Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 13:1 ============ Jer 13:1 Thus the Lord said to me, "Go and buy yourself a linen waistband and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water."(nasb) Jer 13:1 Hæc dicit Dominus ad me: Vade, et posside tibi lumbare lineum, et pones illud super lumbos tuos, et in aquam non inferes illud.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:1 Así me dijo Jehová: Ve y cómprate un cinto de lino, y cíñelo sobre tus lomos, y no lo metas en agua.(E) Jérémie 13:1 Ainsi m'a parlé l'Eternel: Va, achète-toi une ceinture de lin, et mets-la sur tes reins; mais ne la trempe pas dans l'eau.(F) Jer 13:1 So spricht der HERR zu mir: Gehe hin und kaufe dir einen leinenen Gürtel und gürte damit deine Lenden und mache ihn nicht naß.(D) Jer 13:1 τάδε λέγει κύριος βάδισον καὶ κτῆσαι σεαυτῷ περίζωμα λινοῦν καὶ περίθου περὶ τὴν ὀσφύν σου καὶ ἐν ὕδατι οὐ διελεύσεται(lxx) Jer 13:1 Thus the Lord said to me: "Go and get yourself a linen sash, and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:2 ============ Jer 13:2 So I bought the waistband in accordance with the word of the Lord and put it around my waist.(nasb) Jer 13:2 Et possedi lumbare juxta verbum Domini, et posui circa lumbos meos.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:2 Compré, pues, el cinto conforme a la palabra de Jehová, y [lo] puse sobre mis lomos.(E) Jérémie 13:2 J'achetai la ceinture, selon la parole de l'Eternel, et je la mis sur mes reins.(F) Jer 13:2 Und ich kaufte einen Gürtel nach dem Befehl des HERRN und gürtete ihn um meine Lenden.(D) Jer 13:2 καὶ ἐκτησάμην τὸ περίζωμα κατὰ τὸν λόγον κυρίου καὶ περιέθηκα περὶ τὴν ὀσφύν μου(lxx) Jer 13:2 So I got a sash according to the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:3 ============ Jer 13:3 Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying,(nasb) Jer 13:3 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me secundo, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 13:3 Y vino a mí por segunda vez la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 13:3 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée une seconde fois, en ces mots:(F) Jer 13:3 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zum andernmal zu mir und sprach:(D) Jer 13:3 καὶ ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Jer 13:3 And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:4 ============ Jer 13:4 "Take the waistband that you have bought, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a crevice of the rock."(nasb) Jer 13:4 Tolle lumbare quod possedisti, quod est circa lumbos tuos: et surgens vade ad Euphraten, et absconde ibi illud in foramine petræ.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:4 Toma el cinto que compraste, que [está] sobre tus lomos, y levántate, y ve al Éufrates, y escóndelo allá en la concavidad de una peña.(E) Jérémie 13:4 Prends la ceinture que tu as achetée, et qui est sur tes reins; lève-toi, va vers l'Euphrate, et là, cache-la dans la fente d'un rocher.(F) Jer 13:4 Nimm den Gürtel, den du gekauft und um deine Lenden gegürtet hast, und mache dich auf und gehe hin an den Euphrat und verstecke ihn daselbst in einem Steinritz.(D) Jer 13:4 λαβὲ τὸ περίζωμα τὸ περὶ τὴν ὀσφύν σου καὶ ἀνάστηθι καὶ βάδισον ἐπὶ τὸν Εὐφράτην καὶ κατάκρυψον αὐτὸ ἐκεῖ ἐν τῇ τρυμαλιᾷ τῆς πέτρας(lxx) Jer 13:4 "Take the sash that you acquired, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole in the rock."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:5 ============ Jer 13:5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord had commanded me.(nasb) Jer 13:5 Et abii, et abscondi illud in Euphrate, sicut præceperat mihi Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:5 Fui pues, y lo escondí junto al Éufrates, como Jehová me mandó.(E) Jérémie 13:5 J'allai, et je la cachai près de l'Euphrate, comme l'Eternel me l'avait ordonné.(F) Jer 13:5 Ich ging hin und versteckte ihn am Euphrat, wie mir der HERR geboten hatte.(D) Jer 13:5 καὶ ἐπορεύθην καὶ ἔκρυψα αὐτὸ ἐν τῷ Εὐφράτῃ καθὼς ἐνετείλατό μοι κύριος(lxx) Jer 13:5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:6 ============ Jer 13:6 After many days the Lord said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates and take from there the waistband which I commanded you to hide there."(nasb) Jer 13:6 Et factum est post dies plurimos, dixit Dominus ad me: Surge, vade ad Euphraten, et tolle inde lumbare quod præcepi tibi ut absconderes illud ibi.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:6 Y sucedió que después de muchos días me dijo Jehová: Levántate, y ve al Éufrates, y toma de allí el cinto que te mandé escondieses allá.(E) Jérémie 13:6 Plusieurs jours après, l'Eternel me dit: Lève-toi, va vers l'Euphrate, et là, prends la ceinture que je t'avais ordonné d'y cacher.(F) Jer 13:6 Nach langer Zeit aber sprach der HERR zu mir: Mache dich auf und hole den Gürtel wieder, den ich dich hieß daselbst verstecken.(D) Jer 13:6 καὶ ἐγένετο μεθ᾽ ἡμέρας πολλὰς καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἀνάστηθι βάδισον ἐπὶ τὸν Εὐφράτην καὶ λαβὲ ἐκεῖθεν τὸ περίζωμα ὃ ἐνετειλάμην σοι τοῦ κατακρύψαι ἐκεῖ(lxx) Jer 13:6 Now it came to pass after many days that the Lord said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the sash which I commanded you to hide there."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:7 ============ Jer 13:7 Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the waistband from the place where I had hidden it; and lo, the waistband was ruined, it was totally worthless.(nasb) Jer 13:7 Et abii ad Euphraten, et fodi, et tuli lumbare de loco ubi absconderam illud: et ecce computruerat lumbare, ita ut nulli usui aptum esset.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:7 Entonces fui al Éufrates, y cavé, y tomé el cinto del lugar donde lo había escondido; y he aquí que el cinto se había podrido; para ninguna cosa era bueno.(E) Jérémie 13:7 J'allai vers l'Euphrate, je fouillai, et je pris la ceinture dans le lieu où je l'avais cachée; mais voici, la ceinture était gâtée, elle n'était plus bonne à rien.(F) Jer 13:7 Ich ging hin an den Euphrat und grub auf und nahm den Gürtel von dem Ort, dahin ich ihn versteckt hatte; und siehe, der Gürtel war verdorben, daß er nichts mehr taugte.(D) Jer 13:7 καὶ ἐπορεύθην ἐπὶ τὸν Εὐφράτην ποταμὸν καὶ ὤρυξα καὶ ἔλαβον τὸ περίζωμα ἐκ τοῦ τόπου οὗ κατώρυξα αὐτὸ ἐκεῖ καὶ ἰδοὺ διεφθαρμένον ἦν ὃ οὐ μὴ χρησθῇ εἰς οὐθέν(lxx) Jer 13:7 Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the sash from the place where I had hidden it; and there was the sash, ruined. It was profitable for nothing.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:8 ============ Jer 13:8 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nasb) Jer 13:8 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 13:8 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 13:8 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Jer 13:8 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(D) Jer 13:8 καὶ ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Jer 13:8 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:9 ============ Jer 13:9 "Thus says the Lord, 'Just so will I destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.(nasb) Jer 13:9 [Hæc dicit Dominus: Sic putrescere faciam superbiam Juda, et superbiam Jerusalem multam:(vulgate) Jeremías 13:9 Así dice Jehová: Así haré podrir la soberbia de Judá, y la mucha soberbia de Jerusalén.(E) Jérémie 13:9 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: C'est ainsi que je détruirai l'orgueil de Juda Et l'orgueil immense de Jérusalem.(F) Jer 13:9 So spricht der HERR: Eben also will ich auch verderben die große Hoffart Juda's und Jerusalems.(D) Jer 13:9 τάδε λέγει κύριος οὕτω φθερῶ τὴν ὕβριν Ιουδα καὶ τὴν ὕβριν Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Jer 13:9 "Thus says the Lord: 'In this manner I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:10 ============ Jer 13:10 This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband which is totally worthless.(nasb) Jer 13:10 populum istum pessimum qui nolunt audire verba mea, et ambulant in pravitate cordis sui, abieruntque post deos alienos ut servirent eis et adorarent eos: et erunt sicut lumbare istud, quod nulli usui aptum est.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:10 Este pueblo malo, que no quieren oír mis palabras, que andan en las imaginaciones de su corazón, y se fueron en pos de dioses ajenos para servirles, y para adorarles, vendrá a ser como este cinto, que para ninguna cosa es bueno.(E) Jérémie 13:10 Ce méchant peuple, qui refuse d'écouter mes paroles, Qui suit les penchants de son coeur, Et qui va après d'autres dieux, Pour les servir et se prosterner devant eux, Qu'il devienne comme cette ceinture, Qui n'est plus bonne à rien!(F) Jer 13:10 Das böse Volk, das meine Worte nicht hören will, sondern gehen hin nach Gedünken ihres Herzens und folgen andern Göttern, daß sie ihnen dienen und sie anbeten: sie sollen werden wie der Gürtel, der nichts mehr taugt.(D) Jer 13:10 τὴν πολλὴν ταύτην ὕβριν τοὺς μὴ βουλομένους ὑπακούειν τῶν λόγων μου καὶ πορευθέντας ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων τοῦ δουλεύειν αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῦ προσκυνεῖν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἔσονται ὥσπερ τὸ περίζωμα τοῦτο ὃ οὐ χρησθήσεται εἰς οὐθέν(lxx) Jer 13:10 This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who follow the dictates of their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash which is profitable for nothing.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:11 ============ Jer 13:11 For as the waistband clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole household of Israel and the whole household of Judah cling to Me,' declares the Lord, 'that they might be for Me a people, for renown, for praise and for glory; but they did not listen.'(nasb) Jer 13:11 Sicut enim adhæret lumbare ad lumbos viri, sic agglutinavi mihi omnem domum Israël, et omnem domum Juda, dicit Dominus, ut essent mihi in populum, et in nomen, et in laudem, et in gloriam: et non audierunt.]~(vulgate) Jeremías 13:11 Porque como el cinto se junta a los lomos del hombre, así hice juntar a mí toda la casa de Israel y toda la casa de Judá, dice Jehová, para que me fuesen por pueblo y por fama, y por alabanza y por honra; pero no escucharon.(E) Jérémie 13:11 Car comme on attache la ceinture aux reins d'un homme, Ainsi je m'étais attaché toute la maison d'Israël Et toute la maison de Juda, dit l'Eternel, Afin qu'elles fussent mon peuple, Mon nom, ma louange, et ma gloire. Mais ils ne m'ont point écouté.(F) Jer 13:11 Denn gleichwie ein Mann den Gürtel um seine Lenden bindet, also habe ich, spricht der HERR, das ganze Haus Israel und das ganze Haus Juda um mich gegürtet, daß sie mein Volk sein sollten, mir zu einem Namen, zu Lob und Ehren; aber sie wollen nicht hören.(D) Jer 13:11 ὅτι καθάπερ κολλᾶται τὸ περίζωμα περὶ τὴν ὀσφὺν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οὕτως ἐκόλλησα πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ πᾶν οἶκον Ιουδα τοῦ γενέσθαι μοι εἰς λαὸν ὀνομαστὸν καὶ εἰς καύχημα καὶ εἰς δόξαν καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσάν μου(lxx) Jer 13:11 For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,' says the Lord, 'that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:12 ============ Jer 13:12 "Therefore you are to speak this word to them, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel," Every jug is to be filled with wine."' And when they say to you, 'Do we not very well know that every jug is to be filled with wine?'(nasb) Jer 13:12 Dices ergo ad eos sermonem istum: [Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël: Omnis laguncula implebitur vino.] Et dicent ad te: [Numquid ignoramus quia omnis laguncula implebitur vino?](vulgate) Jeremías 13:12 Les dirás, pues, esta palabra: Así dice Jehová, Dios de Israel: Todo odre será llenado de vino. Y ellos te dirán: ¿Acaso no sabemos que todo odre será llenado de vino?(E) Jérémie 13:12 Tu leur diras cette parole: Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Tous les vases seront remplis de vin. Et ils te diront: Ne savons-nous pas Que tous les vases seront remplis de vin?(F) Jer 13:12 So sage ihnen nun dies Wort: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Es sollen alle Krüge mit Wein gefüllt werden. So werden sie zu dir sagen: Wer weiß das nicht, daß man alle Krüge mit Wein füllen soll?(D) Jer 13:12 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον πᾶς ἀσκὸς πληρωθήσεται οἴνου καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ μὴ γνόντες οὐ γνωσόμεθα ὅτι πᾶς ἀσκὸς πληρωθήσεται οἴνου(lxx) Jer 13:12 "Therefore you shall speak to them this word: 'Thus says the Lord God of Israel: "Every bottle shall be filled with wine." ' And they will say to you, 'Do we not certainly know that every bottle will be filled with wine?'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:13 ============ Jer 13:13 then say to them, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold I am about to fill all the inhabitants of this land - the kings that sit for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem - with drunkenness!(nasb) Jer 13:13 Et dices ad eos: [Hæc dicit Dominus: Ecce ego implebo omnes habitatores terræ hujus, et reges qui sedent de stirpe David super thronum ejus, et sacerdotes, et prophetas, et omnes habitatores Jerusalem, ebrietate.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:13 Entonces les dirás: Así dice Jehová: He aquí que yo lleno de embriaguez a todos los moradores de esta tierra, aun a los reyes que se sientan sobre el trono de David, y a los sacerdotes y profetas, y a todos los moradores de Jerusalén;(E) Jérémie 13:13 Alors dis-leur: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, je remplirai tous les habitants de ce pays, Les rois qui sont assis sur le trône de David, Les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tous les habitants de Jérusalem, Je les remplirai d'ivresse.(F) Jer 13:13 So sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich will alle, die in diesem Lande wohnen, die Könige, die auf dem Stuhl Davids sitzen, die Priester und Propheten und alle Einwohner zu Jerusalem füllen, daß sie trunken werden sollen;(D) Jer 13:13 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πληρῶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν ταύτην καὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν τοὺς καθημένους υἱοὺς Δαυιδ ἐπὶ θρόνου αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ τοὺς προφήτας καὶ τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ μεθύσματι(lxx) Jer 13:13 Then you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land--even the kings who sit on David's throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem--with drunkenness!(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:14 ============ Jer 13:14 I will dash them against each other, both the fathers and the sons together," declares the Lord." I will not show pity nor be sorry nor have compassion so as not to destroy them."'"(nasb) Jer 13:14 Et dispergam eos virum a fratre suo, et patres et filios pariter, ait Dominus. Non parcam, et non concedam: neque miserebor, ut non disperdam eos.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:14 y los quebrantaré el uno contra el otro, los padres con los hijos juntamente, dice Jehová: No perdonaré, ni tendré piedad ni misericordia, para no destruirlos.(E) Jérémie 13:14 Je les briserai les uns contre les autres, Les pères et les fils ensemble, dit l'Eternel; Je n'épargnerai pas, je n'aurai point de pitié, point de miséricorde, Rien ne m'empêchera de les détruire.(F) Jer 13:14 und will einen mit dem andern, die Väter samt den Kindern, verstreuen, spricht der HERR; und will weder schonen noch übersehen noch barmherzig sein über ihrem Verderben.(D) Jer 13:14 καὶ διασκορπιῶ αὐτοὺς ἄνδρα καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ οὐκ ἐπιποθήσω λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐ φείσομαι καὶ οὐκ οἰκτιρήσω ἀπὸ διαφθορᾶς αὐτῶν(lxx) Jer 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together," says the Lord. "I will not pity nor spare nor have mercy, but will destroy them." ' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:15 ============ Jer 13:15 Listen and give heed, do not be haughty, For the Lord has spoken.(nasb) Jer 13:15 Audite, et auribus percipite: nolite elevari, quia Dominus locutus est.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:15 Escuchad y oíd; no os enaletezcáis; pues Jehová ha hablado.(E) Jérémie 13:15 Ecoutez et prêtez l'oreille! Ne soyez point orgueilleux! Wo ist nun die Herde, so dir befohlen war, deine herrliche Herde?(D) Jer 13:20 ἀνάλαβε ὀφθαλμούς σου Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἰδὲ τοὺς ἐρχομένους ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ποῦ ἐστιν τὸ ποίμνιον ὃ ἐδόθη σοι πρόβατα δόξης σου(lxx) Jer 13:20 Lift up your eyes and see Those who come from the north. Denn du hast sie so gewöhnt wider dich, daß sie Fürsten und Häupter sein wollen. Was gilt's? es wird dich Angst ankommen wie ein Weib in Kindsnöten.(D) Jer 13:21 τί ἐρεῖς ὅταν ἐπισκέπτωνταί σε καὶ σὺ ἐδίδαξας αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ σὲ μαθήματα εἰς ἀρχήν οὐκ ὠδῖνες καθέξουσίν σε καθὼς γυναῖκα τίκτουσαν(lxx) Jer 13:21 What will you say when He punishes you? For you have taught them To be chieftains, to be head over you. Will not pangs seize you, Like a woman in labor?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 13:22 ============ Jer 13:22 "If you say in your heart, 'Why have these things happened to me?'Because of the magnitude of your iniquity Your skirts have been removed And your heels have been exposed.(nasb) Jer 13:22 Quod si dixeris in corde tuo: Quare venerunt mihi hæc? propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuæ revelata sunt verecundiora tua, pollutæ sunt plantæ tuæ.(vulgate) Jeremías 13:22 Cuando dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Por qué me ha sobrevenido esto? Um der Menge willen deiner Missetaten sind dir deine Säume aufgedeckt und ist deinen Fersen Gewalt geschehen.(D) Jer 13:22 καὶ ἐὰν εἴπῃς ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου διὰ τί ἀπήντησέν μοι ταῦτα διὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῆς ἀδικίας σου ἀνεκαλύφθη τὰ ὀπίσθιά σου παραδειγματισθῆναι τὰς πτέρνας σου(lxx) Jer 13:22 And if you say in your heart, "Why have these things come upon me?" [Entonces] también vosotros podéis hacer bien, estando habituados a hacer mal.(E) Jérémie 13:23 Un Ethiopien peut-il changer sa peau, Et un léopard ses taches? De même, pourriez-vous faire le bien, Vous qui êtes accoutumés à faire le mal?(F) Jer 13:23 Kann auch ein Mohr seine Haut wandeln oder ein Parder seine Flecken? So könnt ihr auch Gutes tun, die ihr des Bösen gewohnt seid.(D) Jer 13:23 εἰ ἀλλάξεται Αἰθίοψ τὸ δέρμα αὐτοῦ καὶ πάρδαλις τὰ ποικίλματα αὐτῆς καὶ ὑμεῖς δυνήσεσθε εὖ ποιῆσαι μεμαθηκότες τὰ κακά(lxx) Jer 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots?
