(Hebrew) עַל־כֵּן בְּהִוָּתֵר לָנוּ הַהַבְטָחָה לָבֹא אֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹ נִדְאַג לְנַפְשֵׁנוּ פֶּן־יֵחָשֵׁב אִישׁ מִכֶּם כִּמְאַחֵר לָבֹא שָׁמָּה׃ א Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:1 Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:2---- (Hebrew) כִּי בְשׂרָה טוֹבָה בָּאָה גַּם־אֵלֵינוּ גַּם־אֲלֵיהֶם אַךְ הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר שָׁמְעוּ הֵם לֹא־הוֹעִיל לָהֶם כִּי לֹא הִתְעָרַב בֶּאֱמוּנַת לִבָּם׃ ב Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:3---- (Hebrew) כִּי אֲנַחְנוּ הַמַּאֲמִינִים בָּאִים אֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר אָמָר אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי בְאַפִּי אִם־יְבֹאוּן אֶל־מְנוּחָתִי וּמְנוּחָה זוּ הִיא מִן־הַמְּלָאכָה אֲשֶׁר נֶעֶשְׂתָה בְּהִוָּסֵד אֶרֶץ וְשָׁמָיִם׃ ג Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:3 For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY עַל־יוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי אֹמֵר בְּמָקוֹם אַחֵר וַיִּשְׁבֹּת אֱלֹהִים בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי מִכָּל־מְלַאכְתּוֹ׃ ד Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:4 For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:5---- (Hebrew) וּבַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה יֹאמַר עוֹד אִם־יְבֹאוּן אֶל־מְנוּחָתִי׃ ה Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:5 and again in this passage, "THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:6---- (Hebrew) הַיֹּצֵא לָנוּ מִכָּל־זֶה כִּי יֵשׁ בָּאִים אֶל־הַמְּנוּחָה וְהַשֹּׁמְעִים אֶת־בְּשׂרָה טוֹבָה מֵרֹאשׁ לֹא־בָאוּ מִפְּנֵי חֹסֶר אֱמוּנָתָם׃ ו Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:7---- (Hebrew) וּלְקֵץ יָמִים רַבִּים הוֹסִיף וְיָעַד יוֹם אַחֵר בְּאָמְרוֹ עַל־פִּי דָוִד הַיּוֹם כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר הַיּוֹם אִם־בְּקֹלוֹ תִשְׁמָעוּ אַל־תַּקְשׁוּ לְבַבְכֶם׃ ז Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:7 He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:8---- (Hebrew) כִּי אִלּוּ הֵבִיאָם יְהוֹשֻׁעַ אֶל־הַמְּנוּחָה הַנְּכוֹנָה לֹא הָיָה מְדַבֵּר אַחֲרֵי־כֵן עַל־יוֹם אַחֵר׃ ח Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:9---- (Hebrew) וְלָכֵן עוֹד נִשְׁאַר יוֹם שַׁבָּתוֹן לְעַם אֱלֹהִים׃ ט Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:9 So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people גַּם־שָׁבַת אֱלֹהִים מִמְּלַאכְתּוֹ שֶׁלּוֹ׃ י Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also אֶל־הַמְּנוּחָה הַהִיא פֶּן־יִכָּשֶׁל אִישׁ בְּלֶכְתּוֹ בְּעִקְּבוֹת הַמַמְרִים׃ יא Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:11 Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:12---- (Hebrew) כִּי־חַי דְּבַר אֱלֹהִים חָזָק וְחַד מִכָּל־חֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת חֹצֵב וּבֹקֵעַ נֶפֶשׁ וָרוּחַ גַּם־מֹחַ וַעֲצָמוֹת וּבֹחֵן מַחְשְׁבוֹת לֵב וְיִצְרוֹ׃ יב Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:13---- (Hebrew) וְאֵין יְצוּר נֶעְלָם מִלְּפָנָיו אַךְ הַכֹּל חָשׂוּף וְגָלוּי לְעֵינֵי הַהוּא אֲשֶׁר עָלֵינוּ לָתֵת דִּין לְפָנָיו׃ יג Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:14---- (Hebrew) וְעַתָּה בִּהְיוֹת־לָנוּ כֹהֵן גָּדוֹל נַעֲלֶה עַד־מְאֹד אֲשֶׁר צָלַח אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם יֵשׁוּעַ בֶּן־אֱלֹהִים נִשְׁמְרָה אֶת־הַשְּׁבוּעָה אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְנוּ לוֹ׃ יד Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:15---- (Hebrew) כִּי אֵין לָנוּ כֹהֵן גָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יוּכַל לָחוּשׁ לְשִׁבְרֵנוּ אַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר גַּם־הוּא נִבְחַן בְּמַסּוֹת כָּמֹנוּ וְחֵטְא לֹא נִמְצָא־בוֹ׃ טו Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Hebrews 4:16---- (Hebrew) עַל־כֵּן נִגְּשָׁה בְּפֶה מָלֵא אֶל־כִּסֵּא הָרַחֲמִים לָקַחַת חֶסֶד וְלִמְצֹא חֲנִינָה לַעֲזָר־לָנוּ לְעִתּוֹת בַּצָּרָה׃ טז Hebrews -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heb 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of
