Nehemías 5:1 Entonces fue grande el clamor del pueblo y de sus esposas contra los judíos sus hermanos.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:1 Now there was a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:2---- Nehemías 5:2 Y había quien decía: Nosotros, nuestros hijos y nuestras hijas, somos muchos; por tanto hemos tomado grano para comer y vivir.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:2 For there were those who said, "We, our sons and our daughters are many; therefore let us get grain that we may eat and live."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:3---- Nehemías 5:3 Y había quienes decían: Hemos empeñado nuestras tierras, y nuestras viñas, y nuestras casas, para comprar grano, por causa del hambre.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:3 There were others who said, "We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our houses that we might get grain because of the famine."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:4---- Nehemías 5:4 Y había quienes decían: Hemos pedido dinero prestado para el tributo del rey, [aun] sobre nuestras tierras y nuestras viñas.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:4 Also there were those who said, "We have borrowed money for the king's tax on our fields and our vineyards.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:5---- Nehemías 5:5 Ahora bien, nuestra carne es como la carne de nuestros hermanos, nuestros hijos como sus hijos; y he aquí que nosotros estamos sometiendo a nuestros hijos y a nuestras hijas a servidumbre, y algunas de nuestras hijas ya están sujetas a servidumbre; y no tenemos poder para rescatarlas, porque nuestras tierras y nuestras viñas son de otros.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:5 Now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:6---- Nehemías 5:6 Y me enojé en gran manera cuando oí su clamor y estas palabras.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:6 Then I was very angry when I had heard their outcry and these words.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:7---- Nehemías 5:7 Entonces lo medité, y reprendí a los nobles y a los magistrados, y les dije: ¿Tomáis cada uno usura de vuestros hermanos? Y convoqué contra ellos una gran asamblea.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:7 I consulted with myself and contended with the nobles and the rulers and said to them, "You are exacting usury, each from his brother!" Therefore, I held a great assembly against them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:8---- Nehemías 5:8 Y les dije: Nosotros conforme a nuestras posibilidades rescatamos a nuestros hermanos judíos que habían sido vendidos a las naciones; ¿y vosotros venderéis aun a vuestros hermanos, o serán vendidos a nosotros? Y callaron, pues no tuvieron qué responder.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:8 I said to them, "We according to our ability have redeemed our Jewish brothers who were sold to the nations; now would you even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us?" Then they were silent and could not find a word to say.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:9---- Nehemías 5:9 Y dije: No está bien lo que hacéis, ¿no andaréis en temor de nuestro Dios, para no ser el oprobio de las naciones que son nuestras enemigas?(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:9 Again I said, "The thing which you are doing is not good; should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:10---- Nehemías 5:10 También yo, y mis hermanos, y mis criados, les hemos prestado dinero y grano; absolvámosles ahora de este gravamen.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:10 And likewise I, my brothers and my servants are lending them money and grain. Please, let us leave off this usury.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:11---- Nehemías 5:11 Os ruego que les devolváis hoy sus tierras, sus viñas, sus olivares, y sus casas, y la centésima parte del dinero y del grano, del vino y del aceite que demandáis de ellos.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:11 Please, give back to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive groves and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money and of the grain, the new wine and the oil that you are exacting from them."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:12---- Nehemías 5:12 Y dijeron: Lo devolveremos, y nada les demandaremos; haremos así como tú dices. Entonces convoqué a los sacerdotes y les hice jurar que harían conforme a esto.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:12 Then they said, "We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say." So I called the priests and took an oath from them that they would do according to this promise.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:13---- Nehemías 5:13 Además sacudí mi ropa, y dije: Así sacuda Dios de su casa y de su trabajo a todo hombre que no cumpliere esto, y así sea sacudido y vaciado. Y respondió toda la congregación: ¡Amén! Y alabaron a Jehová. Y el pueblo hizo conforme a esto.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:13 I also shook out the front of my garment and said, "Thus may God shake out every man from his house and from his possessions who does not fulfill this promise; even thus may he be shaken out and emptied." And all the assembly said, "Amen!" And they praised the Lord. Then the people did according to this promise.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:14---- Nehemías 5:14 También desde el día que me mandó el rey que fuese gobernador de ellos en la tierra de Judá, desde el año veinte del rey Artajerjes hasta el año treinta y dos, doce años, ni yo ni mis hermanos comimos el pan del gobernador.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:14 Moreover, from the day that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year to the thirty-second year of King Artaxerxes, for twelve years, neither I nor my kinsmen have eaten the governor's food allowance.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Nehemiah 5:15---- Nehemías 5:15 Mas los primeros gobernadores que fueron antes de mí, cargaron al pueblo, y tomaban de ellos pan y vino, además de cuarenta siclos de plata; a más de esto, sus criados se enseñoreaban sobre el pueblo; pero yo no hice así, a causa del temor de Dios.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neh 5:15 But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people and took from them bread and wine besides forty shekels of silver; even their servants domineered the people.
