Or would that we had died in this wilderness!(nasb) Num 14:2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!(kjv) Num 14:2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:3 ============ Num 14:3 Why is the Lord bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will become plunder; would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?"(nasb) Num 14:3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?(kjv) Num 14:3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?(nasb) Num 14:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?(kjv) Num 14:11 Then the Lord said to Moses: "How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:12 ============ Num 14:12 I will smite them with pestilence and dispossess them, and I will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they."(nasb) Num 14:12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.(kjv) Num 14:12 I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:13 ============ Num 14:13 But Moses said to the Lord, "Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for by Your strength You brought up this people from their midst,(nasb) Num 14:13 And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)(kjv) Num 14:13 And Moses said to the Lord: "Then the Egyptians will hear it, for by Your might You brought these people up from among them,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:14 ============ Num 14:14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, O Lord, are in the midst of this people, for You, O Lord, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.(nasb) Num 14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.(kjv) Num 14:14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:15 ============ Num 14:15 Now if You slay this people as one man, then the nations who have heard of Your fame will say,(nasb) Num 14:15 Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,(kjv) Num 14:15 Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of Your fame will speak, saying,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:16 ============ Num 14:16 'Because the Lord could not bring this people into the land which He promised them by oath, therefore He slaughtered them in the wilderness.'(nasb) Num 14:16 Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.(kjv) Num 14:16 'Because the Lord was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to give them, therefore He killed them in the wilderness.'(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:17 ============ Num 14:17 But now, I pray, let the power of the Lord be great, just as You have declared,(nasb) Num 14:17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my LORD be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,(kjv) Num 14:17 And now, I pray, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken, saying,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:18 ============ Num 14:18 'The Lord is slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations.'(nasb) Num 14:18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.(kjv) Num 14:18 'The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.'(nkjv) ======= Numbers 14:19 ============ Num 14:19 Pardon, I pray, the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of Your lovingkindness, just as You also have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now." I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.(kjv) Num 14:27 "How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me?
