Today's Date: 4/4/2025 ======= Deuteronomy 7:1 ============ Deu 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:1 When the Lorde thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possesse it, and shall roote out many nations before thee: the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hiuites, and the Iebusites, seuen nations greater and mightier then thou,(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:1 Lorsque l'Eternel, ton Dieu, t'aura fait entrer dans le pays dont tu vas prendre possession, et qu'il chassera devant toi beaucoup de nations, les Héthiens, les Guirgasiens, les Amoréens, les Cananéens, les Phéréziens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens, sept nations plus nombreuses et plus puissantes que toi;(FR) 1 ׃7 כִּ֤י יְבִֽיאֲךָ֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ אֶל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה בָא־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּ֑הּ וְנָשַׁ֣ל גּֽוֹיִם־רַבִּ֣ים ׀ מִפָּנֶ֡יךָ הַֽחִתִּי֩ וְהַגִּרְגָּשִׁ֨י וְהָאֱמֹרִ֜י וְהַכְּנַעֲנִ֣י וְהַפְּרִזִּ֗י וְהַֽחִוִּי֙ וְהַיְבוּסִ֔י שִׁבְעָ֣ה גוֹיִ֔ם רַבִּ֥ים וַעֲצוּמִ֖ים מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:1 "When the Lord your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you,(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:2 ============ Deu 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:2 And the Lord thy God shal giue them before thee, then thou shalt smite them: thou shalt vtterly destroy them: thou shalt make no couenant with them, nor haue compassion on them,(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:2 lorsque l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te les aura livrées et que tu les auras battues, tu les dévoueras par interdit, tu ne traiteras point d'alliance avec elles, et tu ne leur feras point grâce.(FR) 2 ׃7 וּנְתָנָ֞ם יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ לְפָנֶ֖יךָ וְהִכִּיתָ֑ם הַחֲרֵ֤ם תַּחֲרִים֙ אֹתָ֔ם לֹא־תִכְרֹ֥ת לָהֶ֛ם בְּרִ֖ית וְלֹ֥א תְחָנֵּֽם׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:2 and when the Lord your God delivers them before you and you defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:3 ============ Deu 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them, neither giue thy daughter vnto his sonne, nor take his daughter vnto thy sonne.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:3 Tu ne contracteras point de mariage avec ces peuples, tu ne donneras point tes filles à leurs fils, et tu ne prendras point leurs filles pour tes fils;(FR) 3 ׃7 וְלֹ֥א תִתְחַתֵּ֖ן בָּ֑ם בִּתְּךָ֙ לֹא־תִתֵּ֣ן לִבְנ֔וֹ וּבִתּ֖וֹ לֹא־תִקַּ֥ח לִבְנֶֽךָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:3 Furthermore, you shall not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor shall you take their daughters for your sons.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:4 ============ Deu 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:4 For they wil cause thy sonne to turne away from me, and to serue other gods: then will the wrath of the Lord waxe hote against you and destroy thee suddenly.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:4 car ils détourneraient de moi tes fils, qui serviraient d'autres dieux, et la colère de l'Eternel s'enflammerait contre vous: il te détruirait promptement.(FR) 4 ׃7 כִּֽי־יָסִ֤יר אֶת־בִּנְךָ֙ מֵֽאַחֲרַ֔י וְעָבְד֖וּ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וְחָרָ֤ה אַף־יְהוָה֙ בָּכֶ֔ם וְהִשְׁמִידְךָ֖ מַהֵֽר׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me to serve other gods; then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you and He will quickly destroy you.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:5 ============ Deu 7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:5 But thus ye shal deale with them, Ye shal ouerthrowe their altars, and breake downe their pillars, and ye shall cut downe their groues, and burne their grauen images with fire.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:5 Voici, au contraire, comment vous agirez à leur égard: vous renverserez leurs autels, vous briserez leurs statues, vous abattrez leurs idoles, et vous brûlerez au feu leurs images taillées.(FR) 5 ׃7 כִּֽי־אִם־כֹּ֤ה תַעֲשׂוּ֙ לָהֶ֔ם מִזְבְּחֹתֵיהֶ֣ם תִּתֹּ֔צוּ וּמַצֵּבֹתָ֖ם תְּשַׁבֵּ֑רוּ וַאֲשֵֽׁירֵהֶם֙ תְּגַדֵּע֔וּן וּפְסִילֵיהֶ֖ם תִּשְׂרְפ֥וּן בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:5 But thus you shall do to them: you shall tear down their altars, and smash their sacred pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:6 ============ Deu 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:6 For thou art an holy people vnto the Lord thy God, the Lorde thy God hath chosen thee, to be a precious people vnto himselfe, aboue all people that are vpon the earth.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:6 Car tu es un peuple saint pour l'Eternel, ton Dieu; for ye were the fewest of all people:(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:7 The Lord did not set his loue vpon you, nor chose you, because ye were mo in number then any people: for ye were the fewest of all people:(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:7 Ce n'est point parce que vous surpassez en nombre tous les peuples, que l'Eternel s'est attaché à vous et qu'il vous a choisis, car vous êtes le moindre de tous les peuples.(FR) 7 ׃7 לֹ֣א מֵֽרֻבְּכֶ֞ם מִכָּל־הָֽעַמִּ֗ים חָשַׁ֧ק יְהוָ֛ה בָּכֶ֖ם וַיִּבְחַ֣ר בָּכֶ֑ם כִּֽי־אַתֶּ֥ם הַמְעַ֖ט מִכָּל־הָעַמִּֽים׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:7 "The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples,(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:8 ============ Deu 7:8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:8 But because the Lord loued you, and because hee would keepe the othe which hee had sworne vnto your fathers, the Lord hath brought you out by a mightie hand, and deliuered you out of the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt,(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:8 Mais, parce que l'Eternel vous aime, parce qu'il a voulu tenir le serment qu'il avait fait à vos pères, l'Eternel vous a fait sortir par sa main puissante, vous a délivrés de la maison de servitude, de la main de Pharaon, roi d'Egypte.(FR) 8 ׃7 כִּי֩ מֵֽאַהֲבַ֨ת יְהוָ֜ה אֶתְכֶ֗ם וּמִשָּׁמְר֤ו[t] אֶת־הַשְּׁבֻעָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁבַּע֙ לַאֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם הוֹצִ֧יא יְהוָ֛ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּיָ֣ד חֲזָקָ֑ה וַֽיִּפְדְּךָ֙ מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִ֔ים מִיַּ֖ד פַּרְעֹ֥ה מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:8 but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:9 ============ Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:9 That thou mayest knowe, that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithfull God which keepeth couenant and mercie vnto them that loue him and keepe his commaundements, euen to a thousand generations,(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:9 Sache donc que c'est l'Eternel, ton Dieu, qui est Dieu. Ce Dieu fidèle garde son alliance et sa miséricorde jusqu'à la millième génération envers ceux qui l'aiment et qui observent ses commandements.(FR) 9 ׃7 וְיָ֣דַעְתָּ֔ כִּֽי־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ ה֣וּא הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֑ים הָאֵל֙ הַֽנֶּאֱמָ֔ן שֹׁמֵ֧ר הַבְּרִ֣ית וְהַחֶ֗סֶד לְאֹהֲבָ֛יו וּלְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י *מצותו **מִצְוֺתָ֖יו לְאֶ֥לֶף דּֽוֹר׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:10 ============ Deu 7:10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:10 And rewardeth them to their face that hate him, to bring them to destruction: he wil not deferre to reward him that hateth him, to his face.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:10 Mais il use directement de représailles envers ceux qui le haïssent, et il les fait périr; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock, in the land which He swore to your forefathers to give you.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:14 ============ Deu 7:14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:14 Thou shalt be blessed aboue all people: there shall be neither male nor female barren among you, nor among your cattell.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:14 Tu seras béni plus que tous les peuples; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:15 Moreouer, the Lorde will take away from thee all infirmities, and will put none of the euill diseases of Egypt (which thou knowest) vpon thee, but wil send them vpon all that hate thee.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:15 L'Eternel éloignera de toi toute maladie; il ne t'enverra aucune de ces mauvaises maladies d'Egypte qui te sont connues, mais il en frappera tous ceux qui te haïssent.(FR) 15 ׃7 וְהֵסִ֧יר יְהוָ֛ה מִמְּךָ֖ כָּל־חֹ֑לִי וְכָל־מַדְוֵי֩ מִצְרַ֨יִם הָרָעִ֜ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָדַ֗עְתָּ לֹ֤א יְשִׂימָם֙ בָּ֔ךְ וּנְתָנָ֖ם בְּכָל־שֹׂנְאֶֽיךָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:15 The Lord will remove from you all sickness; and He will not put on you any of the harmful diseases of Egypt which you have known, but He will lay them on all who hate you.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:16 ============ Deu 7:16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:16 Thou shalt therefore consume all people which the Lord thy God shall giue thee: thine eye shall not spare them, neither shalt thou serue their gods, for that shalbe thy destruction.(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:16 Tu dévoreras tous les peuples que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, va te livrer, tu ne jetteras pas sur eux un regard de pitié, et tu ne serviras point leurs dieux, car ce serait un piège pour toi.(FR) 16 ׃7 וְאָכַלְתָּ֣ אֶת־כָּל־הָֽעַמִּ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ נֹתֵ֣ן לָ֔ךְ לֹא־תָחֹ֥ס עֵֽינְךָ֖ עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְלֹ֤א תַעֲבֹד֙ אֶת־אֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם כִּֽי־מוֹקֵ֥שׁ ה֖וּא לָֽךְ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 7:16 You shall consume all the peoples whom the Lord your God will deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them, nor shall you serve their gods, for that would be a snare to you.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:17 ============ Deu 7:17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:17 If thou say in thine heart, These nations are moe then I, how can I cast them out?(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:17 Peut-être diras-tu dans ton coeur: Ces nations sont plus nombreuses que moi; comment pourrai-je les chasser?(FR) 17 ׃7 כִּ֤י תֹאמַר֙ בִּלְבָ֣בְךָ֔ רַבִּ֛ים הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֖לֶּה מִמֶּ֑נִּי אֵיכָ֥ה אוּכַ֖ל לְהוֹרִישָֽׁם׃ Deuteronomy Deu 7:17 "If you should say in your heart, 'These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?'(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 7:18 ============ Deu 7:18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;(KJV) Deuteronomy 7:18 Thou shalt not feare them, but remember what the Lord thy God did vnto Pharaoh, and vnto all Egypt:(Geneva) Deutéronome 7:18 Ne les crains point.
