Exodus 17:1 Daarna toog de ganse vergadering van de kinderen Israels, naar hun dagreizen, uit de woestijn Sin, op het bevel des HEEREN, en zij legerden zich te Rafidim. Daar nu was geen water voor het volk om te drinken.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:1 Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel journeyed by stages from the wilderness of Sin, according to the command of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:2---- Exodus 17:2 Toen twistte het volk met Mozes, en zeide: Geeft gijlieden ons water, dat wij drinken! Mozes dan zeide tot hen: Wat twist gij met mij? Waarom verzoekt gij den HEERE?(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:2 Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, "Give us water that we may drink." And Moses said to them, "Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:3---- Exodus 17:3 Toen nu het volk aldaar dorstte naar water, zo murmureerde het volk tegen Mozes, en het zeide: Waartoe hebt gij ons nu uit Egypte doen optrekken, opdat gij mij, en mijn kinderen, en mijn vee, van dorst deed sterven?(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:3 But the people thirsted there for water; and they grumbled against Moses and said, "Why, now, have you brought us up from Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:4---- Exodus 17:4 Zo riep Mozes tot den HEERE, zeggende: Wat zal ik dit volk doen? Er feilt niet veel aan, of zij zullen mij stenigen.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:4 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, "What shall I do to this people? A little more and they will stone me."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:5---- Exodus 17:5 Toen zeide de HEERE tot Mozes: Ga heen voor het aangezicht des volks, en neem met u uit de oudsten van Israel; en neem uw staf in uw hand, waarmede gij de rivier sloegt, en ga heen.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:5 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:6---- Exodus 17:6 Zie, Ik zal aldaar voor uw aangezicht op den rotssteen in Horeb staan; en gij zult op den rotssteen slaan, zo zal er water uitgaan, dat het volk drinke. Mozes nu deed alzo voor de ogen der oudsten van Israel.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:7---- Exodus 17:7 En hij noemde den naam dier plaats Massa en Meriba, om de twist der kinderen Israels, en omdat zij den HEERE verzocht hadden, zeggende: Is de HEERE in het midden van ons, of niet?(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:7 He named the place Massah and Meribah because of the quarrel of the sons of Israel, and because they tested the Lord, saying, "Is the Lord among us, or not?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:8---- Exodus 17:8 Toen kwam Amalek en streed tegen Israel in Rafidim.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:8 Then Amalek came and fought against Israel at Rephidim.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:9---- Exodus 17:9 Mozes dan zeide tot Jozua: Kies ons mannen, en trek uit, strijd tegen Amalek; morgen zal ik op de hoogte des heuvels staan, en de staf Gods zal in mijn hand zijn.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:9 So Moses said to Joshua, "Choose men for us and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:10---- Exodus 17:10 Jozua nu deed, als Mozes hem gezegd had, strijdende tegen Amalek; doch Mozes, Aaron en Hur klommen op de hoogte des heuvels.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:10 Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:11---- Exodus 17:11 En het geschiedde, terwijl Mozes zijn hand ophief, zo was Israel de sterkste; maar terwijl hij zijn hand nederliet, zo was Amalek de sterkste.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:11 So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Exodus 17:12---- Exodus 17:12 Doch de handen van Mozes werden zwaar; daarom namen zij een steen, en legden dien onder hem, dat hij daarop zat; en Aaron en Hur onderstutten zijn handen, de een op deze, en ander op de andere zijde; alzo waren zijn handen gewis, totdat de zon onderging.(Dutch) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exo 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other.
