Que la paix vous soit donnée avec abondance!(FR) 31 ׃3 נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר מַלְכָּ֗א לְֽכָל־עַֽמְמַיָּ֞א אֻמַיָּ֧א וְלִשָּׁנַיָּ֛א דִּֽי־*דארין **דָיְרִ֥ין בְּכָל־אַרְעָ֖א שְׁלָמְכ֥וֹן יִשְׂגֵּֽא׃ Daniel Dan 4:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king to all the peoples, nations, and men of every language that live in all the earth. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:2 ============ Dan 4:2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.(KJV) Daniel 4:2 (3:32) I thought it good to declare the signes and wonders, that the hie God hath wrought toward me.(Geneva) Daniel 4:2 Il m'a semblé bon de faire connaître les signes et les prodiges que le Dieu suprême a opérés à mon égard.(FR) 32 ׃3 אָֽתַיָּא֙ וְתִמְהַיָּ֔א דִּ֚י עֲבַ֣ד עִמִּ֔י אֱלָהָ֖א *עליא **עִלָּאָ֑ה שְׁפַ֥ר קֽ͏ָדָמַ֖י לְהַחֲוָיָֽה׃ Daniel Dan 4:2 It has seemed good to me to declare the signs and wonders which the Most High God has done for me. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:3 ============ Dan 4:3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.(KJV) Daniel 4:3 (3:33) How great are his signes, and how mightie are his wonders! his kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome, and his dominion is from generation to generation.(Geneva) Daniel 4:3 Que ses signes sont grands! que ses prodiges sont puissants! (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:5 ============ Dan 4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.(KJV) Daniel 4:5 (4:2) Saw a dreame, which made me afraide, and the thoughtes vpon my bed, and the visions of mine head troubled me.(Geneva) Daniel 4:5 J'ai eu un songe qui m'a effrayé; les pensées dont j'étais poursuivi sur ma couche et les visions de mon esprit me remplissaient d'épouvante.(FR) 2 ׃4 חֵ֥לֶם חֲזֵ֖ית וִֽידַחֲלִנַּ֑נִי וְהַרְהֹרִין֙ עַֽל־מִשְׁכְּבִ֔י וְחֶזְוֵ֥י רֵאשִׁ֖י יְבַהֲלֻנַּֽנִי׃ Daniel Dan 4:5 I saw a dream and it made me fearful; and these fantasies as I lay on my bed and the visions in my mind kept alarming me. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:6 ============ Dan 4:6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.(KJV) Daniel 4:6 (4:3) Therefore made I a decree, that they should bring all the wise men of Babel before mee, that they might declare vnto me the interpretation of the dreame.(Geneva) Daniel 4:6 J'ordonnai qu'on fît venir devant moi tous les sages de Babylone, afin qu'ils me donnassent l'explication du songe.(FR) 3 ׃4 וּמִנִּי֙ שִׂ֣ים טְעֵ֔ם לְהַנְעָלָ֣ה קָֽדָמַ֔י לְכֹ֖ל חַכִּימֵ֣י בָבֶ֑ל דִּֽי־פְשַׁ֥ר חֶלְמָ֖א יְהֽוֹדְעֻנַּֽנִי׃ Daniel Dan 4:6 So I gave orders to bring into my presence all the wise men of Babylon, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:7 ============ Dan 4:7 Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.(KJV) Daniel 4:7 (4:4) So came the inchanters, the astrologians, the Caldeans and the sothsayers, to whom I tolde the dreame, but they could not shew me the interpretation thereof,(Geneva) Daniel 4:7 Alors vinrent les magiciens, les astrologues, les Chaldéens et les devins. Je leur dis le songe, et ils ne m'en donnèrent point l'explication.(FR) 4 ׃4 בֵּאדַ֣יִן *עללין **עָלִּ֗ין חַרְטֻמַיָּא֙ אָֽשְׁפַיָּ֔א *כשדיא **כַּשְׂדָּאֵ֖י וְגָזְרַיָּ֑א וְחֶלְמָ֗א אָמַ֤ר אֲנָה֙ קֳדָ֣מֵיה֔וֹן וּפִשְׁרֵ֖הּ לָא־מְהוֹדְעִ֥ין לִֽי׃ Daniel Dan 4:7 Then the magicians, the conjurers, the Chaldeans and the diviners came in and I related the dream to them, but they could not make its interpretation known to me. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:8 ============ Dan 4:8 But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my God, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,(KJV) Daniel 4:8 (4:5) Till at the last Daniel came before mee, (whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, which hath the spirite of the holy gods in him) and before him I tolde the dreame, saying,(Geneva) Daniel 4:8 En dernier lieu, se présenta devant moi Daniel, nommé Beltschatsar d'après le nom de mon dieu, et qui a en lui l'esprit des dieux saints. Je lui dis le songe:(FR) 5 ׃4 וְעַ֣ד אָחֳרֵ֡ין עַל֩ קָֽדָמַ֨י דָּנִיֵּ֜אל דִּֽי־שְׁמֵ֤הּ בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּר֙ כְּשֻׁ֣ם אֱלָהִ֔י וְדִ֛י רֽוּחַ־אֱלָהִ֥ין קַדִּישִׁ֖ין בֵּ֑הּ וְחֶלְמָ֖א קָֽדָמ֥וֹהִי אַמְרֵֽת׃ Daniel Dan 4:8 But finally Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and I related the dream to him, saying, (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:9 ============ Dan 4:9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.(KJV) Daniel 4:9 (4:6) O Belteshazzar, chiefe of the enchanters, because I know, that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell mee the visions of my dreame, that I haue seene and the interpretation thereof.(Geneva) Daniel 4:9 Beltschatsar, chef des magiciens, qui as en toi, je le sais, l'esprit des dieux saints, et pour qui aucun secret n'est difficile, donne-moi l'explication des visions que j'ai eues en songe.(FR) 6 ׃4 בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּר֮ רַ֣ב חַרְטֻמַיָּא֒ דִּ֣י ׀ אֲנָ֣ה יִדְעֵ֗ת דִּ֠י ר֣וּחַ אֱלָהִ֤ין קַדִּישִׁין֙ בָּ֔ךְ וְכָל־רָ֖ז לָא־אָנֵ֣ס לָ֑ךְ חֶזְוֵ֨י חֶלְמִ֧י דִֽי־חֲזֵ֛ית וּפִשְׁרֵ֖הּ אֱמַֽר׃ Daniel Dan 4:9 'O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you and no mystery baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:10 ============ Dan 4:10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.(KJV) Daniel 4:10 (4:7) Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; beholde, I sawe a tree in the middes of the earth and the height thereof was great:(Geneva) Daniel 4:10 Voici les visions de mon esprit, pendant que j'étais sur ma couche. Je regardais, et voici, il y avait au milieu de la terre un arbre d'une grande hauteur.(FR) 7 ׃4 וְחֶזְוֵ֥י רֵאשִׁ֖י עַֽל־מִשְׁכְּבִ֑י חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֔ית וַאֲל֥וּ אִילָ֛ן בְּג֥וֹא אַרְעָ֖א וְרוּמֵ֥הּ שַׂגִּֽיא׃ Daniel Dan 4:10 'Now these were the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed: I was looking, and behold, there was a tree in the midst of the earth and its height was great. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:11 ============ Dan 4:11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:(KJV) Daniel 4:11 (4:8) A great tree and strong, and the height thereof reached vnto heauen, and the sight thereof to the endes of all the earth.(Geneva) Daniel 4:11 Cet arbre était devenu grand et fort, sa cime s'élevait jusqu'aux cieux, et on le voyait des extrémités de toute la terre.(FR) 8 ׃4 רְבָ֥ה אִֽילָנָ֖א וּתְקִ֑ף וְרוּמֵהּ֙ יִמְטֵ֣א לִשְׁמַיָּ֔א וַחֲזוֹתֵ֖הּ לְס֥וֹף כָּל־אַרְעָֽא׃ Daniel Dan 4:11 'The tree grew large and became strong And its height reached to the sky, And it was visible to the end of the whole earth. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:12 ============ Dan 4:12 The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.(KJV) Daniel 4:12 (4:9) The boughes thereof were faire & the fruite thereof much, and in it was meate for all: it made a shadow vnder it for the beastes of the fielde, and the foules of the heauen dwelt in the boughes thereof, and all flesh fedde of it.(Geneva) Daniel 4:12 Son feuillage était beau, et ses fruits abondants; il portait de la nourriture pour tous; les bêtes des champs s'abritaient sous son ombre, les oiseaux du ciel faisaient leur demeure parmi ses branches, et tout être vivant tirait de lui sa nourriture.(FR) 9 ׃4 עָפְיֵ֤הּ שַׁפִּיר֙ וְאִנְבֵּ֣הּ שַׂגִּ֔יא וּמָז֨וֹן לְכֹ֖לָּא־בֵ֑הּ תְּחֹת֜וֹהִי תַּטְלֵ֣ל ׀ חֵיוַ֣ת בָּרָ֗א וּבְעַנְפ֙וֹהִי֙ *ידרון **יְדוּרָן֙ צִפֲּרֵ֣י שְׁמַיָּ֔א וּמִנֵּ֖הּ יִתְּזִ֥ין כָּל־בִּשְׂרָֽא׃ Daniel Dan 4:12 'Its foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant, And in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, And the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches, And all living creatures fed themselves from it. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:13 ============ Dan 4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;(KJV) Daniel 4:13 (4:10) I sawe in the visions of mine head vpon my bed, and beholde, a watchman and an holy one came downe from heauen,(Geneva) Daniel 4:13 Dans les visions de mon esprit, que j'avais sur ma couche, je regardais, et voici, un de ceux qui veillent et qui sont saints descendit des cieux.(FR) 10 ׃4 חָזֵ֥ה הֲוֵ֛ית בְּחֶזְוֵ֥י רֵאשִׁ֖י עַֽל־מִשְׁכְּבִ֑י וַאֲלוּ֙ עִ֣יר וְקַדִּ֔ישׁ מִן־שְׁמַיָּ֖א נָחִֽת׃ Daniel Dan 4:13 'I was looking in the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed, and behold, an angelic watcher, a holy one, descended from heaven. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:14 ============ Dan 4:14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:(KJV) Daniel 4:14 (4:11) And cried aloude, and said thus, Hew downe the tree, and breake off his branches: shake off his leaues, and scatter his fruite, that the beastes may flee from vnder it, and the foules from his branches.(Geneva) Daniel 4:14 Il cria avec force et parla ainsi: Abattez l'arbre, et coupez ses branches; secouez le feuillage, et dispersez les fruits; que les bêtes fuient de dessous, et les oiseaux du milieu de ses branches!(FR) 11 ׃4 קָרֵ֨א בְחַ֜יִל וְכֵ֣ן אָמַ֗ר גֹּ֤דּוּ אִֽילָנָא֙ וְקַצִּ֣צוּ עַנְפ֔וֹהִי אַתַּ֥רוּ עָפְיֵ֖הּ וּבַדַּ֣רוּ אִנְבֵּ֑הּ תְּנֻ֤ד חֵֽיוְתָא֙ מִן־תַּחְתּ֔וֹהִי וְצִפְּרַיָּ֖א מִן־עַנְפֽוֹהִי׃ Daniel Dan 4:14 'He shouted out and spoke as follows: Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its foliage and scatter its fruit; Let the beasts flee from under it And the birds from its branches. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:15 ============ Dan 4:15 Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:(KJV) Daniel 4:15 (4:12) Neuerthelesse leaue the stumpe of his rootes in the earth, and with a band of yron and brasse binde it among the grasse of the fielde, and let it be wet with the dewe of heauen, and let his portion be with the beastes among the grasse of the fielde.(Geneva) Daniel 4:15 Mais laissez en terre le tronc où se trouvent les racines, et liez-le avec des chaînes de fer et d'airain, parmi l'herbe des champs. Qu'il soit trempé de la rosée du ciel, et qu'il ait, comme les bêtes, l'herbe de la terre pour partage.(FR) 12 ׃4 בְּרַ֨ם עִקַּ֤ר שָׁרְשׁ֙וֹהִי֙ בְּאַרְעָ֣א שְׁבֻ֔קוּ וּבֶֽאֱסוּר֙ דִּֽי־פַרְזֶ֣ל וּנְחָ֔שׁ בְּדִתְאָ֖א דִּ֣י בָרָ֑א וּבְטַ֤ל שְׁמַיָּא֙ יִצְטַבַּ֔ע וְעִם־חֵיוְתָ֥א חֲלָקֵ֖הּ בַּעֲשַׂ֥ב אַרְעָֽא׃ Daniel Dan 4:15 "Yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground, But with a band of iron and bronze around it In the new grass of the field; And let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, And let him share with the beasts in the grass of the earth. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:16 ============ Dan 4:16 Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.(KJV) Daniel 4:16 (4:13) Let his heart be changed from mans nature, and let a beasts heart be giuen vnto him, and let seuen times be passed ouer him.(Geneva) Daniel 4:16 Son coeur d'homme lui sera ôté, et un coeur de bête lui sera donné; et sept temps passeront sur lui.(FR) 13 ׃4 לִבְבֵהּ֙ מִן־*אנושא **אֲנָשָׁ֣א יְשַׁנּ֔וֹן וּלְבַ֥ב חֵיוָ֖ה יִתְיְהִ֣ב לֵ֑הּ וְשִׁבְעָ֥ה עִדָּנִ֖ין יַחְלְפ֥וּן עֲלֽוֹהִי׃ Daniel Dan 4:16 "Let his mind be changed from that of a man And let a beast's mind be given to him, And let seven periods of time pass over him. (nasb) ======= Daniel 4:17 ============ Dan 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.(KJV) Daniel 4:17 (4:14) The sentence is according to the decree of the watchmen, and according to the word of the holy ones: the demaunde was answered, to the intent that liuing men may knowe, that the most High hath power ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it to whomsoeuer he will, and appointeth ouer it the most abiect among men.(Geneva) Daniel 4:17 Cette sentence est un décret de ceux qui veillent, cette résolution est un ordre des saints, afin que les vivants sachent que le Très-Haut domine sur le règne des hommes, qu'il le donne à qui il lui plaît, et qu'il y élève le plus vil des hommes.(FR) 14 ׃4 בִּגְזֵרַ֤ת עִירִין֙ פִּתְגָמָ֔א וּמֵאמַ֥ר קַדִּישִׁ֖ין שְׁאֵֽלְתָ֑א עַד־דִּבְרַ֡ת דִּ֣י יִנְדְּע֣וּן חַ֠יַּיָּא דִּֽי־שַׁלִּ֨יט *עליא **עִלָּאָ֜ה בְּמַלְכ֣וּת *אנושא **אֲנָשָׁ֗א וּלְמַן־דִּ֤י יִצְבֵּא֙ יִתְּנִנַּ֔הּ וּשְׁפַ֥ל אֲנָשִׁ֖ים יְקִ֥ים *עליה **עֲלַֽהּ׃ Daniel Dan 4:17 "This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchers And the decision is a command of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, And bestows it on whom He wishes And sets over it the lowliest of men."(nasb) ======= Daniel 4:18 ============ Dan 4:18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.(KJV) Daniel 4:18 (4:15) This is the dreame, that I King Nebuchad-nezzar haue seene: therefore thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof: for all the wisemen of my kingdome are not able to shewe mee the interpretation: but thou art able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.(Geneva) Daniel 4:18 Voilà le songe que j'ai eu, moi, le roi Nebucadnetsar. Toi, Beltschatsar, donnes-en l'explication, puisque tous les sages de mon royaume ne peuvent me la donner; toi, tu le peux, car tu as en toi l'esprit des dieux saints.(FR) 15 ׃4 דְּנָה֙ חֶלְמָ֣א חֲזֵ֔ית אֲנָ֖ה מַלְכָּ֣א נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֑ר *ואנתה **וְאַ֨נְתְּ בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֜ר פִּשְׁרֵ֣א ׀ אֱמַ֗ר כָּל־קֳבֵל֙ דִּ֣י ׀ כָּל־חַכִּימֵ֣י מַלְכוּתִ֗י לָֽא־יָכְלִ֤ין פִּשְׁרָא֙ לְהוֹדָ֣עֻתַ֔נִי *ואנתה **וְאַ֣נְתְּ כָּהֵ֔ל דִּ֛י רֽוּחַ־אֱלָהִ֥ין קַדִּישִׁ֖ין בָּֽךְ׃ Daniel Dan 4:18 This is the dream which I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, tell me its interpretation, inasmuch as none of the wise men of my kingdom is able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for a spirit of the holy gods is in you.'(nasb) ======= Daniel 4:19 ============ Dan 4:19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.(KJV) Daniel 4:19 (4:16) Then Daniel (whose name was Belteshazzar) held his peace by the space of one houre, and his thoughts troubled him, & the King spake and said, Belteshazzar, let neither the dreame, nor the interpretation thereof trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and saide, My lord, the dreame be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.(Geneva) Daniel 4:19 Alors Daniel, nommé Beltschatsar, fut un moment stupéfait, et ses pensées le troublaient. Le roi reprit et dit: Beltschatsar, que le songe et l'explication ne te troublent pas! Et Beltschatsar répondit: Mon seigneur, que le songe soit pour tes ennemis, et son explication pour tes adversaires!(FR) 16 ׃4 אֱדַ֨יִן דָּֽנִיֵּ֜אל דִּֽי־שְׁמֵ֣הּ בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֗ר אֶשְׁתּוֹמַם֙ כְּשָׁעָ֣ה חֲדָ֔ה וְרַעְיֹנֹ֖הִי יְבַהֲלֻנֵּ֑הּ עָנֵ֨ה מַלְכָּ֜א וְאָמַ֗ר בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּר֙ חֶלְמָ֤א וּפִשְׁרֵא֙ אַֽל־יְבַהֲלָ֔ךְ עָנֵ֤ה בֵלְטְשַׁאצַּר֙ וְאָמַ֔ר *מראי **מָרִ֕י חֶלְמָ֥א *לשנאיך **לְשָֽׂנְאָ֖ךְ וּפִשְׁרֵ֥הּ *לעריך **לְעָרָֽךְ׃ Daniel Dan 4:19 "Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while as his thoughts alarmed him. The king responded and said, 'Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.'Belteshazzar replied, 'My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you and its interpretation to your adversaries! And my majesty and splendor were restored to me for the glory of my kingdom, and my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out; so I was reestablished in my sovereignty, and surpassing greatness was added to me.
