You have gone far enough, you sons of Levi!"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:8---- Num 16:8 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κορε εἰσακούσατέ μου υἱοὶ Λευι (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:8 Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:9---- Num 16:9 μὴ μικρόν ἐστιν τοῦτο ὑμῖν ὅτι διέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὑμᾶς ἐκ συναγωγῆς Ισραηλ καὶ προσηγάγετο ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν λειτουργεῖν τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου καὶ παρίστασθαι ἔναντι τῆς συναγωγῆς λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:9 is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:10---- Num 16:10 καὶ προσηγάγετό σε καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου υἱοὺς Λευι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ζητεῖτε ἱερατεύειν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:10 and that He has brought you near, Korah, and all your brothers, sons of Levi, with you? and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the doorway of their tents, along with their wives and their sons and their little ones.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:28---- Num 16:28 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς ἐν τούτῳ γνώσεσθε ὅτι κύριος ἀπέστειλέν με ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ταῦτα ὅτι οὐκ ἀπ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:28 Moses said, "By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these deeds; for this is not my doing.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:29---- Num 16:29 εἰ κατὰ θάνατον πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἀποθανοῦνται οὗτοι εἰ καὶ κατ᾽ ἐπίσκεψιν πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἐπισκοπὴ ἔσται αὐτῶν οὐχὶ κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:29 If these men die the death of all men or if they suffer the fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:30---- Num 16:30 ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἐν φάσματι δείξει κύριος καὶ ἀνοίξασα ἡ γῆ τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς καταπίεται αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς σκηνὰς αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτοῖς καὶ καταβήσονται ζῶντες εἰς ᾅδου καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι παρώξυναν οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὗτοι τὸν κύριον (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:30 But if the Lord brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that is theirs, and they descend alive into Sheol, then you will understand that these men have spurned the Lord."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:31---- Num 16:31 ὡς δὲ ἐπαύσατο λαλῶν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐρράγη ἡ γῆ ὑποκάτω αὐτῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:31 As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:32---- Num 16:32 καὶ ἠνοίχθη ἡ γῆ καὶ κατέπιεν αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ὄντας μετὰ Κορε καὶ τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:33---- Num 16:33 καὶ κατέβησαν αὐτοὶ καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτῶν ζῶντα εἰς ᾅδου καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτοὺς ἡ γῆ καὶ ἀπώλοντο ἐκ μέσου τῆς συναγωγῆς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:33 So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and you scatter the burning coals abroad.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:38---- Num 16:38 τὰ πυρεῖα τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν τούτων ἐν ταῖς ψυχαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ποίησον αὐτὰ λεπίδας ἐλατάς περίθεμα τῷ θυσιαστηρίῳ ὅτι προσηνέχθησαν ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἡγιάσθησαν καὶ ἐγένοντο εἰς σημεῖον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:38 As for the censers of these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, let them be made into hammered sheets for a plating of the altar, since they did present them before the Lord and they are holy; and they shall be for a sign to the sons of Israel."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:39---- Num 16:39 καὶ ἔλαβεν Ελεαζαρ υἱὸς Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως τὰ πυρεῖα τὰ χαλκᾶ ὅσα προσήνεγκαν οἱ κατακεκαυμένοι καὶ προσέθηκαν αὐτὰ περίθεμα τῷ θυσιαστηρίῳ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:39 So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers which the men who were burned had offered, and they hammered them out as a plating for the altar,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 16:40---- Num 16:40 μνημόσυνον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ὅπως ἂν μὴ προσέλθῃ μηθεὶς ἀλλογενής ὃς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματος Ααρων ἐπιθεῖναι θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὥσπερ Κορε καὶ ἡ ἐπισύστασις αὐτοῦ καθὰ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 16:40 as a reminder to the sons of Israel that no layman who is not of the descendants of Aaron should come near to burn incense before the Lord;
