"(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:8 ============ Jdg 13:8 Then Manoah entreated the Lord and said, "O Lord, please let the man of God whom You have sent come to us again that he may teach us what to do for the boy who is to be born."(nasb) Jdg 13:8 Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.(kjv) Jdg 13:8 Then Manoah prayed to the Lord, and said, "O my Lord, please let the Man of God whom You sent come to us again and teach us what we shall do for the child who will be born."(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:9 ============ Jdg 13:9 God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she was sitting in the field, but Manoah her husband was not with her.(nasb) Jdg 13:9 And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.(kjv) Jdg 13:9 And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the Angel of God came to the woman again as she was sitting in the field; but Manoah her husband was not with her.(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:10 ============ Jdg 13:10 So the woman ran quickly and told her husband, "Behold, the man who came the other day has appeared to me."(nasb) Jdg 13:10 And the woman made haste, and ran, and shewed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.(kjv) Jdg 13:10 Then the woman ran in haste and told her husband, and said to him, "Look, the Man who came to me the other day has just now appeared to me!"(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:11 ============ Jdg 13:11 Then Manoah arose and followed his wife, and when he came to the man he said to him, "Are you the man who spoke to the woman?" And he said, "I am."(nasb) Jdg 13:11 And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am.(kjv) Jdg 13:11 So Manoah arose and followed his wife. When he came to the Man, he said to Him, "Are You the Man who spoke to this woman?" How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?(kjv) Jdg 13:12 Manoah said, "Now let Your words come to pass! What will be the boy's rule of life, and his work?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:13 ============ Jdg 13:13 So the angel of the Lord said to Manoah, "Let the woman pay attention to all that I said.(nasb) Jdg 13:13 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.(kjv) Jdg 13:13 So the Angel of the Lord said to Manoah, "Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful.(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:14 ============ Jdg 13:14 She should not eat anything that comes from the vine nor drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; let her observe all that I commanded."(nasb) Jdg 13:14 She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.(kjv) Jdg 13:14 She may not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor may she drink wine or similar drink, nor eat anything unclean. All that I commanded her let her observe."(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:15 ============ Jdg 13:15 Then Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, "Please let us detain you so that we may prepare a young goat for you."(nasb) Jdg 13:15 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.(kjv) Jdg 13:15 Then Manoah said to the Angel of the Lord, "Please let us detain You, and we will prepare a young goat for You."(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:16 ============ Jdg 13:16 The angel of the Lord said to Manoah, "Though you detain me, I will not eat your food, but if you prepare a burnt offering, then offer it to the Lord." For Manoah did not know that he was the angel of the Lord.(nasb) Jdg 13:16 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.(kjv) Jdg 13:16 And the Angel of the Lord said to Manoah, "Though you detain Me, I will not eat your food. But if you offer a burnt offering, you must offer it to the Lord." (For Manoah did not know He was the Angel of the Lord.)(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:17 ============ Jdg 13:17 Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, "What is your name, so that when your words come to pass, we may honor you?"(nasb) Jdg 13:17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour?(kjv) Jdg 13:17 Then Manoah said to the Angel of the Lord, "What is Your name, that when Your words come to pass we may honor You?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:18 ============ Jdg 13:18 But the angel of the Lord said to him, "Why do you ask my name, seeing it is wonderful?"(nasb) Jdg 13:18 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?(kjv) Jdg 13:18 And the Angel of the Lord said to him, "Why do you ask My name, seeing it is wonderful?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:19 ============ Jdg 13:19 So Manoah took the young goat with the grain offering and offered it on the rock to the Lord, and He performed wonders while Manoah and his wife looked on.(nasb) Jdg 13:19 So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.(kjv) Jdg 13:19 So Manoah took the young goat with the grain offering, and offered it upon the rock to the Lord. And He did a wondrous thing while Manoah and his wife looked on--(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:20 ============ Jdg 13:20 For it came about when the flame went up from the altar toward heaven, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar. When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell on their faces to the ground.(nasb) Jdg 13:20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.(kjv) Jdg 13:20 it happened as the flame went up toward heaven from the altar--the Angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar! When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell on their faces to the ground.(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:21 ============ Jdg 13:21 Now the angel of the Lord did not appear to Manoah or his wife again. Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of the Lord.(nasb) Jdg 13:21 But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.(kjv) Jdg 13:21 When the Angel of the Lord appeared no more to Manoah and his wife, then Manoah knew that He was the Angel of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:22 ============ Jdg 13:22 So Manoah said to his wife, "We will surely die, for we have seen God."(nasb) Jdg 13:22 And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.(kjv) Jdg 13:22 And Manoah said to his wife, "We shall surely die, because we have seen God!"(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:23 ============ Jdg 13:23 But his wife said to him, "If the Lord had desired to kill us, He would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things, nor would He have let us hear things like this at this time."(nasb) Jdg 13:23 But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.(kjv) Jdg 13:23 But his wife said to him, "If the Lord had desired to kill us, He would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things, nor would He have told us such things as these at this time."(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:24 ============ Jdg 13:24 Then the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson; and the child grew up and the Lord blessed him.(nasb) Jdg 13:24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.(kjv) Jdg 13:24 So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him.(nkjv) ======= Judges 13:25 ============ Jdg 13:25 And the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him in Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.
