Today's Date: 4/10/2025 ======= Numbers 16:1 ============ Num 16:1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:(KJV) Numbers 16:1 Nowe Korah the sonne of Izhar, the sonne of Kohath, the sonne of Leui went apart with Dathan, and Abiram the sonnes of Eliab, & On the sonne of Peleth, the sonnes of Reuben:(Geneva) Nombres 16:1 Koré, fils de Jitsehar, fils de Kehath, fils de Lévi, se révolta avec Dathan et Abiram, fils d'Eliab, et On, fils de Péleth, tous trois fils de Ruben.(FR) 1 ׃16 וַיִּקַּ֣ח קֹ֔רַח בֶּן־יִצְהָ֥ר בֶּן־קְהָ֖ת בֶּן־לֵוִ֑י וְדָתָ֨ן וַאֲבִירָ֜ם בְּנֵ֧י אֱלִיאָ֛ב וְא֥וֹן בֶּן־פֶּ֖לֶת בְּנֵ֥י רְאוּבֵֽן׃ Numbers Num 16:1 Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took action,(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:2 ============ Num 16:2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:(KJV) Numbers 16:2 And they rose vp against Moses, with certaine of the children of Israel, two hundreth and fiftie captaines of the assemblie, famous in the Congregation, and men of renoume,(Geneva) Nombres 16:2 Ils se soulevèrent contre Moïse, avec deux cent cinquante hommes des enfants d'Israël, des principaux de l'assemblée, de ceux que l'on convoquait à l'assemblée, et qui étaient des gens de renom.(FR) 2 ׃16 וַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַאֲנָשִׁ֥ים מִבְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתָ֑יִם נְשִׂיאֵ֥י עֵדָ֛ה קְרִאֵ֥י מוֹעֵ֖ד אַנְשֵׁי־שֵֽׁם׃ Numbers Num 16:2 and they rose up before Moses, together with some of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, chosen in the assembly, men of renown.(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:3 ============ Num 16:3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?(KJV) Numbers 16:3 Who gathered themselues together against Moses, and against Aaron, and sayde vnto them, Ye take too much vpon you, seeing all the Congregation is holie, euery one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherfore then lift ye your selues aboue the Congregation of the Lorde?(Geneva) Nombres 16:3 Ils s'assemblèrent contre Moïse et Aaron, et leur dirent: C'en est assez! car toute l'assemblée, tous sont saints, et l'Eternel est au milieu d'eux. Pourquoi vous élevez-vous au-dessus de l'assemblée de l'Eternel?(FR) 3 ׃16 וַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּ עַל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֲלֵהֶם֮ רַב־לָכֶם֒ כִּ֤י כָל־הָֽעֵדָה֙ כֻּלָּ֣ם קְדֹשִׁ֔ים וּבְתוֹכָ֖ם יְהוָ֑ה וּמַדּ֥וּעַ תִּֽתְנַשְּׂא֖וּ עַל־קְהַ֥ל יְהוָֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:3 They assembled together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "You have gone far enough, for all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is in their midst; so why do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?"(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:4 ============ Num 16:4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:(KJV) Numbers 16:4 But when Moses heard it, hee fell vpon his face,(Geneva) Nombres 16:4 Quand Moïse eut entendu cela, il tomba sur son visage.(FR) 4 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיִּפֹּ֖ל עַל־פָּנָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 16:4 When Moses heard this, he fell on his face;(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:5 ============ Num 16:5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.(KJV) Numbers 16:5 And spake to Korah and vnto all his companie, saying, To morow the Lord will shew who is his, and who is holy, and who ought to approche neere vnto him: and whom he hath chosen, hee will cause to come neere to him.(Geneva) Nombres 16:5 Il parla à Koré et à toute sa troupe, en disant: Demain, l'Eternel fera connaître qui est à lui et qui est saint, et il le fera approcher de lui; il fera approcher de lui celui qu'il choisira.(FR) 5 ׃16 וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־קֹ֜רַח וְאֶֽל־כָּל־עֲדָתוֹ֮ לֵאמֹר֒ בֹּ֠קֶר וְיֹדַ֨ע יְהוָ֧ה אֶת־אֲשֶׁר־ל֛וֹ וְאֶת־הַקָּד֖וֹשׁ וְהִקְרִ֣יב אֵלָ֑יו וְאֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַר־בּ֖וֹ יַקְרִ֥יב אֵלָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 16:5 and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, "Tomorrow morning the Lord will show who is His, and who is holy, and will bring him near to Himself; even the one whom He will choose, He will bring near to Himself.(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:6 ============ Num 16:6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;(KJV) Numbers 16:6 This doe therefore, Take you censers, both Korah, and all his companie,(Geneva) Nombres 16:6 Faites ceci. Prenez des brasiers, Koré et toute sa troupe.(FR) 6 ׃16 זֹ֖את עֲשׂ֑וּ קְחוּ־לָכֶ֣ם מַחְתּ֔וֹת קֹ֖רַח וְכָל־עֲדָתֽוֹ׃ Numbers Num 16:6 Do this: take censers for yourselves, Korah and all your company,(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:7 ============ Num 16:7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.(KJV) Numbers 16:7 And put fire therein, and put incense in the before the Lord to morowe: and the man whome the Lord doeth chuse, the same shalbe holie: ye take too much vpon you, ye sonnes of Leui.(Geneva) Nombres 16:7 Demain, mettez-y du feu, et posez-y du parfum devant l'Eternel; celui que l'Eternel choisira, c'est celui-là qui sera saint. You have gone far enough, you sons of Levi!"(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:8 ============ Num 16:8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:(KJV) Numbers 16:8 Againe Moses saide vnto Korah, Heare, I pray you, ye sonnes of Leui.(Geneva) Nombres 16:8 Moïse dit à Koré: Ecoutez donc, enfants de Lévi:(FR) 8 ׃16 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־קֹ֑רַח שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י לֵוִֽי׃ Numbers Num 16:8 Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi,(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:9 ============ Num 16:9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?(KJV) Numbers 16:9 Seemeth it a smal thing vnto you that the God of Israel hath separated you from the multitude of Israel, to take you neere to himselfe, to doe the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Lord, & to stand before the Congregation and to minister vnto them?(Geneva) Nombres 16:9 Est-ce trop peu pour vous que le Dieu d'Israël vous ait choisis dans l'assemblée d'Israël, en vous faisant approcher de lui, afin que vous soyez employés au service du tabernacle de l'Eternel, et que vous vous présentiez devant l'assemblée pour la servir?(FR) 9 ׃16 הַמְעַ֣ט מִכֶּ֗ם כִּֽי־הִבְדִּיל֩ אֱלֹהֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵעֲדַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהַקְרִ֥יב אֶתְכֶ֖ם אֵלָ֑יו לַעֲבֹ֗ד אֶת־עֲבֹדַת֙ מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֔ה וְלַעֲמֹ֛ד לִפְנֵ֥י הָעֵדָ֖ה לְשָׁרְתָֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:9 is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them;(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:10 ============ Num 16:10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?(KJV) Numbers 16:10 He hath also taken thee to him, and all thy brethren the sonnes of Leui with thee, and seeke ye the office of the Priest also?(Geneva) Nombres 16:10 Il vous a fait approcher de lui, toi, et tous tes frères, les enfants de Lévi, et vous voulez encore le sacerdoce!(FR) 10 ׃16 וַיַּקְרֵב֙ אֹֽתְךָ֔ וְאֶת־כָּל־אַחֶ֥יךָ בְנֵי־לֵוִ֖י אִתָּ֑ךְ וּבִקַּשְׁתֶּ֖ם גַּם־כְּהֻנָּֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:10 and that He has brought you near, Korah, and all your brothers, sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking for the priesthood also?(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:11 ============ Num 16:11 For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?(KJV) Numbers 16:11 For which cause, thou, and all thy companie are gathered together against the Lord: and what is Aaron, that ye murmure against him?(Geneva) Nombres 16:11 C'est à cause de cela que toi et toute ta troupe, vous vous assemblez contre l'Eternel! car qui est Aaron, pour que vous murmuriez contre lui?(FR) 11 ׃16 לָכֵ֗ן אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־עֲדָ֣תְךָ֔ הַנֹּעָדִ֖ים עַל־יְהוָ֑ה וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן מַה־ה֔וּא כִּ֥י *תלונו **תַלִּ֖ינוּ עָלָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 16:11 Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord; but as for Aaron, who is he that you grumble against him?"(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:12 ============ Num 16:12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:(KJV) Numbers 16:12 And Moses sent to call Dathan, & Abiram the sonnes of Eliab: who answered, We will not come vp.(Geneva) Nombres 16:12 Moïse envoya appeler Dathan et Abiram, fils d'Eliab. Mais ils dirent: Nous ne monterons pas.(FR) 12 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִקְרֹ֛א לְדָתָ֥ן וְלַאֲבִירָ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י אֱלִיאָ֑ב וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ לֹ֥א נַעֲלֶֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:12 Then Moses sent a summons to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; but they said, "We will not come up.(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:13 ============ Num 16:13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?(KJV) Numbers 16:13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought vs out of a lande that floweth with milke and honie, to kill vs in the wildernesse, except thou make thy selfe lord and ruler ouer vs also?(Geneva) Nombres 16:13 N'est-ce pas assez que tu nous aies fait sortir d'un pays où coulent le lait et le miel pour nous faire mourir au désert, sans que tu continues à dominer sur nous?(FR) 13 ׃16 הַמְעַ֗ט כִּ֤י הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֙נוּ֙ מֵאֶ֨רֶץ זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ לַהֲמִיתֵ֖נוּ בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר כִּֽי־תִשְׂתָּרֵ֥ר עָלֵ֖ינוּ גַּם־הִשְׂתָּרֵֽר׃ Numbers Num 16:13 Is it not enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to have us die in the wilderness, but you would also lord it over us?(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:14 ============ Num 16:14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.(KJV) Numbers 16:14 Also thou hast not brought vs vnto a land that floweth with milke and honie, neither giuen vs inheritance of fieldes and vineyardes: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come vp.(Geneva) Nombres 16:14 Et ce n'est pas dans un pays où coulent le lait et le miel que tu nous as menés, ce ne sont pas des champs et des vignes que tu nous as donnés en possession. Nous ne monterons pas.(FR) 14 ׃16 אַ֡ף לֹ֣א אֶל־אֶרֶץ֩ זָבַ֨ת חָלָ֤ב וּדְבַשׁ֙ הֲבִ֣יאֹתָ֔נוּ וַתִּ֨תֶּן־לָ֔נוּ נַחֲלַ֖ת שָׂדֶ֣ה וָכָ֑רֶם הַעֵינֵ֞י הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים הָהֵ֛ם תְּנַקֵּ֖ר לֹ֥א נַעֲלֶֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:14 Indeed, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Would you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!"(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:15 ============ Num 16:15 And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.(KJV) Numbers 16:15 Then Moses waxed verie angry, and saide vnto the Lord, Looke not vnto their offring: I haue not taken so much as an asse from them, neither haue I hurt any of them.(Geneva) Nombres 16:15 Moïse fut très irrité, et il dit à l'Eternel: N'aie point égard à leur offrande. Je ne leur ai pas même pris un âne, et je n'ai fait de mal à aucun d'eux.(FR) 15 ׃16 וַיִּ֤חַר לְמֹשֶׁה֙ מְאֹ֔ד וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה אַל־תֵּ֖פֶן אֶל־מִנְחָתָ֑ם לֹ֠א חֲמ֨וֹר אֶחָ֤ד מֵהֶם֙ נָשָׂ֔אתִי וְלֹ֥א הֲרֵעֹ֖תִי אֶת־אַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:15 Then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord, "Do not regard their offering! I have not taken a single donkey from them, nor have I done harm to any of them."(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:16 ============ Num 16:16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:(KJV) Numbers 16:16 And Moses said vnto Korah, Bee thou and al thy companie before the Lord: both thou, they, and Aaron to morowe:(Geneva) Nombres 16:16 Moïse dit à Koré: Toi et toute ta troupe, trouvez-vous demain devant l'Eternel, toi et eux, avec Aaron.(FR) 16 ׃16 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־קֹ֔רַח אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־עֲדָ֣תְךָ֔ הֱי֖וּ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה אַתָּ֥ה וָהֵ֛ם וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן מָחָֽר׃ Numbers Num 16:16 Moses said to Korah, "You and all your company be present before the Lord tomorrow, both you and they along with Aaron.(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:17 ============ Num 16:17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.(KJV) Numbers 16:17 And take euery man his censor, and put incense in them, and bring ye euery man his censor before the Lord, two hundreth and fiftie censors: thou also and Aaron, euery one his censor.(Geneva) Nombres 16:17 Prenez chacun votre brasier, mettez-y du parfum, et présentez devant l'Eternel chacun votre brasier: il y aura deux cent cinquante brasiers; toi et Aaron, vous prendrez aussi chacun votre brasier.(FR) 17 ׃16 וּקְח֣וּ ׀ אִ֣ישׁ מַחְתָּת֗וֹ וּנְתַתֶּ֤ם עֲלֵיהֶם֙ קְטֹ֔רֶת וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֞ם לִפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ אִ֣ישׁ מַחְתָּת֔וֹ חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמָאתַ֖יִם מַחְתֹּ֑ת וְאַתָּ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן אִ֥ישׁ מַחְתָּתֽוֹ׃ Numbers Num 16:17 Each of you take his firepan and put incense on it, and each of you bring his censer before the Lord, two hundred and fifty firepans; also you and Aaron shall each bring his firepan."(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:18 ============ Num 16:18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.(KJV) Numbers 16:18 So they tooke euery man his censor, and put fire in them, and laide incense thereon, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation with Moses and Aaron.(Geneva) Nombres 16:18 Ils prirent chacun leur brasier, y mirent du feu et y posèrent du parfum, et ils se tinrent à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation, avec Moïse et Aaron.(FR) 18 ׃16 וַיִּקְח֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ מַחְתָּת֗וֹ וַיִּתְּנ֤וּ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ אֵ֔שׁ וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם קְטֹ֑רֶת וַֽיַּעַמְד֗וּ פֶּ֛תַח אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד וּמֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹֽן׃ Numbers Num 16:18 So they each took his own censer and put fire on it, and laid incense on it; and they stood at the doorway of the tent of meeting, with Moses and Aaron.(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:19 ============ Num 16:19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.(KJV) Numbers 16:19 And Korah gathered all the multitude against them vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation: then the glorie of the Lorde appeared vnto all the Congregation.(Geneva) Nombres 16:19 Et Koré convoqua toute l'assemblée contre Moïse et Aaron, à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation. Alors la gloire de l'Eternel apparut à toute l'assemblée.(FR) 19 ׃16 וַיַּקְהֵ֨ל עֲלֵיהֶ֥ם קֹ֙רַח֙ אֶת־כָּל־הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה אֶל־פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיֵּרָ֥א כְבוֹד־יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־כָּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃ פ Numbers Num 16:19 Thus Korah assembled all the congregation against them at the doorway of the tent of meeting. And the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:20 ============ Num 16:20 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,(KJV) Numbers 16:20 And the Lorde spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying,(Geneva) Nombres 16:20 Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, et dit:(FR) 20 ׃16 וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ Numbers Num 16:20 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:21 ============ Num 16:21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.(KJV) Numbers 16:21 Separate your selues from among this Cogregation, that I may consume them at once.(Geneva) Nombres 16:21 Séparez-vous du milieu de cette assemblée, et je les consumerai en un seul instant.(FR) 21 ׃16 הִבָּ֣דְל֔וּ מִתּ֖וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את וַאַכַלֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם כְּרָֽגַע׃ Numbers Num 16:21 "Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them instantly."(nasb) ======= Numbers 16:22 ============ Num 16:22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?(KJV) Numbers 16:22 And they fell vpon their faces and saide, O God the God of the spirits, of all fleshe, hath not one man onely sinned, and wilt thou bee wroth with all the Congregation?(Geneva) Nombres 16:22 Ils tombèrent sur leur visage, et dirent: O Dieu, Dieu des esprits de toute chair!
