Und Jona war im Leibe des Fisches drei Tage und drei Nächte.(dhs) 1 ׃2 וַיְמַ֤ן יְהוָה֙ דָּ֣ג גָּד֔וֹל לִבְלֹ֖עַ אֶת־יוֹנָ֑ה וַיְהִ֤י יוֹנָה֙ בִּמְעֵ֣י הַדָּ֔ג שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה יָמִ֖ים וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה לֵילֽוֹת׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 1:17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 2:1 ============ Jon 2:1 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish, (nasb-1995) Jon 2:1 καὶ προσηύξατο Ιωνας πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας τοῦ κήτους (lxx) Jon 2:2 Et oravit Jonas ad Dominum Deum suum de ventre piscis,(Vulgate) Jon 2:1 Und Jona betete zu dem HERRN, seinem Gott, im Leibe des Fisches.(dhs) 2 ׃2 וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֣ל יוֹנָ֔ה אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו מִמְּעֵ֖י הַדָּגָֽה׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:1 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish's belly. ======= Jonah 2:2 ============ Jon 2:2 and he said, "I called out of my distress to the Lord, And He answered me. I cried for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice. (nasb-1995) Jon 2:2 καὶ εἶπεν ἐβόησα ἐν θλίψει μου πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν μου καὶ εἰσήκουσέν μου ἐκ κοιλίας ᾅδου κραυγῆς μου ἤκουσας φωνῆς μου (lxx) Jon 2:3 et dixit: [Clamavi de tribulatione mea ad Dominum, et exaudivit me; de ventre inferi clamavi, et exaudisti vocem meam.(Vulgate) Jon 2:2 Und sprach: Ich rief zu dem HERRN in meiner Angst, und er antwortete mir; ich schrie aus dem Bauche der Hölle, und du hörtest meine Stimme.(dhs) 3 ׃2 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר קָ֠רָאתִי מִצָּ֥רָה לִ֛י אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֑נִי מִבֶּ֧טֶן שְׁא֛וֹל שִׁוַּ֖עְתִּי שָׁמַ֥עְתָּ קוֹלִֽי׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:2 And he said: "I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, And He answered me. "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. ======= Jonah 2:3 ============ Jon 2:3 "For You had cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the current engulfed me. All Your breakers and billows passed over me. (nasb-1995) Jon 2:3 ἀπέρριψάς με εἰς βάθη καρδίας θαλάσσης καὶ ποταμοί με ἐκύκλωσαν πάντες οἱ μετεωρισμοί σου καὶ τὰ κύματά σου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ διῆλθον (lxx) Jon 2:4 Et projecisti me in profundum in corde maris, et flumen circumdedit me: omnes gurgites tui, et fluctus tui super me transierunt.(Vulgate) Jon 2:3 Du warfest mich in die Tiefe mitten im Meer, daß die Fluten mich umgaben; alle deine Wogen und Wellen gingen über mich,(dhs) 4 ׃2 וַתַּשְׁלִיכֵ֤נִי מְצוּלָה֙ בִּלְבַ֣ב יַמִּ֔ים וְנָהָ֖ר יְסֹבְבֵ֑נִי כָּל־מִשְׁבָּרֶ֥יךָ וְגַלֶּ֖יךָ עָלַ֥י עָבָֽרוּ׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:3 For You cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the floods surrounded me; All Your billows and Your waves passed over me. ======= Jonah 2:4 ============ Jon 2:4 "So I said, 'I have been expelled from Your sight. Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.'(nasb-1995) Jon 2:4 καὶ ἐγὼ εἶπα ἀπῶσμαι ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν σου ἆρα προσθήσω τοῦ ἐπιβλέψαι πρὸς τὸν ναὸν τὸν ἅγιόν σου (lxx) Jon 2:5 Et ego dixi: Abjectus sum a conspectu oculorum tuorum; verumtamen rursus videbo templum sanctum tuum.(Vulgate) Jon 2:4 daß ich gedachte, ich wäre von deinen Augen verstoßen, ich würde deinen heiligen Tempel nicht mehr sehen.(dhs) 5 ׃2 וַאֲנִ֣י אָמַ֔רְתִּי נִגְרַ֖שְׁתִּי מִנֶּ֣גֶד עֵינֶ֑יךָ אַ֚ךְ אוֹסִ֣יף לְהַבִּ֔יט אֶל־הֵיכַ֖ל קָדְשֶֽׁךָ׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:4 Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.' ======= Jonah 2:5 ============ Jon 2:5 "Water encompassed me to the point of death. The great deep engulfed me, Weeds were wrapped around my head. (nasb-1995) Jon 2:5 περιεχύθη ὕδωρ μοι ἕως ψυχῆς ἄβυσσος ἐκύκλωσέν με ἐσχάτη ἔδυ ἡ κεφαλή μου εἰς σχισμὰς ὀρέων (lxx) Jon 2:6 Circumdederunt me aquæ usque ad animam: abyssus vallavit me, pelagus operuit caput meum.(Vulgate) Jon 2:5 Wasser umgaben mich bis an mein Leben, die Tiefe umringte mich; Schilf bedeckte mein Haupt.(dhs) 6 ׃2 אֲפָפ֤וּנִי מַ֙יִם֙ עַד־נֶ֔פֶשׁ תְּה֖וֹם יְסֹבְבֵ֑נִי ס֖וּף חָב֥וּשׁ לְרֹאשִֽׁי׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:5 The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. ======= Jonah 2:6 ============ Jon 2:6 "I descended to the roots of the mountains. The earth with its bars was around me forever, But You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God. (nasb-1995) Jon 2:7 ἐν τῷ ἐκλείπειν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ τὴν ψυχήν μου τοῦ κυρίου ἐμνήσθην καὶ ἔλθοι πρὸς σὲ ἡ προσευχή μου εἰς ναὸν ἅγιόν σου (lxx) Jon 2:8 Cum angustiaretur in me anima mea, Domini recordatus sum: ut veniat ad te oratio mea, ad templum sanctum tuum.(Vulgate) Jon 2:7 Da meine Seele bei mir verzagte, gedachte ich an den HERRN; und mein Gebet kam zu dir in deinen heiligen Tempel.(dhs) 8 ׃2 בְּהִתְעַטֵּ֤ף עָלַי֙ נַפְשִׁ֔י אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה זָכָ֑רְתִּי וַתָּב֤וֹא אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ תְּפִלָּתִ֔י אֶל־הֵיכַ֖ל קָדְשֶֽׁךָ׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:7 "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. ======= Jonah 2:8 ============ Jon 2:8 "Those who regard vain idols Forsake their faithfulness, (nasb-1995) Jon 2:8 φυλασσόμενοι μάταια καὶ ψευδῆ ἔλεος αὐτῶν ἐγκατέλιπον (lxx) Jon 2:9 Qui custodiunt vanitates frustra, misericordiam suam derelinquunt.(Vulgate) Jon 2:8 Die da halten an dem Nichtigen, verlassen ihre Gnade.(dhs) 9 ׃2 מְשַׁמְּרִ֖ים הַבְלֵי־שָׁ֑וְא חַסְדָּ֖ם יַעֲזֹֽבוּ׃ Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:8 "Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy. ======= Jonah 2:9 ============ Jon 2:9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is from the Lord."(nasb-1995) Jon 2:9 ἐγὼ δὲ μετὰ φωνῆς αἰνέσεως καὶ ἐξομολογήσεως θύσω σοι ὅσα ηὐξάμην ἀποδώσω σοι σωτηρίου τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) Jon 2:10 Ego autem in voce laudis immolabo tibi: quæcumque vovi, reddam pro salute Domino.](Vulgate) Jon 2:9 Ich aber will mit Dank dir opfern, mein Gelübde will ich bezahlen; denn die Hilfe ist des HERRN.(dhs) 10 ׃2 וַאֲנִ֗י בְּק֤וֹל תּוֹדָה֙ אֶזְבְּחָה־לָּ֔ךְ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָדַ֖רְתִּי אֲשַׁלֵּ֑מָה יְשׁוּעָ֖תָה לַיהוָֽה׃ ס Jonah-(Hebrew) Jon 2:9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed.
