So the plague on the sons of Israel was checked.(nasb) Num 25:8 ingressus est post virum Israëlitem in lupanar, et perfodit ambos simul, virum scilicet et mulierem in locis genitalibus. Cessavitque plaga a filiis Israël:(vulgate) Números 25:8 Y fue tras el varón de Israel a la tienda, y los alanceó a ambos, al varón de Israel, y a la mujer por su vientre. Y cesó la mortandad de los hijos de Israel.(E) Nombres 25:8 Il suivit l'homme d'Israël dans sa tente, et il les perça tous les deux, l'homme d'Israël, puis la femme, par le bas-ventre. Et la plaie s'arrêta parmi les enfants d'Israël.(F) Num 25:8 und ging dem israelitischen Mann nach hinein in die Kammer und durchstach sie beide, den israelitischen Mann und das Weib, durch ihren Bauch. Da hörte die Plage auf von den Kindern Israel.(D) Num 25:8 εἰσῆλθεν ὀπίσω τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ Ισραηλίτου εἰς τὴν κάμινον καὶ ἀπεκέντησεν ἀμφοτέρους τόν τε ἄνθρωπον τὸν Ισραηλίτην καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα διὰ τῆς μήτρας αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπαύσατο ἡ πληγὴ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ισραηλ(lxx) Num 25:8 and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body.
