(nas) Act 24:1 Now after five days Ananias the high priest came down with the elders and a certain orator named Tertullus. These gave evidence to the governor against Paul. (Nestle-Aland) Act 24:13 ουτε παραστησαι {VAR1: με } δυνανται περι ων νυν κατηγορουσιν μου (Textus Receptus) ======= Acts 24:14 ============ Act 24:14 "But this I admit to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect I do serve the God of our fathers, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets; (nas) Act 24:14 But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. But there were some Jews from Asia-- (nas) Act 24:18 in the midst of which some Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with a mob nor with tumult. (Nestle-Aland) Act 24:21 η περι μιας ταυτης φωνης ης εκραξα εστως εν αυτοις οτι περι αναστασεως νεκρων εγω κρινομαι σημερον υφ υμων (Textus Receptus) ======= Acts 24:22 ============ Act 24:22 But Felix, having a more exact knowledge about the Way, put them off, saying, "When Lysias the commander comes down, I will decide your case." (nas) Act 24:22 But when Felix heard these things, having more accurate knowledge of the Way, he adjourned the proceedings and said, "When Lysias the commander comes down, I will make a decision on your case." (nkjv) Act 24:22 Da aber Felix solches hörte, zog er sie hin; denn er wußte gar wohl um diesen Weg und sprach: Wenn Lysias, der Hauptmann, herabkommt, so will ich eure Sache erkunden.(dhs) Act 24:22 ἀνεβάλετο δὲ αὐτοὺς ὁ φῆλιξ, ἀκριβέστερον εἰδὼς τὰ περὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ, εἴπας, ὅταν λυσίας ὁ χιλίαρχος καταβῇ διαγνώσομαι τὰ καθ᾽ ὑμᾶς, (Nestle-Aland) Act 24:22 ακουσας δε ταυτα ο φηλιξ ανεβαλετο αυτους ακριβεστερον ειδως τα περι της οδου ειπων οταν λυσιας ο χιλιαρχος καταβη διαγνωσομαι τα καθ υμας (Textus Receptus) ======= Acts 24:23 ============ Act 24:23 Then he gave orders to the centurion for him to be kept in custody and yet have some freedom, and not to prevent any of his friends from ministering to him. (nas) Act 24:23 So he commanded the centurion to keep Paul and to let him have liberty, and told him not to forbid any of his friends to provide for or visit him. (nkjv) Act 24:23 Er befahl aber dem Unterhauptmann, Paulus zu behalten und lassen Ruhe haben und daß er niemand von den Seinen wehrte, ihm zu dienen oder zu ihm zu kommen.(dhs) Act 24:23 διαταξάμενος τῶ ἑκατοντάρχῃ τηρεῖσθαι αὐτὸν ἔχειν τε ἄνεσιν καὶ μηδένα κωλύειν τῶν ἰδίων αὐτοῦ ὑπηρετεῖν αὐτῶ. (Nestle-Aland) Act 24:23 διαταξαμενος τε τω εκατονταρχη τηρεισθαι τον παυλον εχειν τε ανεσιν και μηδενα κωλυειν των ιδιων αυτου υπηρετειν η προσερχεσθαι αυτω (Textus Receptus) ======= Acts 24:24 ============ Act 24:24 But some days later Felix arrived with Drusilla, his wife who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. (nas) Act 24:24 And after some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. (nkjv) Act 24:24 Nach etlichen Tagen aber kam Felix mit seinem Weibe Drusilla, die eine Jüdin war, und forderte Paulus und hörte ihn von dem Glauben an Christus.(dhs) Act 24:24 μετὰ δὲ ἡμέρας τινὰς παραγενόμενος ὁ φῆλιξ σὺν δρουσίλλῃ τῇ ἰδίᾳ γυναικὶ οὔσῃ ἰουδαίᾳ μετεπέμψατο τὸν παῦλον καὶ ἤκουσεν αὐτοῦ περὶ τῆς εἰς χριστὸν ἰησοῦν πίστεως. (Nestle-Aland) Act 24:24 μετα δε ημερας τινας παραγενομενος ο φηλιξ συν δρουσιλλη τη γυναικι αυτου ουση ιουδαια μετεπεμψατο τον παυλον και ηκουσεν αυτου περι της εις χριστον πιστεως (Textus Receptus) ======= Acts 24:25 ============ Act 24:25 But as he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and said, "Go away for the present, and when I find time I will summon you." (nas) Act 24:25 Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, "Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you." (nkjv) Act 24:25 Da aber Paulus redete von der Gerechtigkeit und von der Keuschheit und von dem Zukünftigen Gericht, erschrak Felix und antwortete: Gehe hin auf diesmal; wenn ich gelegene Zeit habe, will ich dich herrufen lassen.(dhs) Act 24:25 διαλεγομένου δὲ αὐτοῦ περὶ δικαιοσύνης καὶ ἐγκρατείας καὶ τοῦ κρίματος τοῦ μέλλοντος ἔμφοβος γενόμενος ὁ φῆλιξ ἀπεκρίθη, τὸ νῦν ἔχον πορεύου, καιρὸν δὲ μεταλαβὼν μετακαλέσομαί σε· (Nestle-Aland) Act 24:25 διαλεγομενου δε αυτου περι δικαιοσυνης και εγκρατειας και του κριματος του μελλοντος εσεσθαι εμφοβος γενομενος ο φηλιξ απεκριθη το νυν εχον πορευου καιρον δε μεταλαβων μετακαλεσομαι σε (Textus Receptus) ======= Acts 24:26 ============ Act 24:26 At the same time too, he was hoping that money would be given him by Paul; therefore he also used to send for him quite often and converse with him. (nas) Act 24:26 Meanwhile he also hoped that money would be given him by Paul, that he might release him. Therefore he sent for him more often and conversed with him.
