Jonas 1:1 E veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jonas, filho de Amitai, dizendo:(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:1 The word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:2---- Jonas 1:2 Levanta-te, vai à grande cidade de Nínive, e prega contra ela; porque sua maldade subiu diante de mim.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:2 "Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:3---- Jonas 1:3 Porém Jonas se levantou para fugir da presença do SENHOR a Társis, e desceu a Jope; e achou um navio que partia para Társis. Então pagou sua passagem e entrou nele, para ir com eles a Társis [a fim de se distanciar] do SENHOR.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:4---- Jonas 1:4 Mas o SENHOR fez levantar um grande vento no mar; e fez-se uma tempestade tão grande no mar, que o navio estava a ponto de se quebrar.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:4 The Lord hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea so that the ship was about to break up.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:5---- Jonas 1:5 Então os marinheiros tiveram medo, e cada um clamava a seu deus; e lançaram no mar os objetos que havia no navio, para com eles diminuir o peso. Jonas, porém, havia descido ao interior do navio, e se pôs a dormir profundamente.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:5 Then the sailors became afraid and every man cried to his god, and they threw the cargo which was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone below into the hold of the ship, lain down and fallen sound asleep.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:6---- Jonas 1:6 E o capitão do navio se aproximou dele, e lhe disse: Que há contigo, dorminhoco? Levanta-te, e clama a teu deus; talvez ele se lembre de nós, para que não pereçamos.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:6 So the captain approached him and said, "How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god. Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:7---- Jonas 1:7 E disseram cada um a seu companheiro: Vinde, e lancemos sortes, para sabermos por causa de quem este mal [veio] sobre nós. Então lançaram sortes, e a sorte caiu sobre Jonas.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:7 Each man said to his mate, "Come, let us cast lots so we may learn on whose account this calamity has struck us." So they cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:8---- Jonas 1:8 Então eles lhe disseram: Conta-nos, por favor, por que nos este mal nos [veio] . Qual é a tua profissão, e de onde vens? On whose account has this calamity struck us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:9---- Jonas 1:9 E ele lhes respondeu: Sou hebreu, e temo ao SENHOR, o Deus dos céu, que fez o mar e a terra.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:9 He said to them, "I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:10---- Jonas 1:10 Então aqueles homens tiveram um grande medo, e lhe disseram: Por que fizeste isto? Pois aqueles homens sabiam que ele estava fugindo do SENHOR, porque ele já havia lhes dito.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:10 Then the men became extremely frightened and they said to him, "How could you do this?" For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:11---- Jonas 1:11 Então lhe disseram: O que faremos contigo, para que o mar se nos aquiete?Porque o mar cada vez mais se embravecia.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:11 So they said to him, "What should we do to you that the sea may become calm for us?"--for the sea was becoming increasingly stormy.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:12---- Jonas 1:12 E ele lhes respondeu: Tomai-me, e lançai-me ao mar, e o mar se vos aquietará; porque eu sei que foi por minha causa que esta grande tempestade [veio] sobre vós.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:12 He said to them, "Pick me up and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will become calm for you, for I know that on account of me this great storm has come upon you."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:13---- Jonas 1:13 Mas os homens se esforçavam para remar, tentando voltar à terra firme; porém não conseguiam, porque o mar cada vez mais se embravecia sobre eles.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:13 However, the men rowed desperately to return to land but they could not, for the sea was becoming even stormier against them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:14---- Jonas 1:14 Então clamaram ao SENHOR, e disseram: Ó SENHOR, nós te pedimos para não perecermos por causa da alma deste homem, nem ponhas sangue inocente sobre nós; porque, tu, SENHOR, fizeste como te agradou.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:14 Then they called on the Lord and said, "We earnestly pray, O Lord, do not let us perish on account of this man's life and do not put innocent blood on us; for You, O Lord, have done as You have pleased."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:15---- Jonas 1:15 Então tomaram a Jonas, e o lançaram ao mar; e o mar se aquietou de seu furor.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:15 So they picked up Jonah, threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:16---- Jonas 1:16 Por isso aqueles homens temeram ao SENHOR [com] grande temor; e ofereceram sacrifício ao SENHOR, e prometeram votos.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:16 Then the men feared the Lord greatly, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 1:17---- Jonas 1:17 Mas o SENHOR havia preparado um grande peixe para que tragasse a Jonas; e Jonas esteve três dias e três noites no ventre do peixe.(Portuguese) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon 1:17 And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jonah 2:1 ---- written 760 B.C.
