Exilic---- Eze 19:1 καὶ σὺ λαβὲ θρῆνον ἐπὶ τὸν ἄρχοντα τοῦ Ισραηλ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:1 "As for you, take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:2---- Eze 19:2 καὶ ἐρεῖς τί ἡ μήτηρ σου σκύμνος ἐν μέσῳ λεόντων ἐγενήθη ἐν μέσῳ λεόντων ἐπλήθυνεν σκύμνους αὐτῆς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:2 and say, 'What was your mother? A lioness among lions! She lay down among young lions, She reared her cubs.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:3---- Eze 19:3 καὶ ἀπεπήδησεν εἷς τῶν σκύμνων αὐτῆς λέων ἐγένετο καὶ ἔμαθεν τοῦ ἁρπάζειν ἁρπάγματα ἀνθρώπους ἔφαγεν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:3 'When she brought up one of her cubs, He became a lion, And he learned to tear his prey; He devoured men.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:4---- Eze 19:4 καὶ ἤκουσαν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἔθνη ἐν τῇ διαφθορᾷ αὐτῶν συνελήμφθη καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν ἐν κημῷ εἰς γῆν Αἰγύπτου (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:4 'Then nations heard about him; He was captured in their pit, And they brought him with hooks To the land of Egypt.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:5---- Eze 19:5 καὶ εἶδεν ὅτι ἀπῶσται ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ ἀπώλετο ἡ ὑπόστασις αὐτῆς καὶ ἔλαβεν ἄλλον ἐκ τῶν σκύμνων αὐτῆς λέοντα ἔταξεν αὐτόν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:5 'When she saw, as she waited, That her hope was lost, She took another of her cubs And made him a young lion.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:6---- Eze 19:6 καὶ ἀνεστρέφετο ἐν μέσῳ λεόντων λέων ἐγένετο καὶ ἔμαθεν ἁρπάζειν ἁρπάγματα ἀνθρώπους ἔφαγεν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:6 'And he walked about among the lions; He became a young lion, He learned to tear his prey; He devoured men.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:7---- Eze 19:7 καὶ ἐνέμετο τῷ θράσει αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς πόλεις αὐτῶν ἐξηρήμωσεν καὶ ἠφάνισεν γῆν καὶ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτῆς ἀπὸ φωνῆς ὠρύματος αὐτοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:7 'He destroyed their fortified towers And laid waste their cities; And the land and its fullness were appalled Because of the sound of his roaring.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:8---- Eze 19:8 καὶ ἔδωκαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔθνη ἐκ χωρῶν κυκλόθεν καὶ ἐξεπέτασαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν δίκτυα αὐτῶν ἐν διαφθορᾷ αὐτῶν συνελήμφθη (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:8 'Then nations set against him On every side from their provinces, And they spread their net over him; He was captured in their pit.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:9---- Eze 19:9 καὶ ἔθεντο αὐτὸν ἐν κημῷ καὶ ἐν γαλεάγρᾳ ἦλθεν πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς φυλακήν ὅπως μὴ ἀκουσθῇ ἡ φωνὴ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τοῦ Ισραηλ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:9 'They put him in a cage with hooks And brought him to the king of Babylon; They brought him in hunting nets So that his voice would be heard no more On the mountains of Israel.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:10---- Eze 19:10 ἡ μήτηρ σου ὡς ἄμπελος ὡς ἄνθος ἐν ῥόᾳ ἐν ὕδατι πεφυτευμένη ὁ καρπὸς αὐτῆς καὶ ὁ βλαστὸς αὐτῆς ἐγένετο ἐξ ὕδατος πολλοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:10 'Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard, Planted by the waters; It was fruitful and full of branches Because of abundant waters.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:11---- Eze 19:11 καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτῇ ῥάβδος ἰσχύος ἐπὶ φυλὴν ἡγουμένων καὶ ὑψώθη τῷ μεγέθει αὐτῆς ἐν μέσῳ στελεχῶν καὶ εἶδεν τὸ μέγεθος αὐτῆς ἐν πλήθει κλημάτων αὐτῆς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:11 'And it had strong branches fit for scepters of rulers, And its height was raised above the clouds So that it was seen in its height with the mass of its branches.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:12---- Eze 19:12 καὶ κατεκλάσθη ἐν θυμῷ ἐπὶ γῆν ἐρρίφη καὶ ἄνεμος ὁ καύσων ἐξήρανεν τὰ ἐκλεκτὰ αὐτῆς ἐξεδικήθη καὶ ἐξηράνθη ἡ ῥάβδος ἰσχύος αὐτῆς πῦρ ἀνήλωσεν αὐτήν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:12 'But it was plucked up in fury; It was cast down to the ground; And the east wind dried up its fruit. Its strong branch was torn off So that it withered; The fire consumed it.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:13---- Eze 19:13 καὶ νῦν πεφύτευκαν αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν γῇ ἀνύδρῳ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:13 'And now it is planted in the wilderness, In a dry and thirsty land.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Ezekiel 19:14---- Eze 19:14 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν πῦρ ἐκ ῥάβδου ἐκλεκτῶν αὐτῆς καὶ κατέφαγεν αὐτήν καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐν αὐτῇ ῥάβδος ἰσχύος φυλὴ εἰς παραβολὴν θρήνου ἐστὶν καὶ ἔσται εἰς θρῆνον (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eze 19:14 'And fire has gone out from its branch; It has consumed its shoots and fruit, So that there is not in it a strong branch, A scepter to rule.'"
