So you shall possess their land, as the Lord your God promised you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:6 ============ Jos 23:6 Be very firm, then, to keep and do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, so that you may not turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left,(nasb) Jos 23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;(kjv) Jos 23:6 Therefore be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, lest you turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left,(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:7 ============ Jos 23:7 so that you will not associate with these nations, these which remain among you, or mention the name of their gods, or make anyone swear by them, or serve them, or bow down to them.(nasb) Jos 23:7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:(kjv) Jos 23:7 and lest you go among these nations, these who remain among you. You shall not make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them,(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:8 ============ Jos 23:8 But you are to cling to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.(nasb) Jos 23:8 But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.(kjv) Jos 23:8 but you shall hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:9 ============ Jos 23:9 For the Lord has driven out great and strong nations from before you; and as for you, no man has stood before you to this day.(nasb) Jos 23:9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.(kjv) Jos 23:9 For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:10 ============ Jos 23:10 One of your men puts to flight a thousand, for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, just as He promised you.(nasb) Jos 23:10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.(kjv) Jos 23:10 One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:11 ============ Jos 23:11 So take diligent heed to yourselves to love the Lord your God.(nasb) Jos 23:11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.(kjv) Jos 23:11 Therefore take careful heed to yourselves, that you love the Lord your God.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:12 ============ Jos 23:12 For if you ever go back and cling to the rest of these nations, these which remain among you, and intermarry with them, so that you associate with them and they with you,(nasb) Jos 23:12 Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:(kjv) Jos 23:12 Or else, if indeed you do go back, and cling to the remnant of these nations--these that remain among you--and make marriages with them, and go in to them and they to you,(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:13 ============ Jos 23:13 know with certainty that the Lord your God will not continue to drive these nations out from before you; but they will be a snare and a trap to you, and a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the Lord your God has given you.(nasb) Jos 23:13 Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.(kjv) Jos 23:13 know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations from before you. But they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:14 ============ Jos 23:14 "Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, not one of them has failed.(nasb) Jos 23:14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.(kjv) Jos 23:14 "Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:15 ============ Jos 23:15 It shall come about that just as all the good words which the Lord your God spoke to you have come upon you, so the Lord will bring upon you all the threats, until He has destroyed you from off this good land which the Lord your God has given you.(nasb) Jos 23:15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.(kjv) Jos 23:15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all the good things have come upon you which the Lord your God promised you, so the Lord will bring upon you all harmful things, until He has destroyed you from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 23:16 ============ Jos 23:16 When you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, then the anger of the Lord will burn against you, and you will perish quickly from off the good land which He has given you."
