While they were eating bread together there in Mizpah,(nasb) Jer 41:1 Et factum est in mense septimo, venit Ismahel filius Nathaniæ filii Elisama, de semine regali, et optimates regis, et decem viri cum eo, ad Godoliam filium Ahicam, in Masphath, et comederunt ibi panes simul in Masphath.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:1 Y aconteció en el mes séptimo, que vino Ismael, hijo de Netanías, hijo de Elisama, de la simiente real, y algunos príncipes del rey, y diez hombres con él, a Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam, en Mizpa; y juntos comieron pan allí en Mizpa.(E) Jérémie 41:1 Au septième mois, Ismaël, fils de Nethania, fils d'Elischama, de la race royale, vint avec des grands du roi et dix hommes auprès de Guedalia, fils d'Achikam, à Mitspa. And there they ate bread together in Mizpah.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:2 ============ Jer 41:2 Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him arose and struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword and put to death the one whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.(nasb) Jer 41:2 Surrexit autem Ismahel filius Nathaniæ, et decem viri qui cum eo erant, et percusserunt Godoliam filium Ahicam filii Saphan gladio, et interfecerunt eum quem præfecerat rex Babylonis terræ.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:2 Y se levantó Ismael, hijo de Netanías, y los diez hombres que con él estaban, y mataron a espada a Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán, matando así a aquel a quien el rey de Babilonia había puesto sobre la tierra.(E) Jérémie 41:2 Alors Ismaël, fils de Nethania, se leva avec les dix hommes dont il était accompagné, et ils frappèrent avec l'épée Guedalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan; il fit ainsi mourir celui que le roi de Babylone avait établi gouverneur du pays.(F) Jer 41:2 Und Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, macht sich auf samt den zehn Männern, die bei ihm waren und schlugen Gedalja, den Sohn Ahikams, des Sohnes Saphans, mit dem Schwert zu Tode, darum daß ihn der König zu Babel über das Land gesetzt hatte;(D) Jer 41:2 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος βάδισον πρὸς Σεδεκιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτῷ οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος παραδόσει παραδοθήσεται ἡ πόλις αὕτη εἰς χεῖρας βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος καὶ συλλήμψεται αὐτὴν καὶ καύσει αὐτὴν ἐν πυρί(lxx) Jer 41:2 Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, arose and struck Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, and killed him whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:3 ============ Jer 41:3 Ishmael also struck down all the Jews who were with him, that is with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.(nasb) Jer 41:3 Omnes quoque Judæos qui erant cum Godolia in Masphath, et Chaldæos qui reperti sunt ibi, et viros bellatores, percussit Ismahel.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:3 Asimismo mató Ismael a todos los judíos que estaban con él, con Gedalías en Mizpa, y a los soldados caldeos que allí se hallaron.(E) Jérémie 41:3 Ismaël tua encore tous les juifs qui étaient auprès de Guedalia à Mitspa, et les Chaldéens qui se trouvaient là, les gens de guerre.(F) Jer 41:3 dazu alle Juden, die bei Gedalja waren zu Mizpa, und die Chaldäer, die sie daselbst fanden, alle Kriegsleute, schlug Ismael.(D) Jer 41:3 καὶ σὺ οὐ μὴ σωθῇς ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ συλλήμψει συλλημφθήσῃ καὶ εἰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ δοθήσῃ καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ ὄψονται καὶ τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ μετὰ τοῦ στόματός σου λαλήσει καὶ εἰς Βαβυλῶνα εἰσελεύσῃ(lxx) Jer 41:3 Ishmael also struck down all the Jews who were with him, that is, with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:4 ============ Jer 41:4 Now it happened on the next day after the killing of Gedaliah, when no one knew about it,(nasb) Jer 41:4 Secundo autem die postquam occiderat Godoliam, nullo adhuc sciente,(vulgate) Jeremías 41:4 Sucedió además, un día después que mató a Gedalías, cuando nadie [lo] sabía [aún],(E) Jérémie 41:4 Le second jour après l'assassinat de Guedalia, tandis que personne n'en savait rien,(F) Jer 41:4 Des andern Tages, nachdem Gedalja erschlagen war und es noch niemand wußte,(D) Jer 41:4 ἀλλὰ ἄκουσον τὸν λόγον κυρίου Σεδεκια βασιλεῦ Ιουδα οὕτως λέγει κύριος(lxx) Jer 41:4 And it happened, on the second day after he had killed Gedaliah, when as yet no one knew it,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:5 ============ Jer 41:5 that eighty men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria with their beards shaved off and their clothes torn and their bodies gashed, having grain offerings and incense in their hands to bring to the house of the Lord.(nasb) Jer 41:5 venerunt viri de Sichem, et de Silo, et de Samaria, octoginta viri, rasi barba, et scissis vestibus, et squallentes: et munera et thus habebant in manu, ut offerrent in domo Domini.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:5 que venían unos hombres de Siquem y de Silo y de Samaria, ochenta hombres, raída la barba, y rotas las ropas, y arañados y traían en sus manos ofrenda y perfume para llevar a la casa de Jehová.(E) Jérémie 41:5 il arriva de Sichem, de Silo et de Samarie, quatre-vingts hommes, qui avaient la barbe rasée et les vêtements déchirés, et qui s'étaient fait des incisions; ils portaient des offrandes et de l'encens, pour les présenter à la maison de l'Eternel.(F) Jer 41:5 kamen achtzig Männer von Sichem, von Silo und von Samaria und hatten die Bärte abgeschoren und ihre Kleider zerrissen und sich zerritzt und trugen Speisopfer und Weihrauch mit sich, daß sie es brächten zum Hause des HERRN.(D) Jer 41:5 ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἀποθανῇ καὶ ὡς ἔκλαυσαν τοὺς πατέρας σου τοὺς βασιλεύσαντας πρότερόν σου κλαύσονται καὶ σὲ καὶ ὦ αδων κόψονταί σε ὅτι λόγον ἐγὼ ἐλάλησα εἶπεν κύριος(lxx) Jer 41:5 that certain men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, eighty men with their beards shaved and their clothes torn, having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:6 ============ Jer 41:6 Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went; and as he met them, he said to them, "Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam!"(nasb) Jer 41:6 Egressus ergo Ismahel filius Nathaniæ in occursum eorum de Masphath, incedens et plorans ibat: cum autem occurrisset eis, dixit ad eos: Venite ad Godoliam filium Ahicam.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:6 Y de Mizpa les salió al encuentro, llorando, Ismael, hijo de Netanías: y aconteció que como los encontró, les dijo: Venid a Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam.(E) Jérémie 41:6 Ismaël, fils de Nethania, sortit de Mitspa au-devant d'eux; il marchait en pleurant. Lorsqu'il les rencontra, il leur dit: Venez vers Guedalia, fils d'Achikam.(F) Jer 41:6 Und Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, ging heraus von Mizpa ihnen entgegen, ging daher und weinte. Als er nun an sie kam, sprach er zu ihnen: Ihr sollt zu Gedalja, dem Sohn Ahikams, kommen.(D) Jer 41:6 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Ιερεμιας πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Σεδεκιαν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐν Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Jer 41:6 Now Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went along; and it happened as he met them that he said to them, "Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam!"(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:7 ============ Jer 41:7 Yet it turned out that as soon as they came inside the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the men that were with him slaughtered them and cast them into the cistern.(nasb) Jer 41:7 Qui cum venissent ad medium civitatis, interfecit eos Ismahel filius Nathaniæ circa medium laci, ipse et viri qui erant cum eo.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:7 Y fue que cuando llegaron al medio de la ciudad, Ismael, hijo de Netanías los degolló, [y los echó] dentro de una cisterna, él y los hombres que con él estaban.(E) Jérémie 41:7 Et quand ils furent au milieu de la ville, Ismaël, fils de Nethania, les égorgea et les jeta dans la citerne, avec l'aide des gens qui l'accompagnaient.(F) Jer 41:7 Da sie aber mitten in die Stadt kamen, ermordete sie Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, und die Männer, so bei ihm waren, und warf sie in den Brunnen.(D) Jer 41:7 καὶ ἡ δύναμις βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος ἐπολέμει ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα ἐπὶ Λαχις καὶ ἐπὶ Αζηκα ὅτι αὗται κατελείφθησαν ἐν πόλεσιν Ιουδα πόλεις ὀχυραί(lxx) Jer 41:7 So it was, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah killed them and cast them into the midst of a pit, he and the men who were with him.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:8 ============ Jer 41:8 But ten men who were found among them said to Ishmael, "Do not put us to death; for we have stores of wheat, barley, oil and honey hidden in the field." So he refrained and did not put them to death along with their companions.(nasb) Jer 41:8 Decem autem viri reperti sunt inter eos, qui dixerunt ad Ismahel: Noli occidere nos, quia habemus thesauros in agro, frumenti, et hordei, et olei, et mellis: et cessavit, et non interfecit eos cum fratribus suis.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:8 Mas entre aquellos fueron hallados diez hombres que dijeron a Ismael: No nos mates; porque tenemos en el campo tesoros de trigos, y cebadas, y aceite, y miel. Y los dejó, y no los mató entre sus hermanos.(E) Jérémie 41:8 Mais il se trouva parmi eux dix hommes, qui dirent à Ismaël: Ne nous fais pas mourir, car nous avons des provisions cachées dans les champs, du froment, de l'orge, de l'huile et du miel. Alors il les épargna, et ne les fit pas mourir avec leurs frères.(F) Jer 41:8 Aber es waren zehn Männer darunter, die sprachen zu Ismael: Töte uns nicht; wir haben Vorrat im Acker liegen von Weizen, Gerste, Öl und Honig. Also ließ er ab und tötete sie nicht mit den andern.(D) Jer 41:8 ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος πρὸς Ιερεμιαν παρὰ κυρίου μετὰ τὸ συντελέσαι τὸν βασιλέα Σεδεκιαν διαθήκην πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦ καλέσαι ἄφεσιν(lxx) Jer 41:8 But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, "Do not kill us, for we have treasures of wheat, barley, oil, and honey in the field." So he desisted and did not kill them among their brethren.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:9 ============ Jer 41:9 Now as for the cistern where Ishmael had cast all the corpses of the men whom he had struck down because of Gedaliah, it was the one that King Asa had made on account of Baasha, king of Israel; Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.(nasb) Jer 41:9 Lacus autem in quem projecerat Ismahel omnia cadavera virorum quos percussit propter Godoliam, ipse est quem fecit rex Asa propter Baasa regem Israël: ipsum replevit Ismahel filius Nathaniæ occisis.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:9 Y la cisterna en que Ismael echó a todos los cadáveres de los hombres que él había matado a causa de Gedalías, era la misma que el rey Asa había hecho a causa de Baasa, rey de Israel; la llenó de muertos Ismael, hijo de Netanías.(E) Jérémie 41:9 La citerne dans laquelle Ismaël jeta tous les cadavres des hommes qu'il tua près de Guedalia est celle qu'avait construite le roi Asa, lorsqu'il craignait Baescha, roi d'Israël; c'est cette citerne qu'Ismaël, fils de Nethania, remplit de cadavres.(F) Jer 41:9 Der Brunnen aber, darein Ismael die Leichname der Männer warf, welche er hatte erschlagen samt dem Gedalja, ist der, den der König Asa machen ließ wider Baesa, den König Israels; den füllte Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, mit den Erschlagenen.(D) Jer 41:9 τοῦ ἐξαποστεῖλαι ἕκαστον τὸν παῖδα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστον τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτοῦ τὸν Εβραῖον καὶ τὴν Εβραίαν ἐλευθέρους πρὸς τὸ μὴ δουλεύειν ἄνδρα ἐξ Ιουδα(lxx) Jer 41:9 Now the pit into which Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had slain, because of Gedaliah, was the same one Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel. Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:10 ============ Jer 41:10 Then Ishmael took captive all the remnant of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people who were left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard had put under the charge of Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; thus Ishmael the son of Nethaniah took them captive and proceeded to cross over to the sons of Ammon.(nasb) Jer 41:10 Et captivas duxit Ismahel omnes reliquias populi qui erant in Masphath, filias regis, et universum populum qui remanserat in Masphath, quos commendaverat Nabuzardan princeps militiæ, Godoliæ filio Ahicam: et cepit eos Ismahel filius Nathaniæ, et abiit ut transiret ad filios Ammon.~(vulgate) Jeremías 41:10 Después Ismael llevó cautivo a todo el resto del pueblo que [estaba] en Mizpa; a las hijas del rey y a todo el pueblo que en Mizpa había quedado, el cual Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, había encargado a Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam. Los llevó, pues, cautivos Ismael hijo de Netanías, y se fue para pasarse a los hijos de Amón.(E) Jérémie 41:10 Ismaël fit prisonniers tous ceux qui restaient à Mitspa, les filles du roi et tous ceux du peuple qui y demeuraient, et que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, avait confiés à Guedalia, fils d'Achikam; Ismaël, fils de Nethania, les emmena captifs, et partit pour passer chez les Ammonites.(F) Jer 41:10 Und was übriges Volk war zu Mizpa, auch die Königstöchter, führte Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, gefangen weg samt allem übrigen Volk zu Mizpa, über welche Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann, hatte gesetzt Gedalja, den Sohn Ahikams, und zog hin und wollte hinüber zu den Kindern Ammon.(D) Jer 41:10 καὶ ἐπεστράφησαν πάντες οἱ μεγιστᾶνες καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς οἱ εἰσελθόντες ἐν τῇ διαθήκῃ τοῦ ἀποστεῖλαι ἕκαστον τὸν παῖδα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστον τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jer 41:10 Then Ishmael carried away captive all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people who remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive and departed to go over to the Ammonites.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:11 ============ Jer 41:11 But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done.(nasb) Jer 41:11 Audivit autem Johanan filius Caree, et omnes principes bellatorum qui erant cum eo, omne malum quod fecerat Ismahel filius Nathaniæ,(vulgate) Jeremías 41:11 Y oyó Johanán, hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban con él, todo el mal que había hecho Ismael, hijo de Netanías.(E) Jérémie 41:11 Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous les chefs des troupes qui étaient avec lui, furent informés de tout le mal qu'avait fait Ismaël, fils de Nethania.(F) Jer 41:11 Da aber Johanan, der Sohn Kareahs, erfuhr und alle Hauptleute des Heeres, die bei ihm waren, all das Übel, das Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, begangen hatte,(D) Jer 41:11 καὶ ἔωσαν αὐτοὺς εἰς παῖδας καὶ παιδίσκας(lxx) Jer 41:11 But when Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 41:12 ============ Jer 41:12 So they took all the men and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and they found him by the great pool that is in Gibeon.(nasb) Jer 41:12 et assumptis universis viris, profecti sunt ut bellarent adversum Ismahel filium Nathaniæ: et invenerunt eum ad aquas multas quæ sunt in Gabaon.(vulgate) Jeremías 41:12 Entonces tomaron todos los hombres, y fueron a pelear con Ismael, hijo de Netanías, y lo hallaron junto al gran estanque que [está] en Gabaón.(E) Jérémie 41:12 Ils prirent tous les hommes, et se mirent en marche pour attaquer Ismaël, fils de Nethania.
