Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 7:1 ============ Isa 7:1 Now it came about in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not conquer it.(nasb) Isa 7:1 Et factum est in diebus Achaz, filii Joathan, filii Oziæ, regis Juda, ascendit Rasin, rex Syriæ, et Phacee, filius Romeliæ, rex Israël, in Jerusalem, ad præliandum contra eam: et non potuerunt(vulgate) Isaías 7:1 Aconteció en los días de Acaz, hijo de Jotam, hijo de Uzías, rey de Judá, que Rezín, rey de Siria, y Peka, hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, subieron a Jerusalén para combatirla; mas no la pudieron tomar.(E) Ésaïe 7:1 Il arriva, du temps d'Achaz, fils de Jotham, fils d'Ozias, roi de Juda, que Retsin, roi de Syrie, monta avec Pékach, fils de Remalia, roi d'Israël, contre Jérusalem, pour l'assiéger; mais il ne put l'assiéger.(F) Isa 7:1 Es begab sich zur Zeit Ahas, des Sohnes Jothams, des Sohnes Usias, des Königs in Juda, zog herauf Rezin der König von Syrien, und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, der König Israels, gen Jerusalem, gegen dasselbe zu streiten, konnten es aber nicht gewinnen.(D) Isa 7:1 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Αχαζ τοῦ Ιωαθαμ τοῦ υἱοῦ Οζιου βασιλέως Ιουδα ἀνέβη Ραασσων βασιλεὺς Αραμ καὶ Φακεε υἱὸς Ρομελιου βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ πολεμῆσαι αὐτὴν καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν πολιορκῆσαι αὐτήν(lxx) Isa 7:1 Now it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but could not prevail against it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:2 ============ Isa 7:2 When it was reported to the house of David, saying, "The Arameans have camped in Ephraim," his heart and the hearts of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake with the wind.(nasb) Isa 7:2 debellare eam. Et nuntiaverunt domui David, dicentes: Requievit Syria super Ephraim. Et commotum est cor ejus, et cor populi ejus, sicut moventur ligna silvarum a facie venti.(vulgate) Isaías 7:2 Y vino la nueva a la casa de David, diciendo: Siria se ha confederado con Efraín. Y se le estremeció el corazón, y el corazón de su pueblo, como se estremecen los árboles del monte a causa del viento.(E) Ésaïe 7:2 On vint dire à la maison de David: Les Syriens sont campés en Ephraïm. Et le coeur d'Achaz et le coeur de son peuple furent agités, comme les arbres de la forêt sont agités par le vent.(F) Isa 7:2 Da ward dem Hause David angesagt: Die Syrer haben sich gelagert in Ephraim. Da bebte ihm das Herz und das Herz seines Volkes, wie die Bäume im Walde beben vom Winde.(D) Isa 7:2 καὶ ἀνηγγέλη εἰς τὸν οἶκον Δαυιδ λέγοντες συνεφώνησεν Αραμ πρὸς τὸν Εφραιμ καὶ ἐξέστη ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ ψυχὴ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ὃν τρόπον ὅταν ἐν δρυμῷ ξύλον ὑπὸ πνεύματος σαλευθῇ(lxx) Isa 7:2 And it was told to the house of David, saying, "Syria's forces are deployed in Ephraim." So his heart and the heart of his people were moved as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:3 ============ Isa 7:3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and your son Shear-jashub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway to the fuller's field,(nasb) Isa 7:3 Et dixit Dominus ad Isaiam: Egredere in occursum Achaz, tu et qui derelictus est Jasub, filius tuus, ad extremum aquæductus piscinæ superioris in via agri Fullonis;(vulgate) Isaías 7:3 Entonces dijo Jehová a Isaías: Sal ahora al encuentro de Acaz, tú, y Sear-jasub tu hijo, al extremo del acueducto del estanque de arriba, en el camino de la Heredad del Lavador,(E) Ésaïe 7:3 Alors l'Eternel dit à Esaïe: Va à la rencontre d'Achaz, toi et Schear-Jaschub, ton fils, vers l'extrémité de l'aqueduc de l'étang supérieur, sur la route du champ du foulon.(F) Isa 7:3 Aber der HERR sprach zu Jesaja: Gehe hinaus, Ahas entgegen, du und dein Sohn Sear-Jasub, an das Ende der Wasserleitung des oberen Teiches, am Wege beim Acker des Walkmüllers,(D) Isa 7:3 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Ησαιαν ἔξελθε εἰς συνάντησιν Αχαζ σὺ καὶ ὁ καταλειφθεὶς Ιασουβ ὁ υἱός σου πρὸς τὴν κολυμβήθραν τῆς ἄνω ὁδοῦ τοῦ ἀγροῦ τοῦ γναφέως(lxx) Isa 7:3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the aqueduct from the upper pool, on the highway to the Fuller's Field,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:4 ============ Isa 7:4 and say to him, 'Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted because of these two stubs of smoldering firebrands, on account of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and the son of Remaliah.(nasb) Isa 7:4 et dices ad eum: [Vide ut sileas; noli timere, et cor tuum ne formidet a duabus caudis titionum fumigantium istorum, in ira furoris Rasin, regis Syriæ, et filii Romeliæ;(vulgate) Isaías 7:4 y dile: Guarda, y repósate; no temas, ni desmaye tu corazón a causa de estos dos cabos de tizón que humean, por el furor de la ira de Rezín y de Siria, y del hijo de Remalías.(E) Ésaïe 7:4 Et dis-lui: Sois tranquille, ne crains rien, Et que ton coeur ne s'alarme pas, Devant ces deux bouts de tisons fumants, Devant la colère de Retsin et de la Syrie, et du fils de Remalia,(F) Isa 7:4 und sprich zu ihm: Hüte dich und sei still; fürchte dich nicht, und dein Herz sei unverzagt vor diesen zwei rauchenden Löschbränden, vor dem Zorn Rezins und der Syrer und des Sohnes Remaljas,(D) Isa 7:4 καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτῷ φύλαξαι τοῦ ἡσυχάσαι καὶ μὴ φοβοῦ μηδὲ ἡ ψυχή σου ἀσθενείτω ἀπὸ τῶν δύο ξύλων τῶν δαλῶν τῶν καπνιζομένων τούτων ὅταν γὰρ ὀργὴ τοῦ θυμοῦ μου γένηται πάλιν ἰάσομαι(lxx) Isa 7:4 and say to him: 'Take heed, and be quiet; do not fear or be fainthearted for these two stubs of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and the son of Remaliah.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:5 ============ Isa 7:5 Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying,(nasb) Isa 7:5 eo quod consilium inierit contra te Syria in malum, Ephraim, et filius Romeliæ, dicentes:(vulgate) Isaías 7:5 Porque Siria, Efraín, y el hijo de Remalías, han acordado maligno consejo contra ti, diciendo:(E) Ésaïe 7:5 De ce que la Syrie médite du mal contre toi, De ce qu'Ephraïm et le fils de Remalia disent:(F) Isa 7:5 daß die Syrer wider dich einen bösen Ratschlag gemacht haben samt Ephraim und dem Sohn Remaljas und sagen:(D) Isa 7:5 καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ Αραμ καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ Ρομελιου ὅτι ἐβουλεύσαντο βουλὴν πονηρὰν περὶ σοῦ λέγοντες(lxx) Isa 7:5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:6 ============ Isa 7:6 "Let us go up against Judah and terrorize it, and make for ourselves a breach in its walls and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,"(nasb) Isa 7:6 Ascendamus ad Judam, et suscitemus eum, et avellamus eum ad nos, et ponamus regem in medio ejus filium Tabeel.(vulgate) Isaías 7:6 Subamos contra Judá, y aterroricémosla, y hagamos una brecha para nosotros, y pondremos en medio de ella por rey al hijo de Tabeel:(E) Ésaïe 7:6 Montons contre Juda, assiégeons la ville, Et battons-la en brèche, Et proclamons-y pour roi le fils de Tabeel.(F) Isa 7:6 Wir wollen hinauf nach Juda und es erschrecken und hineinbrechen und zum König darin machen den Sohn Tabeels.(D) Isa 7:6 ἀναβησόμεθα εἰς τὴν Ιουδαίαν καὶ συλλαλήσαντες αὐτοῖς ἀποστρέψομεν αὐτοὺς πρὸς ἡμᾶς καὶ βασιλεύσομεν αὐτῆς τὸν υἱὸν Ταβεηλ(lxx) Isa 7:6 "Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel"--(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:7 ============ Isa 7:7 thus says the Lord God. "It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass.(nasb) Isa 7:7 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Non stabit, et non erit istud;(vulgate) Isaías 7:7 El Señor Jehová dice así: No prevalecerá, ni sucederá.(E) Ésaïe 7:7 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Cela n'arrivera pas, cela n'aura pas lieu.(F) Isa 7:7 Denn also spricht der HERR HERR: Es soll nicht bestehen noch also gehen;(D) Isa 7:7 τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ οὐ μὴ ἐμμείνῃ ἡ βουλὴ αὕτη οὐδὲ ἔσται(lxx) Isa 7:7 thus says the Lord God: "It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:8 ============ Isa 7:8 For the head of Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is Rezin (now within another 65 years Ephraim will be shattered, so that it is no longer a people),(nasb) Isa 7:8 sed caput Syriæ Damascus, et caput Damasci Rasin; et adhuc sexaginta et quinque anni, et desinet Ephraim esse populus;(vulgate) Isaías 7:8 Porque la cabeza de Siria [es] Damasco, y la cabeza de Damasco, Rezín; y dentro de sesenta y cinco años Efraín será quebrantado hasta dejar de ser pueblo.(E) Ésaïe 7:8 Car Damas est la tête de la Syrie, Et Retsin est la tête de Damas. Encore soixante-cinq ans, Ephraïm ne sera plus un peuple.(F) Isa 7:8 sondern wie Damaskus das Haupt ist in Syrien, so soll Rezin das Haupt zu Damaskus sein. Und über fünfundsechzig Jahre soll es mit Ephraim aus sein, daß sie nicht mehr ein Volk seien.(D) Isa 7:8 ἀλλ᾽ ἡ κεφαλὴ Αραμ Δαμασκός ἀλλ᾽ ἔτι ἑξήκοντα καὶ πέντε ἐτῶν ἐκλείψει ἡ βασιλεία Εφραιμ ἀπὸ λαοῦ(lxx) Isa 7:8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, And the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken, So that it will not be a people.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:9 ============ Isa 7:9 and the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, you surely shall not last."'"(nasb) Isa 7:9 et caput Ephraim Samaria, et caput Samariæ filius Romeliæ. Si non credideritis, non permanebitis.](vulgate) Isaías 7:9 Y la cabeza de Efraín [es] Samaria, y la cabeza de Samaria [es] el hijo de Remalías. Si vosotros no creyereis, de cierto no permaneceréis.(E) Ésaïe 7:9 La Samarie est la tête d'Ephraïm, Et le fils de Remalia est la tête de la Samarie. Si vous ne croyez pas, Vous ne subsisterez pas.(F) Isa 7:9 Und wie Samaria das Haupt ist in Ephraim, so soll der Sohn Remaljas das Haupt zu Samaria sein. Gläubt ihr nicht so bleibt ihr nicht.(D) Isa 7:9 καὶ ἡ κεφαλὴ Εφραιμ Σομορων καὶ ἡ κεφαλὴ Σομορων υἱὸς τοῦ Ρομελιου καὶ ἐὰν μὴ πιστεύσητε οὐδὲ μὴ συνῆτε(lxx) Isa 7:9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria, And the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you will not believe, Surely you shall not be established." ' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:10 ============ Isa 7:10 Then the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying,(nasb) Isa 7:10 Et adjecit Dominus loqui ad Achaz, dicens:(vulgate) Isaías 7:10 Y Jehová habló otra vez a Acaz, diciendo:(E) Ésaïe 7:10 L'Eternel parla de nouveau à Achaz, et lui dit:(F) Isa 7:10 Und der HERR redete abermals zu Ahas und sprach:(D) Isa 7:10 καὶ προσέθετο κύριος λαλῆσαι τῷ Αχαζ λέγων(lxx) Isa 7:10 Moreover the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:11 ============ Isa 7:11 "Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven."(nasb) Isa 7:11 Pete tibi signum a Domino Deo tuo, in profundum inferni, sive in excelsum supra.(vulgate) Isaías 7:11 Pide para ti señal de Jehová tu Dios, demandándola ya sea en lo profundo, o arriba en lo alto.(E) Ésaïe 7:11 Demande en ta faveur un signe à l'Eternel, ton Dieu; demande-le, soit dans les lieux bas, soit dans les lieux élevés.(F) Isa 7:11 Fordere dir ein Zeichen vom HERRN, deinem Gott, es sei unten in der Hölle oder droben in der Höhe!(D) Isa 7:11 αἴτησαι σεαυτῷ σημεῖον παρὰ κυρίου θεοῦ σου εἰς βάθος ἢ εἰς ὕψος(lxx) Isa 7:11 "Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:12 ============ Isa 7:12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!"(nasb) Isa 7:12 Et dixit Achaz: Non petam, et non tentabo Dominum.(vulgate) Isaías 7:12 Y respondió Acaz: No pediré, y no tentaré a Jehová.(E) Ésaïe 7:12 Achaz répondit: Je ne demanderai rien, je ne tenterai pas l'Eternel.(F) Isa 7:12 Aber Ahas sprach: Ich will's nicht fordern, daß ich den HERRN nicht versuche.(D) Isa 7:12 καὶ εἶπεν Αχαζ οὐ μὴ αἰτήσω οὐδ᾽ οὐ μὴ πειράσω κύριον(lxx) Isa 7:12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!"(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:13 ============ Isa 7:13 Then he said, "Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well?(nasb) Isa 7:13 Et dixit: [Audite ergo, domus David. Numquid parum vobis est molestos esse hominibus, quia molesti estis et Deo meo?(vulgate) Isaías 7:13 Dijo entonces Isaías: Oíd ahora casa de David. ¿Os [es] poco el ser molestos a los hombres, sino que también lo seáis a mi Dios?(E) Ésaïe 7:13 Esaïe dit alors: Ecoutez donc, maison de David! Est-ce trop peu pour vous de lasser la patience des hommes, Que vous lassiez encore celle de mon Dieu?(F) Isa 7:13 Da sprach er: Wohlan, so höret, ihr vom Hause David: Ist's euch zu wenig, daß ihr die Leute beleidigt, ihr müßt auch meinen Gott beleidigen?(D) Isa 7:13 καὶ εἶπεν ἀκούσατε δή οἶκος Δαυιδ μὴ μικρὸν ὑμῖν ἀγῶνα παρέχειν ἀνθρώποις καὶ πῶς κυρίῳ παρέχετε ἀγῶνα(lxx) Isa 7:13 Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:14 ============ Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.(nasb) Isa 7:14 Propter hoc dabit Dominus ipse vobis signum: ecce virgo concipiet, et pariet filium, et vocabitur nomen ejus Emmanuel.(vulgate) Isaías 7:14 Por tanto, el Señor mismo os dará señal: He aquí una virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y llamará su nombre Emmanuel.(E) Ésaïe 7:14 C'est pourquoi le Seigneur lui-même vous donnera un signe, Voici, la jeune fille deviendra enceinte, elle enfantera un fils, Et elle lui donnera le nom d'Emmanuel.(F) Isa 7:14 Darum so wird euch der HERR selbst ein Zeichen geben: Siehe, eine Jungfrau ist schwanger und wird einen Sohn gebären, den wird sie heißen Immanuel.(D) Isa 7:14 διὰ τοῦτο δώσει κύριος αὐτὸς ὑμῖν σημεῖον ἰδοὺ ἡ παρθένος ἐν γαστρὶ ἕξει καὶ τέξεται υἱόν καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Εμμανουηλ(lxx) Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:15 ============ Isa 7:15 He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.(nasb) Isa 7:15 Butyrum et mel comedet, ut sciat reprobare malum, et eligere bonum.(vulgate) Isaías 7:15 Comerá mantequilla y miel, para que sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno.(E) Ésaïe 7:15 Il mangera de la crème et du miel, Jusqu'à ce qu'il sache rejeter le mal et choisir le bien.(F) Isa 7:15 Butter und Honig wird er essen, wann er weiß, Böses zu verwerfen und Gutes zu erwählen.(D) Isa 7:15 βούτυρον καὶ μέλι φάγεται πρὶν ἢ γνῶναι αὐτὸν ἢ προελέσθαι πονηρὰ ἐκλέξεται τὸ ἀγαθόν(lxx) Isa 7:15 Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:16 ============ Isa 7:16 For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken.(nasb) Isa 7:16 Quia antequam sciat puer reprobare malum et eligere bonum, derelinquetur terra quam tu detestaris a facie duorum regum suorum.(vulgate) Isaías 7:16 Porque antes que el niño sepa desechar lo malo y escoger lo bueno, la tierra que tú aborreces será abandonada de sus dos reyes.(E) Ésaïe 7:16 Mais avant que l'enfant sache rejeter le mal et choisir le bien, Le pays dont tu crains les deux rois sera abandonné.(F) Isa 7:16 Denn ehe der Knabe lernt Böses verwerfen und Gutes erwählen, wird das Land verödet sein, vor dessen zwei Königen dir graut.(D) Isa 7:16 διότι πρὶν ἢ γνῶναι τὸ παιδίον ἀγαθὸν ἢ κακὸν ἀπειθεῖ πονηρίᾳ τοῦ ἐκλέξασθαι τὸ ἀγαθόν καὶ καταλειφθήσεται ἡ γῆ ἣν σὺ φοβῇ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν δύο βασιλέων(lxx) Isa 7:16 For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:17 ============ Isa 7:17 The Lord will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house such days as have never come since the day that Ephraim separated from Judah, the king of Assyria."(nasb) Isa 7:17 Adducet Dominus super te, et super populum tuum, et super domum patris tui, dies qui non venerunt a diebus separationis Ephraim a Juda, cum rege Assyriorum.(vulgate) Isaías 7:17 Jehová hará venir sobre ti, y sobre tu pueblo, y sobre la casa de tu padre, días cuales nunca vinieron desde el día que Efraín se apartó de Judá, [es decir], al rey de Asiria.(E) Ésaïe 7:17 L'Eternel fera venir sur toi, Sur ton peuple et sur la maison de ton père, Des jours tels qu'il n'y en a point eu Depuis le jour où Ephraïm s'est séparé de Juda Le roi d'Assyrie.(F) Isa 7:17 Aber der HERR wird über dich, über dein Volk und über deines Vaters Haus Tage kommen lassen, die nicht gekommen sind, seit der Zeit, da Ephraim von Juda geschieden ist, durch den König von Assyrien.(D) Isa 7:17 ἀλλὰ ἐπάξει ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός σου ἡμέρας αἳ οὔπω ἥκασιν ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ἀφεῖλεν Εφραιμ ἀπὸ Ιουδα τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἀσσυρίων(lxx) Isa 7:17 The Lord will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father's house--days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:18 ============ Isa 7:18 In that day the Lord will whistle for the fly that is in the remotest part of the rivers of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.(nasb) Isa 7:18 Et erit in die illa: sibilabit Dominus muscæ quæ est in extremo fluminum Ægypti, et api quæ est in terra Assur;(vulgate) Isaías 7:18 Y acontecerá que aquel día silbará Jehová a la mosca que está en el fin de los ríos de Egipto, y a la abeja que está en la tierra de Asiria.(E) Ésaïe 7:18 En ce jour-là, l'Eternel sifflera les mouches Qui sont à l'extrémité des canaux de l'Egypte, Et les abeilles qui sont au pays d'Assyrie;(F) Isa 7:18 Denn zu der Zeit wird der HERR zischen der Fliege am Ende der Wasser in Ägypten und der Biene im Lande Assur,(D) Isa 7:18 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ συριεῖ κύριος μυίαις ὃ κυριεύει μέρους ποταμοῦ Αἰγύπτου καὶ τῇ μελίσσῃ ἥ ἐστιν ἐν χώρᾳ Ἀσσυρίων(lxx) Isa 7:18 And it shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will whistle for the fly That is in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt, And for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:19 ============ Isa 7:19 They will all come and settle on the steep ravines, on the ledges of the cliffs, on all the thorn bushes and on all the watering
