It would eat of his bread and drink of his cup and lie in his bosom, And was like a daughter to him. (nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 12:4 ============ 2Sa 12:4 And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.(KJV) 2 Samuel 12:4 Now there came a stranger vnto the rich man, who refused to take of his owne sheepe, and of his owne oxen to dresse for the stranger that was come vnto him, but tooke the poore mans sheepe, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 12:4 Un voyageur arriva chez l'homme riche. Et le riche n'a pas voulu toucher à ses brebis ou à ses boeufs, pour préparer un repas au voyageur qui était venu chez lui; il a pris la brebis du pauvre, et l'a apprêtée pour l'homme qui était venu chez lui.(FR) 4 ׃12 וַיָּ֣בֹא הֵלֶךְ֮ לְאִ֣ישׁ הֽ͏ֶעָשִׁיר֒ וַיַּחְמֹ֗ל לָקַ֤חַת מִצֹּאנוֹ֙ וּמִבְּקָר֔וֹ לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת לָאֹרֵ֖חַ הַבָּא־ל֑וֹ וַיִּקַּ֗ח אֶת־כִּבְשַׂת֙ הָאִ֣ישׁ הָרָ֔אשׁ וַֽיַּעֲשֶׂ֔הָ לָאִ֖ישׁ הַבָּ֥א אֵלָֽיו׃ Samuel2 2Sa 12:4 "Now a traveler came to the rich man, And he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd, To prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him; Rather he took the poor man's ewe lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him."(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 12:5 ============ 2Sa 12:5 And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:(KJV) 2 Samuel 12:5 Then Dauid was exceeding wroth with the man, and sayde to Nathan, As the Lorde liueth, the man that hath done this thing, shall surely dye,(Geneva) 2 Samuel 12:5 La colère de David s'enflamma violemment contre cet homme, et il dit à Nathan: L'Eternel est vivant! L'homme qui a fait cela mérite la mort.(FR) 5 ׃12 וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֥ף דָּוִ֛ד בָּאִ֖ישׁ מְאֹ֑ד וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־נָתָ֔ן חַי־יְהוָ֕ה כִּ֣י בֶן־מָ֔וֶת הָאִ֖ישׁ הָעֹשֶׂ֥ה זֹֽאת׃ Samuel2 2Sa 12:5 Then David's anger burned greatly against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the Lord lives, surely the man who has done this deserves to die.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 12:6 ============ 2Sa 12:6 And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.(KJV) 2 Samuel 12:6 And he shall restore the lambe foure folde, because he did this thing, and had no pitie thereof.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 12:6 Et il rendra quatre brebis, pour avoir commis cette action et pour avoir été sans pitié.(FR) 6 ׃12 וְאֶת־הַכִּבְשָׂ֖ה יְשַׁלֵּ֣ם אַרְבַּעְתָּ֑יִם עֵ֗קֶב אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשָׂה֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וְעַ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־חָמָֽל׃ Samuel2 2Sa 12:6 He must make restitution for the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and had no compassion."(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 12:7 ============ 2Sa 12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus says the Lord God of Israel, 'It is I who anointed you king over Israel and it is I who delivered you from the hand of Saul.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 12:8 ============ 2Sa 12:8 And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.(KJV) 2 Samuel 12:8 And gaue thee thy lordes house, and thy lords wiues into thy bosome, and gaue thee the house of Israel, and of Iudah, and would moreouer (if that had bene too litle) haue giuen thee such and such things.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 12:8 je t'ai mis en possession de la maison de ton maître, j'ai placé dans ton sein les femmes de ton maître, et je t'ai donné la maison d'Israël et de Juda. Tu as frappé de l'épée Urie, le Héthien; tu as pris sa femme pour en faire ta femme, et lui, tu l'as tué par l'épée des fils d'Ammon.(FR) 9 ׃12 מַדּ֜וּעַ בָּזִ֣יתָ ׀ אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת הָרַע֮ *בעינו **בְּעֵינַי֒ אֵ֣ת אוּרִיָּ֤ה הַֽחִתִּי֙ הִכִּ֣יתָ בַחֶ֔רֶב וְאֶ֨ת־אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ לָקַ֥חְתָּ לְּךָ֖ לְאִשָּׁ֑ה וְאֹת֣וֹ הָרַ֔גְתָּ בְּחֶ֖רֶב בְּנֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹן׃ Samuel2 2Sa 12:9 Why have you despised the word of the Lord by doing evil in His sight? And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?(KJV) 2 Samuel 12:18 So on the seuenth day the child dyed: and the seruants of Dauid feared to tell him that the childe was dead: for they sayde, Beholde, while the childe was aliue, we spake vnto him, and he woulde not hearken vnto our voyce: how then shall we say vnto him, The childe is dead, to vexe him more?(Geneva) 2 Samuel 12:18 Le septième jour, l'enfant mourut. Les serviteurs de David craignaient de lui annoncer que l'enfant était mort. Car ils disaient: Voici, lorsque l'enfant vivait encore, nous lui avons parlé, et il ne nous a pas écoutés; comment oserons-nous lui dire: L'enfant est mort? Il s'affligera bien davantage.(FR) 18 ׃12 וַיְהִ֛י בַּיּ֥וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י וַיָּ֣מָת הַיָּ֑לֶד וַיִּֽרְאוּ֩ עַבְדֵ֨י דָוִ֜ד לְהַגִּ֥יד ל֣וֹ ׀ כִּי־מֵ֣ת הַיֶּ֗לֶד כִּ֤י אָֽמְרוּ֙ הִנֵּה֩ בִהְי֨וֹת הַיֶּ֜לֶד חַ֗י דִּבַּ֤רְנוּ אֵלָיו֙ וְלֹא־שָׁמַ֣ע בְּקוֹלֵ֔נוּ וְאֵ֨יךְ נֹאמַ֥ר אֵלָ֛יו מֵ֥ת הַיֶּ֖לֶד וְעָשָׂ֥ה רָעָֽה׃ Samuel2 2Sa 12:18 Then it happened on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, "Behold, while the child was still alive, we spoke to him and he did not listen to our voice. How then can we tell him that the child is dead, since he might do himself harm!"(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 12:19 ============ 2Sa 12:19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? Et ils répondirent: Il est mort.(FR) 19 ׃12 וַיַּ֣רְא דָּוִ֗ד כִּ֤י עֲבָדָיו֙ מִֽתְלַחֲשִׁ֔ים וַיָּ֥בֶן דָּוִ֖ד כִּ֣י מֵ֣ת הַיָּ֑לֶד וַיֹּ֨אמֶר דָּוִ֧ד אֶל־עֲבָדָ֛יו הֲמֵ֥ת הַיֶּ֖לֶד וַיֹּ֥אמְרוּ מֵֽת׃ Samuel2 2Sa 12:19 But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; so David said to his servants, "Is the child dead?"
