Car ce sont tous des adultères, C'est une troupe de perfides.(FR) 1 ׃9 מִֽי־יִתְּנֵ֣נִי בַמִּדְבָּ֗ר מְלוֹן֙ אֹֽרְחִ֔ים וְאֶֽעֶזְבָה֙ אֶת־עַמִּ֔י וְאֵלְכָ֖ה מֵֽאִתָּ֑ם כִּ֤י כֻלָּם֙ מְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים עֲצֶ֖רֶת בֹּגְדִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:2 Oh that I had in the desert A wayfarers' lodging place; That I might leave my people And go from them! For all of them are adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:3 ============ Jer 9:3 And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:3 And they bende their tongues like their bowes for lyes: but they haue no courage for the trueth vpon the earth: for they proceede from euill to worse, and they haue not knowen mee, sayth the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:3 Ils ont la langue tendue comme un arc et lancent le mensonge; Ce n'est pas par la vérité qu'ils sont puissants dans le pays; Car ils vont de méchanceté en méchanceté, Et ils ne me connaissent pas, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 2 ׃9 וַֽיַּדְרְכ֤וּ אֶת־לְשׁוֹנָם֙ קַשְׁתָּ֣ם שֶׁ֔קֶר וְלֹ֥א לֶאֱמוּנָ֖ה גָּבְר֣וּ בָאָ֑רֶץ כִּי֩ מֵרָעָ֨ה אֶל־רָעָ֧ה ׀ יָצָ֛אוּ וְאֹתִ֥י לֹֽא־יָדָ֖עוּ נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:3 "They bend their tongue like their bow; Lies and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:4 ============ Jer 9:4 Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:4 Let euery one take heede of his neighbour, and trust you not in any brother: for euery brother will vse deceite, and euery friend will deale deceitfully,(Geneva) Jérémie 9:4 Que chacun se tienne en garde contre son ami, Et qu'on ne se fie à aucun de ses frères; Car tout frère cherche à tromper, Et tout ami répand des calomnies.(FR) 3 ׃9 אִ֤ישׁ מֵרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ הִשָּׁמֵ֔רוּ וְעַל־כָּל־אָ֖ח אַל־תִּבְטָ֑חוּ כִּ֤י כָל־אָח֙ עָק֣וֹב יַעְקֹ֔ב וְכָל־רֵ֖עַ רָכִ֥יל יַהֲלֹֽךְ׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:4 "Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother deals craftily, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:5 ============ Jer 9:5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:5 And euery one wil deceiue his friende, and wil not speake the trueth: for they haue taught their tongues to speake lies, and take great paynes to do wickedly.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:5 Ils se jouent les uns des autres, Et ne disent point la vérité; Ils exercent leur langue à mentir, Ils s'étudient à faire le mal.(FR) 4 ׃9 וְאִ֤ישׁ בְּרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ יְהָתֵ֔לּוּ וֶאֱמֶ֖ת לֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ לִמְּד֧וּ לְשׁוֹנָ֛ם דַּבֶּר־שֶׁ֖קֶר הַעֲוֵ֥ה נִלְאֽוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:5 "Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth, They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:6 ============ Jer 9:6 Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:6 Thine habitation is in the middes of deceiuers: because of their deceit they refuse to know me, sayth the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:6 Ta demeure est au sein de la fausseté; C'est par fausseté qu'ils refusent de me connaître, Dit l'Eternel.(FR) 5 ׃9 שִׁבְתְּךָ֖ בְּת֣וֹךְ מִרְמָ֑ה בְּמִרְמָ֛ה מֵאֲנ֥וּ דַֽעַת־אוֹתִ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:6 "Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:7 ============ Jer 9:7 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?(KJV) Jeremiah 9:7 Therefore thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Behold, I wil melt them, & trie them: for what should I els do for the daughter of my people?(Geneva) Jérémie 9:7 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Voici je les sonderai, je les éprouverai. Car comment agir à l'égard de la fille de mon peuple?(FR) 6 ׃9 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י צוֹרְפָ֖ם וּבְחַנְתִּ֑ים כִּֽי־אֵ֣יךְ אֶעֱשֶׂ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י בַּת־עַמִּֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:7 Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts," Behold, I will refine them and assay them; For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:9 ============ Jer 9:9 Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?(KJV) Jeremiah 9:9 Shal I not visit them for these things, saith the Lorde? Or shall not my soule be auenged on such a nation as this?(Geneva) Jérémie 9:9 Ne les châtierais-je pas pour ces choses-là, dit l'Eternel, Ne me vengerais-je pas d'une pareille nation?(FR) 8 ׃9 הַעַל־אֵ֥לֶּה לֹֽא־אֶפְקָד־בָּ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה אִ֚ם בְּג֣וֹי אֲשֶׁר־כָּזֶ֔ה לֹ֥א תִתְנַקֵּ֖ם נַפְשִֽׁי׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:9 "Shall I not punish them for these things?" declares the Lord. "On a nation such as this Shall I not avenge Myself? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:10 ============ Jer 9:10 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:10 Vpon the mountaines will I take vp a weeping and a lamentation, and vpon the fayre places of the wildernes a mourning, because they are burnt vp: so that none can passe through them, neyther can men heare the voyce of the flocke: both the foule of the aire, and the beast are fled away and gone.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:10 Sur les montagnes je veux pleurer et gémir, Sur les plaines du désert je prononce une complainte; Car elles sont brûlées, personne n'y passe, On n'y entend plus la voix des troupeaux; Les oiseaux du ciel et les bêtes ont pris la fuite, ont disparu. -(FR) 9 ׃9 עַל־הֶ֨הָרִ֜ים אֶשָּׂ֧א בְכִ֣י וָנֶ֗הִי וְעַל־נְא֤וֹת מִדְבָּר֙ קִינָ֔ה כִּ֤י נִצְּתוּ֙ מִבְּלִי־אִ֣ישׁ עֹבֵ֔ר וְלֹ֥א שָׁמְע֖וּ ק֣וֹל מִקְנֶ֑ה מֵע֤וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וְעַד־בְּהֵמָ֔ה נָדְד֖וּ הָלָֽכוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:10 "For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, And for the pastures of the wilderness a dirge, Because they are laid waste so that no one passes through, And the lowing of the cattle is not heard; Both the birds of the sky and the beasts have fled; they are gone. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:11 ============ Jer 9:11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:11 And I wil make Ierusalem an heape, and a den of dragons, & I will make the cities of Iudah waste, without an inhabitant.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:11 Je ferai de Jérusalem un monceau de ruines, un repaire de chacals, Et je réduirai les villes de Juda en un désert sans habitants. -(FR) 10 ׃9 וְנָתַתִּ֧י אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ֛͏ִם לְגַלִּ֖ים מְע֣וֹן תַּנִּ֑ים וְאֶת־עָרֵ֧י יְהוּדָ֛ה אֶתֵּ֥ן שְׁמָמָ֖ה מִבְּלִ֥י יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:11 "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, A haunt of jackals; And I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:12 ============ Jer 9:12 Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?(KJV) Jeremiah 9:12 Who is wise, to vnderstande this? And to whome the mouth of the Lorde hath spoken, euen he shal declare it. Pourquoi le pays est-il détruit, Brûlé comme un désert où personne ne passe?(FR) 11 ׃9 מִֽי־הָאִ֤ישׁ הֶֽחָכָם֙ וְיָבֵ֣ן אֶת־זֹ֔את וַאֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר פִּֽי־יְהוָ֛ה אֵלָ֖יו וְיַגִּדָ֑הּ עַל־מָה֙ אָבְדָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ נִצְּתָ֥ה כַמִּדְבָּ֖ר מִבְּלִֽ[m]י עֹבֵֽר׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:12 Who is the wise man that may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined, laid waste like a desert, so that no one passes through? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:13 ============ Jer 9:13 And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;(KJV) Jeremiah 9:13 And the Lorde sayeth, Because they haue forsaken my Lawe, which I set before them, and haue not obeyed my voice, neither walked thereafter,(Geneva) Jérémie 9:13 L'Eternel dit: C'est parce qu'ils ont abandonné ma loi, Que j'avais mise devant eux; Parce qu'ils n'ont point écouté ma voix, Et qu'ils ne l'ont point suivie;(FR) 12 ׃9 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־עָזְבָם֙ אֶת־תּ֣וֹרָתִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם וְלֹא־שָׁמְע֥וּ בְקוֹלִ֖י וְלֹא־הָ֥לְכוּ בָֽהּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:13 The Lord said, "Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:14 ============ Jer 9:14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:(KJV) Jeremiah 9:14 But haue walked after the stubbernesse of their owne heart, and after Baalims, which their fathers taught them,(Geneva) Jérémie 9:14 Parce qu'ils ont suivi les penchants de leur coeur, Et qu'ils sont allés après les Baals, Comme leurs pères le leur ont appris.(FR) 13 ׃9 וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ אַחֲרֵ֖י שְׁרִר֣וּת לִבָּ֑ם וְאַחֲרֵי֙ הַבְּעָלִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לִמְּד֖וּם אֲבוֹתָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:14 but have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them,"(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:15 ============ Jer 9:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:15 Therefore thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, the God of Israel, Behold, I will feede this people with wormewood, and giue them waters of gall to drinke:(Geneva) Jérémie 9:15 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais nourrir ce peuple d'absinthe, Et je lui ferai boire des eaux empoisonnées.(FR) 14 ׃9 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הִנְנִ֧י מַאֲכִילָ֛ם אֶת־הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה לַֽעֲנָ֑ה וְהִשְׁקִיתִ֖ים מֵי־רֹֽאשׁ׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:15 therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel,"behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:16 ============ Jer 9:16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:16 I wil scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers haue knowen, and I will send a sworde after them, til I haue consumed them.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:16 Je les disperserai parmi des nations Que n'ont connues ni eux ni leurs pères, Et j'enverrai derrière eux l'épée, Jusqu'à ce que je les aie exterminés.(FR) 15 ׃9 וַהֲפִֽצוֹתִים֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יָֽדְע֔וּ הֵ֖מָּה וַֽאֲבוֹתָ֑ם וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם֙ אֶת־הַחֶ֔רֶב עַ֥ד כַּלּוֹתִ֖י אוֹתָֽם׃ פ Jeremiah Jer 9:16 I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:17 ============ Jer 9:17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:(KJV) Jeremiah 9:17 Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes, Take heede, and call for the mourning women, that they may come, and send for skilfull women that they may come,(Geneva) Jérémie 9:17 Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Cherchez, appelez les pleureuses, et qu'elles viennent! Envoyez vers les femmes habiles, et qu'elles viennent!(FR) 16 ׃9 כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִתְבּֽוֹנְנ֛וּ וְקִרְא֥וּ לַמְקוֹנְנ֖וֹת וּתְבוֹאֶ֑ינָה וְאֶל־הַחֲכָמ֥וֹת שִׁלְח֖וּ וְתָבֽוֹאנָה׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:17 Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Consider and call for the mourning women, that they may come; And send for the wailing women, that they may come! (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:18 ============ Jer 9:18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:18 And let them make haste, & let them take vp a lamentation for vs, that our eyes may cast out teares & our eye liddes gush out of water.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:18 Qu'elles se hâtent de dire sur nous une complainte! Et que les larmes tombent de nos yeux, Que l'eau coule de nos paupières!(FR) 17 ׃9 וּתְמַהֵ֕רְנָה וְתִשֶּׂ֥נָה עָלֵ֖ינוּ נֶ֑הִי וְתֵרַ֤דְנָה עֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙ דִּמְעָ֔ה וְעַפְעַפֵּ֖ינוּ יִזְּלוּ־מָֽיִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:18 "Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us, That our eyes may shed tears And our eyelids flow with water. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:19 ============ Jer 9:19 For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:19 For a lamentable noyse is heard out of Zion, Howe are we destroyed, and vtterly confounded, for we haue forsaken the land, and our dwellings haue cast vs out.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:19 Car des cris lamentables se font entendre de Sion: Eh quoi! nous sommes détruits! Nous sommes couverts de honte! Il nous faut abandonner le pays! On a renversé nos demeures! -(FR) 18 ׃9 כִּ֣י ק֥וֹל נְהִ֛י נִשְׁמַ֥ע מִצִיּ֖וֹן אֵ֣יךְ שֻׁדָּ֑דְנוּ בֹּ֤שְׁנֽוּ מְאֹד֙ כִּֽי־עָזַ֣בְנוּ אָ֔רֶץ כִּ֥י הִשְׁלִ֖יכוּ מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 9:19 "For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion, 'How are we ruined! We are put to great shame, For we have left the land, Because they have cast down our dwellings.'"(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:20 ============ Jer 9:20 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:20 Therefore heare the worde of the Lord, O ye women, and let your eares regard the words of his mouth, & teach your daughters to mourne, and euery one her neighbour to lament.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:20 Femmes, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel, Et que votre oreille saisisse ce que dit sa bouche! Apprenez à vos filles des chants lugubres, Enseignez-vous des complaintes les unes aux autres!(FR) 19 ׃9 כִּֽי־שְׁמַ֤עְנָה נָשִׁים֙ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה וְתִקַּ֥ח אָזְנְכֶ֖ם דְּבַר־פִּ֑יו וְלַמֵּ֤דְנָה בְנֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ נֶ֔הִי וְאִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָ֖הּ קִינָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:20 Now hear the word of the Lord, O you women, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a dirge. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 9:21 ============ Jer 9:21 For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.(KJV) Jeremiah 9:21 For death is come vp into our windowes, and is entred into our palaces, to destroy the children without, and the yong men in the streetes.(Geneva) Jérémie 9:21 Car la mort est montée par nos fenêtres, Elle a pénétré dans nos palais; Elle extermine les enfants dans la rue, Les jeunes gens sur les places.(FR) 20 ׃9 כִּֽי־עָ֤לָה מָ֙וֶת֙ בְּחַלּוֹנֵ֔ינוּ בָּ֖א בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֵ֑ינוּ לְהַכְרִ֤ית עוֹלָל֙ מִח֔וּץ בַּחוּרִ֖ים מֵרְחֹבֽוֹת׃ Jeremiah Jer 9:21 For death has come up through our windows; It has entered our palaces To cut off the children from the streets, The young men from the town squares.
