Jer 51:14 The Lord of hosts has sworn by Himself: "Surely I will fill you with men, as with locusts, And they shall lift up a shout against you." (nkjv) Jer 51:14 Der HERR Zebaoth hat bei seiner Seele geschworen: Ich will dich mit Menschen füllen, als wären's Käfer; die sollen dir ein Liedlein singen!(dhs) Jer 51:14 καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σεσῳσμένος οὐθεὶς τῶν ἐπιλοίπων Ιουδα τῶν παροικούντων ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι εἰς γῆν Ιουδα ἐφ᾽ ἣν αὐτοὶ ἐλπίζουσιν ταῖς ψυχαῖς αὐτῶν τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι ἐκεῖ οὐ μὴ ἐπιστρέψωσιν ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἀνασεσῳσμένοι (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:15 ============ Jer 51:15 It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom, And by His understanding He stretched out the heavens. (nkjv) Jer 51:15 Er hat die Erde durch seine Kraft gemacht und den Weltkreis durch seine Weisheit bereitet und den Himmel ausgebreitet durch seinen Verstand.(dhs) Jer 51:15 καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν τῷ Ιερεμια πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ γνόντες ὅτι θυμιῶσιν αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν θεοῖς ἑτέροις καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ γυναῖκες συναγωγὴ μεγάλη καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς οἱ καθήμενοι ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἐν Παθουρη λέγοντες (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:16 ============ Jer 51:16 When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain And brings forth the wind from His storehouses. (nasb) Jer 51:16 When He utters His voice-- There is a multitude of waters in the heavens: "He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries." (nkjv) Jer 51:16 Wenn er donnert, so ist da Wasser die Menge unter dem Himmel; er zieht die Nebel auf vom Ende der Erde; er macht die Blitze im Regen und läßt den Wind kommen aus seinen Vorratskammern.(dhs) Jer 51:16 ὁ λόγος ὃν ἐλάλησας πρὸς ἡμᾶς τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου οὐκ ἀκούσομέν σου (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:17 ============ Jer 51:17 All mankind is stupid, devoid of knowledge; Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, For his molten images are deceitful, And there is no breath in them. (nasb) Jer 51:17 Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge; Every metalsmith is put to shame by the carved image; For his molded image is falsehood, And there is no breath in them. (nkjv) Jer 51:17 Alle Menschen sind Narren mit ihrer Kunst, und die Goldschmiede bestehen mit Schanden mit ihren Bildern; denn ihre Götzen sind Trügerei und haben kein Leben.(dhs) Jer 51:17 ὅτι ποιοῦντες ποιήσομεν πάντα τὸν λόγον ὃς ἐξελεύσεται ἐκ τοῦ στόματος ἡμῶν θυμιᾶν τῇ βασιλίσσῃ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ σπένδειν αὐτῇ σπονδάς καθὰ ἐποιήσαμεν ἡμεῖς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς ἡμῶν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ἡμῶν ἐν πόλεσιν Ιουδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐπλήσθημεν ἄρτων καὶ ἐγενόμεθα χρηστοὶ καὶ κακὰ οὐκ εἴδομεν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:18 ============ Jer 51:18 They are worthless, a work of mockery; In the time of their punishment they will perish. (nasb) Jer 51:20 "You are My battle-ax and weapons of war: For with you I will break the nation in pieces; With you I will destroy kingdoms; (nkjv) Jer 51:20 Du bist mein Hammer, meine Kriegswaffe; durch dich zerschmettere ich die Heiden und zerstöre die Königreiche;(dhs) Jer 51:20 καὶ εἶπεν Ιερεμιας παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τοῖς δυνατοῖς καὶ ταῖς γυναιξὶν καὶ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τοῖς ἀποκριθεῖσιν αὐτῷ λόγους λέγων (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:21 ============ Jer 51:21 "With you I shatter the horse and his rider, And with you I shatter the chariot and its rider, (nasb) Jer 51:21 With you I will break in pieces the horse and its rider; With you I will break in pieces the chariot and its rider; (nkjv) Jer 51:21 durch dich zerschmettere ich Rosse und Reiter und zerschmettere Wagen und Fuhrmänner;(dhs) Jer 51:21 οὐχὶ τοῦ θυμιάματος οὗ ἐθυμιάσατε ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν Ιουδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ιερουσαλημ ὑμεῖς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς ὑμῶν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ὑμῶν καὶ ὁ λαὸς τῆς γῆς ἐμνήσθη κύριος καὶ ἀνέβη ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:22 ============ Jer 51:22 And with you I shatter man and woman, And with you I shatter old man and youth, And with you I shatter young man and virgin, (nasb) Jer 51:22 With you also I will break in pieces man and woman; With you I will break in pieces old and young; With you I will break in pieces the young man and the maiden; (nkjv) Jer 51:22 durch dich zerschmettere ich Männer und Weiber und zerschmettere Alte und Junge und zerschmettere Jünglinge und Jungfrauen;(dhs) Jer 51:22 καὶ οὐκ ἠδύνατο κύριος ἔτι φέρειν ἀπὸ προσώπου πονηρίας πραγμάτων ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τῶν βδελυγμάτων ὧν ἐποιήσατε καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ γῆ ὑμῶν εἰς ἐρήμωσιν καὶ εἰς ἄβατον καὶ εἰς ἀρὰν ὡς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:23 ============ Jer 51:23 And with you I shatter the shepherd and his flock, And with you I shatter the farmer and his team, And with you I shatter governors and prefects. (nasb) Jer 51:23 With you also I will break in pieces the shepherd and his flock; With you I will break in pieces the farmer and his yoke of oxen; And with you I will break in pieces governors and rulers. (nkjv) Jer 51:23 durch dich zerschmettere ich Hirten und Herden und zerschmettere Bauern und Joche und zerschmettere Fürsten und Herren.(dhs) Jer 51:23 ἀπὸ προσώπου ὧν ἐθυμιᾶτε καὶ ὧν ἡμάρτετε τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ οὐκ ἠκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου καὶ ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ νόμῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τοῖς μαρτυρίοις αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐπορεύθητε καὶ ἐπελάβετο ὑμῶν τὰ κακὰ ταῦτα (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:24 ============ Jer 51:24 "But I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea for all their evil that they have done in Zion before your eyes," declares the Lord. (nasb) Jer 51:24 "And I will repay Babylon And all the inhabitants of Chaldea For all the evil they have done In Zion in your sight," says the Lord. (nkjv) Jer 51:24 Und ich will Babel und allen Einwohnern in Chaldäa vergelten alle ihre Bosheit, die sie an Zion begangen haben, vor euren Augen, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 51:24 καὶ εἶπεν Ιερεμιας τῷ λαῷ καὶ ταῖς γυναιξίν ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον κυρίου (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:25 ============ Jer 51:25 "Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, Who destroys the whole earth," declares the Lord, "And I will stretch out My hand against you, And roll you down from the crags, And I will make you a burnt out mountain. (nasb) Jer 51:25 "Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, Who destroys all the earth," says the Lord. "And I will stretch out My hand against you, Roll you down from the rocks, And make you a burnt mountain. (nkjv) Jer 51:25 Siehe, ich will an dich, du schädlicher Berg, der du alle Welt verderbest, spricht der HERR; ich will meine Hand über dich strecken und dich von den Felsen herabwälzen und will einen verbrannten Berg aus dir machen,(dhs) Jer 51:25 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὑμεῖς γυναῖκες τῷ στόματι ὑμῶν ἐλαλήσατε καὶ ταῖς χερσὶν ὑμῶν ἐπληρώσατε λέγουσαι ποιοῦσαι ποιήσομεν τὰς ὁμολογίας ἡμῶν ἃς ὡμολογήσαμεν θυμιᾶν τῇ βασιλίσσῃ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ σπένδειν αὐτῇ σπονδάς ἐμμείνασαι ἐνεμείνατε ταῖς ὁμολογίαις ὑμῶν καὶ ποιοῦσαι ἐποιήσατε (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 51:26 ============ Jer 51:26 "They will not take from you even a stone for a corner Nor a stone for foundations, But you will be desolate forever," declares the Lord. (nasb) Jer 51:26 They shall not take from you a stone for a corner Nor a stone for a foundation, But you shall be desolate forever," says the Lord.
