Then the children of Israel said, "Tell us, how did this wicked deed happen?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 20:4 ============ Jdg 20:4 So the Levite, the husband of the woman who was murdered, answered and said, "I came with my concubine to spend the night at Gibeah which belongs to Benjamin.(nasb) Jdg 20:4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongeth to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.(kjv) Jdg 20:4 So the Levite, the husband of the woman who was murdered, answered and said, "My concubine and I went into Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin, to spend the night.(nkjv) ======= Judges 20:5 ============ Jdg 20:5 But the men of Gibeah rose up against me and surrounded the house at night because of me. They intended to kill me; instead, they ravished my concubine so that she died.(nasb) Jdg 20:5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.(kjv) Jdg 20:5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and surrounded the house at night because of me. But the sons of Benjamin would not listen to the voice of their brothers, the sons of Israel.(nasb) Jdg 20:13 Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.(kjv) Jdg 20:13 Now therefore, deliver up the men, the perverted men who are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death and remove the evil from Israel!"
