Exilic---- Eze 15:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:2---- Eze 15:2 καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τί ἂν γένοιτο τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐκ πάντων τῶν ξύλων τῶν κλημάτων τῶν ὄντων ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:2 "Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than any wood of a branch which is among the trees of the forest?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:3---- Eze 15:3 εἰ λήμψονται ἐξ αὐτῆς ξύλον τοῦ ποιῆσαι εἰς ἐργασίαν εἰ λήμψονται ἐξ αὐτῆς πάσσαλον τοῦ κρεμάσαι ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν πᾶν σκεῦος (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:3 Can wood be taken from it to make anything, or can men take a peg from it on which to hang any vessel?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:4---- Eze 15:4 πάρεξ πυρὶ δέδοται εἰς ἀνάλωσιν τὴν κατ᾽ ἐνιαυτὸν κάθαρσιν ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς ἀναλίσκει τὸ πῦρ καὶ ἐκλείπει εἰς τέλος μὴ χρήσιμον ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:4 If it has been put into the fire for fuel, and the fire has consumed both of its ends and its middle part has been charred, is it then useful for anything?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:5---- Eze 15:5 οὐδὲ ἔτι αὐτοῦ ὄντος ὁλοκλήρου οὐκ ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν μὴ ὅτι ἐὰν καὶ πῦρ αὐτὸ ἀναλώσῃ εἰς τέλος εἰ ἔσται ἔτι εἰς ἐργασίαν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:5 Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything!(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:6---- Eze 15:6 διὰ τοῦτο εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος ὃν τρόπον τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ ὃ δέδωκα αὐτὸ τῷ πυρὶ εἰς ἀνάλωσιν οὕτως δέδωκα τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:6 Therefore, thus says the Lord God, 'As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem;(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 15:7---- Eze 15:7 καὶ δώσω τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς ἐξελεύσονται καὶ πῦρ αὐτοὺς καταφάγεται καὶ ἐπιγνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ἐν τῷ στηρίσαι με τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 15:7 and I set My face against them. Though they have come out of the fire, yet the fire will consume them.
