================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:1 ---- written 1450-1410 B.C.---- Num 27:1 καὶ προσελθοῦσαι αἱ θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ υἱοῦ Οφερ υἱοῦ Γαλααδ υἱοῦ Μαχιρ τοῦ δήμου Μανασση τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν Μαλα καὶ Νουα καὶ Εγλα καὶ Μελχα καὶ Θερσα (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:1 Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, came near; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah and Hoglah and Milcah and Tirzah.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:2---- Num 27:2 καὶ στᾶσαι ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου λέγουσιν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:2 They stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the leaders and all the congregation, at the doorway of the tent of meeting, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:3---- Num 27:3 ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἦν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῆς ἐπισυστάσης ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κορε ὅτι διὰ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:3 "Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:4---- Num 27:4 μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ δήμου αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ υἱός δότε ἡμῖν κατάσχεσιν ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς ἡμῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:4 Why should the name of our father be withdrawn from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father's brothers."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:5---- Num 27:5 καὶ προσήγαγεν Μωυσῆς τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἔναντι κυρίου (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:5 So Moses brought their case before the Lord.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:6---- Num 27:6 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:6 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:7---- Num 27:7 ὀρθῶς θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ λελαλήκασιν δόμα δώσεις αὐταῖς κατάσχεσιν κληρονομίας ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν κλῆρον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν αὐταῖς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:7 "The daughters of Zelophehad are right in their statements. You shall surely give them a hereditary possession among their father's brothers, and you shall transfer the inheritance of their father to them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:8---- Num 27:8 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λαλήσεις λέγων ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ υἱὸς μὴ ᾖ αὐτῷ περιθήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:8 Further, you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'If a man dies and has no son, then you shall transfer his inheritance to his daughter.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:9---- Num 27:9 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ θυγάτηρ αὐτῷ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:10---- Num 27:10 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν αὐτῷ ἀδελφοί δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:10 If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:11---- Num 27:11 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν ἀδελφοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ οἰκείῳ τῷ ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς αὐτοῦ κληρονομήσει τὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ δικαίωμα κρίσεως καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:11 If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his nearest relative in his own family, and he shall possess it; and it shall be a statutory ordinance to the sons of Israel, just as the Lord commanded Moses.'"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:12---- Num 27:12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦτο ὄρος Ναβαυ καὶ ἰδὲ τὴν γῆν Χανααν ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν κατασχέσει (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:12 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go up to this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:13---- Num 27:13 καὶ ὄψει αὐτὴν καὶ προστεθήσῃ πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου καὶ σύ καθὰ προσετέθη Ααρων ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν Ωρ τῷ ὄρει (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:13 When you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:14---- Num 27:14 διότι παρέβητε τὸ ῥῆμά μου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν ἐν τῷ ἀντιπίπτειν τὴν συναγωγὴν ἁγιάσαι με οὐχ ἡγιάσατέ με ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι ἔναντι αὐτῶν τοῦτό ἐστιν ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας Καδης ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:14 for in the wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to treat Me as holy before their eyes at the water." (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:15---- Num 27:15 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:15 Then Moses spoke to the Lord, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:16---- Num 27:16 ἐπισκεψάσθω κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:16 "May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:17---- Num 27:17 ὅστις ἐξελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις εἰσελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις ἐξάξει αὐτοὺς καὶ ὅστις εἰσάξει αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ συναγωγὴ κυρίου ὡσεὶ πρόβατα οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν ποιμήν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:17 who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord will not be like sheep which have no shepherd."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:18---- Num 27:18 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων λαβὲ πρὸς σεαυτὸν τὸν Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν Ναυη ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα ἐν ἑαυτῷ καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰς χεῖράς σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:18 So the Lord said to Moses, "Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:19---- Num 27:19 καὶ στήσεις αὐτὸν ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἐντελῇ αὐτῷ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς καὶ ἐντελῇ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αὐτῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:19 and have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him in their sight.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:20---- Num 27:20 καὶ δώσεις τῆς δόξης σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ὅπως ἂν εἰσακούσωσιν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:20 You shall put some of your authority on him, in order that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may obey him.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 27:21---- Num 27:21 καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως στήσεται καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν αὐτὸν τὴν κρίσιν τῶν δήλων ἔναντι κυρίου ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσονται καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ εἰσελεύσονται αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ὁμοθυμαδὸν καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 27:21 Moreover, he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord.
