Then he said:(nkjv) ======= Acts 22:3 ============ Act 22:3 "I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated under Gamaliel, strictly according to the law of our fathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today. And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.(kjv) Act 22:10 So I said, 'What shall I do, Lord?' And Paul said, "But I was actually born a citizen."(nasb) Act 22:28 And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.(kjv) Act 22:28 The commander answered, "With a large sum I obtained this citizenship." And Paul said, "But I was born a citizen."(nkjv) ======= Acts 22:29 ============ Act 22:29 Therefore those who were about to examine him immediately let go of him; and the commander also was afraid when he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had put him in chains.
