Daniel 1:1 Jehojakima, Jūda ķēniņa, trešā valdīšanas gadā Nebukadnecars, Bābeles ķēniņš, nāca uz Jeruzālemi un apmetās pret to.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:2---- Daniel 1:2 Un Tas Kungs nodeva Jehojakimu, Jūda ķēniņu, viņa rokā un vienu daļu Dieva nama trauku, un viņš tos noveda uz Sineāra zemi sava dieva namā, un tos traukus viņš nolika sava dieva mantu namā.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:2 The Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the vessels of the house of God; and he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and he brought the vessels into the treasury of his god.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:3---- Daniel 1:3 Un ķēniņš sacīja uz Aspenasu, savu kambarjunkuru uzraugu, lai no Israēla bērniem, no ķēniņu un lielkungu dzimuma izlasa(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:3 Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, the chief of his officials, to bring in some of the sons of Israel, including some of the royal family and of the nobles,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:4---- Daniel 1:4 Jaunekļus, kas bez vainas, skaistus vaigā un samanīgus visādā gudrībā un labi mācītus un kam gudrs prāts, un kas būtu derīgi ķēniņa pilī stāvēt, ka tie taptu mācīti Kaldeju rakstā un valodā.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:4 youths in whom was no defect, who were good-looking, showing intelligence in every branch of wisdom, endowed with understanding and discerning knowledge, and who had ability for serving in the king's court; and to Daniel he assigned the name Belteshazzar, to Hananiah Shadrach, to Mishael Meshach and to Azariah Abed-nego.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:8---- Daniel 1:8 Bet Daniēls apņēmās savā sirdī, nesagānīties ar ķēniņa ēdienu nedz ar to vīnu, ko viņš dzēra, tādēļ tas lūdza kambarjunkuru uzraugam, lai viņam atļautu nesagānīties.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:8 But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king's choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:9---- Daniel 1:9 Un Dievs Daniēlim deva žēlastību un apžēlošanu kambarjunkuru uzrauga priekšā.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:9 Now God granted Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the commander of the officials,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:10---- Daniel 1:10 Un kambarjunkuru uzraugs sacīja uz Daniēli: es bīstos savu kungu, ķēniņu, kas jūsu ēdienu un dzērienu tā nospriedis, ka viņš neierauga, ka jūsu vaigi vājāki nekā to citu jaunekļu, kas jūsu vecumā. Tad jūs pār manu galvu vestu gatavu nāvi no ķēniņa.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:10 and the commander of the officials said to Daniel, "I am afraid of my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink; for why should he see your faces looking more haggard than the youths who are your own age? Then you would make me forfeit my head to the king."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:11---- Daniel 1:11 Bet Daniēls sacīja uz barības sargu, ko kambarjunkuru uzraugs bija iecēlis pār Daniēli, Hananiju, Mišaēli un Azariju:(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:11 But Daniel said to the overseer whom the commander of the officials had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:12---- Daniel 1:12 Raugi jel saviem kalpiem dot kādas desmit dienas zemes augļus ēst un ūdeni dzert.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:12 "Please test your servants for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables to eat and water to drink.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:13---- Daniel 1:13 Un tad lai apskata, kāds mūsu ģīmis būs tavā priekšā, un kāds to jaunekļu ģīmis, kas ķēniņa ēdienu ēd, un dari tad ar saviem kalpiem, kā tu pats redzēsi.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:13 Then let our appearance be observed in your presence and the appearance of the youths who are eating the king's choice food; and deal with your servants according to what you see."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:14---- Daniel 1:14 Un viņš tiem paklausīja šinī lietā un raudzīja desmit dienas ar tiem tā darīt.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:14 So he listened to them in this matter and tested them for ten days.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:15---- Daniel 1:15 Un pēc desmit dienām tas atrada viņu izskatu skaistāku un viņu miesas pilnīgākas, nekā visu citu jaunekļu, kas ēda no ķēniņa ēdiena.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:15 At the end of ten days their appearance seemed better and they were fatter than all the youths who had been eating the king's choice food.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:16---- Daniel 1:16 Tad tas barības sargs atņēma to viņiem nospriesto ēdienu un vīnu un tiem deva ēst zemes augļus.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:16 So the overseer continued to withhold their choice food and the wine they were to drink, and kept giving them vegetables.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:17---- Daniel 1:17 Un šiem četriem jaunekļiem Dievs deva zināšanu un saprašanu visādā rakstā un gudrībā, bet Daniēlim viņš deva saprast visādas parādīšanas un sapņus.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:17 As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:18---- Daniel 1:18 Un kad tas laiks bija pagājis, ko ķēniņš bija pavēlējis, viņus priekšā vest, tad kambarjunkuru uzraugs tos veda pie Nebukadnecara.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:18 Then at the end of the days which the king had specified for presenting them, the commander of the officials presented them before Nebuchadnezzar.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Daniel 1:19---- Daniel 1:19 Un ķēniņš ar tiem runāja, bet starp visiem neatradās neviena tāda, kā Daniēls, Hananija, Mišaēls un Azarija, un tie kalpoja ķēniņa priekšā.(Latvian) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 1:19 The king talked with them, and out of them all not one was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah;
