Pre-Exilic---- Jer 11:1 ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος παρὰ κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν λέγων (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:2---- Jer 11:2 ἀκούσατε τοὺς λόγους τῆς διαθήκης ταύτης καὶ λαλήσεις πρὸς ἄνδρας Ιουδα καὶ πρὸς τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:2 "Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:3---- Jer 11:3 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς οὐκ ἀκούσεται τῶν λόγων τῆς διαθήκης ταύτης (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:3 and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel," Cursed is the man who does not heed the words of this covenant(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:4---- Jer 11:4 ἧς ἐνετειλάμην τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ᾗ ἀνήγαγον αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐκ καμίνου τῆς σιδηρᾶς λέγων ἀκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς μου καὶ ποιήσατε πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν ἐντείλωμαι ὑμῖν καὶ ἔσεσθέ μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι ὑμῖν εἰς θεόν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:4 which I commanded your forefathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, 'Listen to My voice, and do according to all which I command you; so you shall be My people, and I will be your God, '(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:5---- Jer 11:5 ὅπως στήσω τὸν ὅρκον μου ὃν ὤμοσα τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτοῖς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι καθὼς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη καὶ ἀπεκρίθην καὶ εἶπα γένοιτο κύριε (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:5 in order to confirm the oath which I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day."'" therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.'"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:9---- Jer 11:9 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με εὑρέθη σύνδεσμος ἐν ἀνδράσιν Ιουδα καὶ ἐν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Ιερουσαλημ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:9 Then the Lord said to me, "A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:10---- Jer 11:10 ἐπεστράφησαν ἐπὶ τὰς ἀδικίας τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν τῶν πρότερον οἳ οὐκ ἤθελον εἰσακοῦσαι τῶν λόγων μου καὶ ἰδοὺ αὐτοὶ βαδίζουσιν ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων τοῦ δουλεύειν αὐτοῖς καὶ διεσκέδασαν οἶκος Ισραηλ καὶ οἶκος Ιουδα τὴν διαθήκην μου ἣν διεθέμην πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; though they will cry to Me, yet I will not listen to them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:12---- Jer 11:12 καὶ πορεύσονται πόλεις Ιουδα καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ιερουσαλημ καὶ κεκράξονται πρὸς τοὺς θεούς οἷς αὐτοὶ θυμιῶσιν αὐτοῖς μὴ σώσουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐν καιρῷ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they surely will not save them in the time of their disaster.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:13---- Jer 11:13 ὅτι κατ᾽ ἀριθμὸν τῶν πόλεών σου ἦσαν θεοί σου Ιουδα καὶ κατ᾽ ἀριθμὸν ἐξόδων τῆς Ιερουσαλημ ἐτάξατε βωμοὺς θυμιᾶν τῇ Βααλ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:13 For your gods are as many as your cities, O Judah; Can the sacrificial flesh take away from you your disaster, So that you can rejoice?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:16---- Jer 11:16 ἐλαίαν ὡραίαν εὔσκιον τῷ εἴδει ἐκάλεσεν κύριος τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς φωνὴν περιτομῆς αὐτῆς ἀνήφθη πῦρ ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν μεγάλη ἡ θλῖψις ἐπὶ σέ ἠχρεώθησαν οἱ κλάδοι αὐτῆς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:16 The Lord called your name," A green olive tree, beautiful in fruit and form"; With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it, And its branches are worthless.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:17---- Jer 11:17 καὶ κύριος ὁ καταφυτεύσας σε ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ σὲ κακὰ ἀντὶ τῆς κακίας οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ οἴκου Ιουδα ὅτι ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς τοῦ παροργίσαι με ἐν τῷ θυμιᾶν αὐτοὺς τῇ Βααλ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:17 The Lord of hosts, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me by offering up sacrifices to Baal.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:18---- Jer 11:18 κύριε γνώρισόν μοι καὶ γνώσομαι τότε εἶδον τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:18 Moreover, the Lord made it known to me and I knew it; Then You showed me their deeds.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:19---- Jer 11:19 ἐγὼ δὲ ὡς ἀρνίον ἄκακον ἀγόμενον τοῦ θύεσθαι οὐκ ἔγνων ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐλογίσαντο λογισμὸν πονηρὸν λέγοντες δεῦτε καὶ ἐμβάλωμεν ξύλον εἰς τὸν ἄρτον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκτρίψωμεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ γῆς ζώντων καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ μνησθῇ ἔτι (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:19 But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; And I did not know that they had devised plots against me, saying, "Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, And let us cut him off from the land of the living, That his name be remembered no more."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:20---- Jer 11:20 κύριε κρίνων δίκαια δοκιμάζων νεφροὺς καὶ καρδίας ἴδοιμι τὴν παρὰ σοῦ ἐκδίκησιν ἐξ αὐτῶν ὅτι πρὸς σὲ ἀπεκάλυψα τὸ δικαίωμά μου (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:20 But, O Lord of hosts, who judges righteously, Who tries the feelings and the heart, Let me see Your vengeance on them, For to You have I committed my cause.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:21---- Jer 11:21 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ τοὺς ἄνδρας Αναθωθ τοὺς ζητοῦντας τὴν ψυχήν μου τοὺς λέγοντας οὐ μὴ προφητεύσῃς ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου εἰ δὲ μή ἀποθανῇ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ἡμῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:21 Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, "Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, so that you will not die at our hand";(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 11:22---- Jer 11:22 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπισκέψομαι ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς οἱ νεανίσκοι αὐτῶν ἐν μαχαίρᾳ ἀποθανοῦνται καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῶν τελευτήσουσιν ἐν λιμῷ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 11:22 therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts," Behold, I am about to punish them!
