Today's Date: 4/6/2025 ======= Exodus 16:1 ============ Exo 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.(KJV) Exodus 16:1 Afterwarde all the Congregation of the children of Israel departed from Elim, and came to the wildernes of Sin, (which is betweene Elim and Sinai) the fiftenth day of the second moneth after their departing out of ye land of Egypt.(Geneva) Exode 16:1 Toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël partit d'Elim, et ils arrivèrent au désert de Sin, qui est entre Elim et Sinaï, le quinzième jour du second mois après leur sortie du pays d'Egypte.(FR) 1 ׃16 וַיִּסְעוּ֙ מֵֽאֵילִ֔ם וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ כָּל־עֲדַ֤ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶל־מִדְבַּר־סִ֔ין אֲשֶׁ֥ר בֵּין־אֵילִ֖ם וּבֵ֣ין סִינָ֑י בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה עָשָׂ֥ר יוֹם֙ לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י לְצֵאתָ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Exodus Exo 16:1 Then they set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the sons of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departure from the land of Egypt.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:2 ============ Exo 16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:(KJV) Exodus 16:2 And the whole Congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses & against Aaron in the wildernesse.(Geneva) Exode 16:2 Et toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël murmura dans le désert contre Moïse et Aaron.(FR) 2 ׃16 *וילינו **וַיִּלּ֜וֹנוּ כָּל־עֲדַ֧ת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עַל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ Exodus Exo 16:2 The whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:3 ============ Exo 16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.(KJV) Exodus 16:3 For the children of Israel sayde to them, Oh that we had dyed by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when wee sate by the flesh pots, when wee ate bread our bellies full: for yee haue brought vs out into this wildernesse, to kill this whole company with famine.(Geneva) Exode 16:3 Les enfants d'Israël leur dirent: Que ne sommes-nous morts par la main de l'Eternel dans le pays d'Egypte, quand nous étions assis près des pots de viande, quand nous mangions du pain à satiété? car vous nous avez menés dans ce désert pour faire mourir de faim toute cette multitude.(FR) 3 ׃16 וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ אֲלֵהֶ֜ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מִֽי־יִתֵּ֨ן מוּתֵ֤נוּ בְיַד־יְהוָה֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּשִׁבְתֵּ֙נוּ֙ עַל־סִ֣יר הַבָּשָׂ֔ר בְּאָכְלֵ֥נוּ לֶ֖חֶם לָשֹׂ֑בַע כִּֽי־הוֹצֵאתֶ֤ם אֹתָ֙נוּ֙ אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה לְהָמִ֛ית אֶת־כָּל־הַקָּהָ֥ל הַזֶּ֖ה בָּרָעָֽב׃ ס Exodus Exo 16:3 The sons of Israel said to them, "Would that we had died by the Lord's hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger."(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:4 ============ Exo 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.(KJV) Exodus 16:4 Then sayd the Lord vnto Moses, Behold, I wil cause bread to rayne from heauen to you, & the people shal goe out, and gather that that is sufficient for euery day, that I may proue them, whether they wil walke in my Law or no.(Geneva) Exode 16:4 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Voici, je ferai pleuvoir pour vous du pain, du haut des cieux. Le peuple sortira, et en ramassera, jour par jour, la quantité nécessaire, afin que je le mette à l'épreuve, et que je voie s'il marchera, ou non, selon ma loi.(FR) 4 ׃16 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י מַמְטִ֥יר לָכֶ֛ם לֶ֖חֶם מִן־הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְיָצָ֨א הָעָ֤ם וְלָֽקְטוּ֙ דְּבַר־י֣וֹם בְּיוֹמ֔וֹ לְמַ֧עַן אֲנַסֶּ֛נּוּ הֲיֵלֵ֥ךְ בְּתוֹרָתִ֖י אִם־לֹֽא׃ Exodus Exo 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:5 ============ Exo 16:5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.(KJV) Exodus 16:5 But the sixt daye they shall prepare that, which they shal bring home, and it shalbe twise as much as they gather dayly.(Geneva) Exode 16:5 Le sixième jour, lorsqu'ils prépareront ce qu'ils auront apporté, il s'en trouvera le double de ce qu'ils ramasseront jour par jour.(FR) 5 ׃16 וְהָיָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשִּׁשִּׁ֔י וְהֵכִ֖ינוּ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־יָבִ֑יאוּ וְהָיָ֣ה מִשְׁנֶ֔ה עַ֥ל אֲשֶֽׁר־יִלְקְט֖וּ י֥וֹם ׀ יֽוֹם׃ ס Exodus Exo 16:5 On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily."(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:6 ============ Exo 16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:(KJV) Exodus 16:6 Then Moses and Aaron sayde vnto all the children of Israel, At euen ye shal know, that the Lord brought you out of the land of Egypt:(Geneva) Exode 16:6 Moïse et Aaron dirent à tous les enfants d'Israël: Ce soir, vous comprendrez que c'est l'Eternel qui vous a fait sortir du pays d'Egypte.(FR) 6 ׃16 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ וְאַהֲרֹ֔ן אֶֽל־כָּל־בְּנֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עֶ֕רֶב וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֧י יְהוָ֛ה הוֹצִ֥יא אֶתְכֶ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Exodus Exo 16:6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel, "At evening you will know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt;(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:7 ============ Exo 16:7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?(KJV) Exodus 16:7 And in the morning ye shall see the glorie of the Lorde: for he hath heard your grudgings against the Lorde: and what are we that ye haue murmured against vs?(Geneva) Exode 16:7 Et, au matin, vous verrez la gloire de l'Eternel, parce qu'il a entendu vos murmures contre l'Eternel; car que sommes-nous, pour que vous murmuriez contre nous?(FR) 7 ׃16 וּבֹ֗קֶר וּרְאִיתֶם֙ אֶת־כְּב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה בְּשָׁמְע֥וֹ אֶת־תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶ֖ם עַל־יְהוָ֑ה וְנַ֣חְנוּ מָ֔ה כִּ֥י *תלונו **תַלִּ֖ינוּ עָלֵֽינוּ׃ Exodus Exo 16:7 and in the morning you will see the glory of the Lord, for He hears your grumblings against the Lord; and what are we, that you grumble against us?" (nasb) ======= Exodus 16:8 ============ Exo 16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.(KJV) Exodus 16:8 Againe Moses sayd, At euen shal the Lord giue you flesh to eate, and in the morning your fil of bread: for the Lorde hath heard your murmurings, which ye murmure against him: for what are we? Your murmurings are not against vs, but against the Lord.(Geneva) Exode 16:8 Moïse dit: L'Eternel vous donnera ce soir de la viande à manger, et au matin du pain à satiété, parce que l'Eternel a entendu les murmures que vous avez proférés contre lui; car que sommes-nous? Ce n'est pas contre nous que sont vos murmures, c'est contre l'Eternel.(FR) 8 ׃16 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֗ה בְּתֵ֣ת יְהוָה֩ לָכֶ֨ם בָּעֶ֜רֶב בָּשָׂ֣ר לֶאֱכֹ֗ל וְלֶ֤חֶם בַּבֹּ֙קֶר֙ לִשְׂבֹּ֔עַ בִּשְׁמֹ֤עַ יְהוָה֙ אֶת־תְּלֻנֹּ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֥ם מַלִּינִ֖ם עָלָ֑יו וְנַ֣חְנוּ מָ֔ה לֹא־עָלֵ֥ינוּ תְלֻנֹּתֵיכֶ֖ם כִּ֥י עַל־יְהוָֽה׃ Exodus Exo 16:8 Moses said, "This will happen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread to the full in the morning; for the Lord hears your grumblings which you grumble against Him. And what are we? Your grumblings are not against us but against the Lord."(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:9 ============ Exo 16:9 And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings.(KJV) Exodus 16:9 And Moses sayd to Aaron, Say vnto all the Congregation of the children of Israel, Draw neere before the Lorde: for he hath heard your murmurings.(Geneva) Exode 16:9 Moïse dit à Aaron: Dis à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël: Approchez-vous devant l'Eternel, car il a entendu vos murmures.(FR) 9 ׃16 וַיֹ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן אֱמֹ֗ר אֶֽל־כָּל־עֲדַת֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל קִרְב֖וּ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֣י שָׁמַ֔ע אֵ֖ת תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶֽם׃ Exodus Exo 16:9 Then Moses said to Aaron, "Say to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, 'Come near before the Lord, for He has heard your grumblings.'"(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:10 ============ Exo 16:10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.(KJV) Exodus 16:10 Now as Aaron spake vnto the whole Congregation of the children of Israel, they looked toward the wildernesse, and beholde, the glory of the Lord appeared in a cloude.(Geneva) Exode 16:10 Et tandis qu'Aaron parlait à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, ils se tournèrent du côté du désert, et voici, la gloire de l'Eternel parut dans la nuée.(FR) 10 ׃16 וַיְהִ֗י כְּדַבֵּ֤ר אַהֲרֹן֙ אֶל־כָּל־עֲדַ֣ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיִּפְנ֖וּ אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְהִנֵּה֙ כְּב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה נִרְאָ֖ה בֶּעָנָֽן׃ פ Exodus Exo 16:10 It came about as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:11 ============ Exo 16:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,(KJV) Exodus 16:11 (For the Lorde had spoken vnto Moses, saying,(Geneva) Exode 16:11 L'Eternel, s'adressant à Moïse, dit:(FR) 11 ׃16 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ Exodus Exo 16:11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:12 ============ Exo 16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.(KJV) Exodus 16:12 I haue heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: tell them therefore, & say, At euen ye shal eate flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord your God)(Geneva) Exode 16:12 J'ai entendu les murmures des enfants d'Israël. Dis-leur: Entre les deux soirs vous mangerez de la viande, et au matin vous vous rassasierez de pain; et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu.(FR) 12 ׃16 שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי אֶת־תְּלוּנֹּת֮ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ דַּבֵּ֨ר אֲלֵהֶ֜ם לֵאמֹ֗ר בֵּ֤ין הָֽעַרְבַּ֙יִם֙ תֹּאכְל֣וּ בָשָׂ֔ר וּבַבֹּ֖קֶר תִּשְׂבְּעוּ־לָ֑חֶם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ Exodus Exo 16:12 "I have heard the grumblings of the sons of Israel; speak to them, saying, 'At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God.'"(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:13 ============ Exo 16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.(KJV) Exodus 16:13 And so at euen the quailes came and couered the campe: and in the morning the dewe lay round about the hoste.(Geneva) Exode 16:13 Le soir, il survint des cailles qui couvrirent le camp; et, au matin, il y eut une couche de rosée autour du camp.(FR) 13 ׃16 וַיְהִ֣י בָעֶ֔רֶב וַתַּ֣עַל הַשְּׂלָ֔ו וַתְּכַ֖ס אֶת־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה וּבַבֹּ֗קֶר הָֽיְתָה֙ שִׁכְבַ֣ת הַטַּ֔ל סָבִ֖יב לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ Exodus Exo 16:13 So it came about at evening that the quails came up and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:14 ============ Exo 16:14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.(KJV) Exodus 16:14 And when the dewe that was fallen was ascended, beholde, a small round thing was vpon the face of the wildernes, small as the hoare frost on the earth.(Geneva) Exode 16:14 Quand cette rosée fut dissipée, il y avait à la surface du désert quelque chose de menu comme des grains, quelque chose de menu comme la gelée blanche sur la terre.(FR) 14 ׃16 וַתַּ֖עַל שִׁכְבַ֣ת הַטָּ֑ל וְהִנֵּ֞ה עַל־פְּנֵ֤י הַמִּדְבָּר֙ דַּ֣ק מְחֻסְפָּ֔ס דַּ֥ק כַּכְּפֹ֖ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Exodus Exo 16:14 When the layer of dew evaporated, behold, on the surface of the wilderness there was a fine flake-like thing, fine as the frost on the ground.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:15 ============ Exo 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.(KJV) Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Israel sawe it, they sayde one to another, It is MAN, for they wist not what it was; Moses sayd vnto them, This is the breade which the Lorde hath giuen you to eate.(Geneva) Exode 16:15 Les enfants d'Israël regardèrent et ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Qu'est-ce que cela? car ils ne savaient pas ce que c'était. Moïse leur dit: C'est le pain que L'Eternel vous donne pour nourriture.(FR) 15 ׃16 וַיִּרְא֣וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ אִ֤ישׁ אֶל־אָחִיו֙ מָ֣ן ה֔וּא כִּ֛י לֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּ מַה־ה֑וּא וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם ה֣וּא הַלֶּ֔חֶם אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם לְאָכְלָֽה׃ Exodus Exo 16:15 When the sons of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "It is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:16 ============ Exo 16:16 This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.(KJV) Exodus 16:16 This is the thing which the Lorde hath commanded: gather of it euery man according to his eating an Omer for a man according to the number of your persons: euery man shall take for them which are in his tent.(Geneva) Exode 16:16 Voici ce que l'Eternel a ordonné: Que chacun de vous en ramasse ce qu'il faut pour sa nourriture, un omer par tête, suivant le nombre de vos personnes; chacun en prendra pour ceux qui sont dans sa tente.(FR) 16 ׃16 זֶ֤ה הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה לִקְט֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ אִ֖ישׁ לְפִ֣י אָכְל֑וֹ עֹ֣מֶר לַגֻּלְגֹּ֗לֶת מִסְפַּר֙ נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם אִ֛ישׁ לַאֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּאָהֳל֖וֹ תִּקָּֽחוּ׃ Exodus Exo 16:16 This is what the Lord has commanded, 'Gather of it every man as much as he should eat; you shall take an omer apiece according to the number of persons each of you has in his tent.'"(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:17 ============ Exo 16:17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.(KJV) Exodus 16:17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some lesse.(Geneva) Exode 16:17 Les Israélites firent ainsi; et ils en ramassèrent les uns plus, les autres moins.(FR) 17 ׃16 וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֖ן בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַֽיִּלְקְט֔וּ הַמַּרְבֶּ֖ה וְהַמַּמְעִֽיט׃ Exodus Exo 16:17 The sons of Israel did so, and some gathered much and some little.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:18 ============ Exo 16:18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.(KJV) Exodus 16:18 And when they did measure it with an Omer, hee that had gathered much, had nothing ouer, & he that had gathered litle, had no lacke: so euery man gathered according to his eating.(Geneva) Exode 16:18 On mesurait ensuite avec l'omer; celui qui avait ramassé plus n'avait rien de trop, et celui qui avait ramassé moins n'en manquait pas. Chacun ramassait ce qu'il fallait pour sa nourriture.(FR) 18 ׃16 וַיָּמֹ֣דּוּ בָעֹ֔מֶר וְלֹ֤א הֶעְדִּיף֙ הַמַּרְבֶּ֔ה וְהַמַּמְעִ֖יט לֹ֣א הֶחְסִ֑יר אִ֥ישׁ לְפִֽי־אָכְל֖וֹ לָקָֽטוּ׃ Exodus Exo 16:18 When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat.(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:19 ============ Exo 16:19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.(KJV) Exodus 16:19 Moses then said vnto them, Let no man reserue thereof till morning.(Geneva) Exode 16:19 Moïse leur dit: Que personne n'en laisse jusqu'au matin.(FR) 19 ׃16 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אִ֕ישׁ אַל־יוֹתֵ֥ר מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עַד־בֹּֽקֶר׃ Exodus Exo 16:19 Moses said to them, "Let no man leave any of it until morning."(nasb) ======= Exodus 16:20 ============ Exo 16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.(KJV) Exodus 16:20 Notwithstanding they obeyed not Moses: but some of them reserued of it till morning, and it was full of wormes, and stanke: therefore Moses was angrie with them.(Geneva) Exode 16:20 Ils n'écoutèrent pas Moïse, et il y eut des gens qui en laissèrent jusqu'au matin; mais il s'y mit des vers, et cela devint infect.
